In my four week trip to San Miguel I stayed in three different hotels, including the most expensive one in town. Casa Carmen was hands down the best! I wish I could live there. The rooms are large, super clean, and comfortable. The courtyard with its blossoming orange trees is intoxicating. And the wonderful cook, Susanna, makes what should be...

We loved our stay at Casa Carmen. The staff was exceptional. The location was terrific for it's availability to downtown. However, if you are a senior and need quiet for a good night's sleep, it is probably not the place for you. In spite of this fact, we really enjoyed out stay and tolerated the ringing of church bells at...

Wow, what a charming hotel! Just a few rooms surrounding a patio in the middle. All rooms where different, our room had a loft and an open fireplace. Incredible relaxing outside in the patio. After a day we got to know the staff and other clients very well, so we felt like we were all Family. The staff was incredible...

Best location, great food, spacious rooms, and very clean. We loved the customer service provided by Johnathan the administrator, the night auditor/night watch person, and the lovely ladies that cook homemade breakfast and lunch. You can ask the ladies to cook lunch for you with advance notice and you can tell them what you would like to eat. I would...

Great experience. I was just relocating back to North America from Asia and didn't know anybody in this lovely town so on the advice of a friend I booked this hotel for a month. It was an awesome experience. Small but elegant 380 year old building with a charming courtyard and lovely antique artworks throughout. The breakfast was amazing and...

I stayed at Casa Carmen for a wedding in San Miguel. The bnb was gorgeous and everyone was so nice - I thought my Spanish was OK, but upon arriving in San Miguel, I realized I was rustier than I thought. They went out of their way to help us, My fiance even left a bunch of things in the...

Arranged to stay at Casa Carmen through another travel agency and chose the option to not have the desayuno. Very happy with the decision, because there are many wonderful places to have breakfast within walking distant. Service was great, however our room was average, didn't have windows, and had very poor wi-fi service.

We recently spent several nights at Casa Carmen in San Miguel. It had been recommended by a tour guide and we booked rooms based on that recommendation and on positive on-line reviews. We also liked that it was very close to the center of town and provided two meals a day. We thought it must be a very nice place...

Pros: Amazing location. Just 1.5 blocks from the Jardin Allende (main square). Can walk to all the major sites in the city. Right next to a popular restaurant Cumpanio. Was here for a wedding and multiple friends stayed at a bunch of different guest houses. Ours definitely had the best location. Doesn't have a view, but there are so many...
