This property is one of the most interesting in Sn Miguel de Allende due to its great design and architecture.
In this exclusive property rack rates go from USD1100 to USD4500 usd. Third party operatos in the web offer better better rates. As expected, during weekdays rates tend to go down to a comfortable USD240 /night.
Haven't stayed in the rooms, but visited the hotel to check possibilities for events.
One of the great spots it has is la represa , the old damn, facing the pool and a great exterior bar. Restaurants and interior bars and shops are a visual delight. Details are everywhere for a curious guest. Patios and terraces are exquisite and perfect for big events and weddings.
One of the things I didn't like was the valet service. I took more than 30 minutes to get our car. Employees of the valet parking literally lied to us when asked about why our car was taking so long. Answers like "car is on the way", "it won't take much", let us waiting longer than wished in the street. At the end, one of us went inside the corridor to check with the staff where they have the keys, only to discovered that although we had given the parking ticket 25 minutes earlier, the keys were still there and they were literally liying to us.
So yes, it's a beautiful hotel, service is good but valet parking service didn't meet expectations.

We had the BEST stay at Live Aqua. We were there over a holiday weekend and they helped us take care of everything smoothly and created a very exclusive and amazing experience for us, both at the hotel and in San Miguel more broadly. Their concierges were fantastic, especially Ricardo and Juan. Before we even arrived, they helped us with transportation, made reservations at wineries, booked a walking tour of the city, and multiple restaurant reservations – including at places that don’t take reservations (and just had a reserved table for us), and a chef’s table that they opened just for us that night. The spa was also fantastic. I wish we had budgeted the whole day to just hang out there. Massages were fantastic and the facilities were some of the best I’ve been to. Overall, it was a fantastic stay. They really took care of us and made us feel welcome. The location was great, we walked everywhere and only took a cab when it was raining. Beautifully modern hotel – the pictures don’t even do it justice, with a beautiful working dam across from the pool. HIGHLY recommend to anyone coming to SMA. Also, Live Aqua and SMA in general were the best place I've been to for COVID controls, hand sanitizer, masks, etc. We felt totally safe the entire time.

When I arrived to Live Aqua it appeared to be a beautiful 5 star hotel and I thought I was going to have a amazing experience. I checked in and went to the pool to relax and have a drink. In the middle of the day they had a group of construction workers cutting wood and sanding it at a extremely loud level. This made the whole pool experience unbearable and after getting a bad headache I went back to my room. Later that night I had dinner at Zibu the main restaurant there. When I tried to order a bottle or red wine the waiter couldn’t show me a full wine list since they had lost it and told me to point at a bottle on the wall. I thought he was kidding but after 30 minutes of no Mexican red wine list I gave up and pointed out one. The service was extremely bad throughout dinner even thought the food was decent. At this point, I was still willing to give the hotel a chance and I thought maybe it was just a few weird mistakes and I always try and make the best of my vacations. Unfortunately the next morning I was woken up early because loud construction was happening right above my room. I complained and nothing changed. Later that day I decided to go back to the pool hoping there was no construction. Even thought the wood cutting had stopped they decided to empty out the whole pool to only 2 feet of Water instead of the usually 4-5 they had. I tried to go for a swim but it was like being in a puddle of water and I went back to my room really in shock about how this hotel was pretty much a full on construction site. The next morning they competed the vacation of hell and I had the same issue with construction on top of me and called again. I was extremely frustrated and I checked out at 9am and brought it up to the front desk. He pretended not to speak English when I asked how he would make this right. He didn’t know my wife was a Spanish speaker so when he didn’t answer me she spoke to him in Spanish and he didn’t answer her either and just ran away and avoid answering. My food and beverage bill was around $900 and it would have been very easy of them to comp some of that or even a night but they chose to give a $0 refund and wouldnt even explain the construction. I asked them to reconsider this and he just stayed silent like he didn’t understand until I got frustrated and left. This was by far the worst customer service I have ever received. They should be ashamed to call themselves a 5 star hotel. When you’re in the wrong and have construction that wakes people up you should always do something to rectify the situation. This was the day of the dead holiday weekend which is a extremely busy weekend and not only did they not alert any of us they didn’t seem to care when we brought it up. I have stayed at other Live Aqua hotels that are excellent this one just seems not to care about customers. There are many other hotels including the the rosewood or casa blanca which will care a lot more about you as a customer in San Miguel.

We loved the whole experience, one of the best of its kind!
We decided to stay at Live Aqua for our 15th anniversary celebration and was the best decision we could’ve made. The place is beautiful! Every corner of the hotel and the room was so inviting, we’ll designed, and every detail in the room made it feel so homie. The products in our suit were of very good quality and they even gave us the freedom to pick the fragrance of our desire for our suit. The room had a turntable and a vinyl selection which made it so romantic and starting on the first night we were spoiled with treats from the chef for our anniversary (That was only the first of many, we received treats all the time at different places of the hotel during our stay, so lovely!!). My other favorite part was the service, simply outstanding! Always anticipating to every need with a kind smile. People like Natalie at the front desk, Celestino and Eden at the breakfast restaurant, Jose Reyes, at the tabaco bar and Eduardo at the swimming pool made us feel so well taken care of. And the food was also so good, we had buffet breakfast every day. We couldn’t resist from trying all those Mexican treats they had to offer everyday. To sum all up, we had an amazing experience, one of the best ever! We’ll definitely be back. Thank you all for making this one of our best anniversary celebrations!

Our stay with Live Aqua San Miguel was an absolutely wonderful experience. This was certainly one of the best hotels we've ever stayed at. The setting and architecture of the hotel was so lovely, we loved the breakfast in the morning and drinks by the pool. It was a peaceful oasis and the staff made us feel welcome and were very attentive to all of our questions. We loved the small details in the hotel that made our stay so special, the service in the room was outstanding we felt completely spoiled. The location is a short and safe walk to the main square and we enjoyed been just outside of the busy area where it was quiet and peaceful. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in San Miguel - having visited the other hotels in the area offering 5 star experiences as well - I would choose Live Aqua again every time.

This place is amazing! The service is great and the food is pretty good. It’s an amazing place to spend some relaxing time. Their spa is delightful and everything is very clean. It is pet friendly and my dog love it all, although they charge $2,000 pesos more per night if you bring your dog. They offer a brunch for “free” when you arrive to the hotel to talk about some discounts in your following reservations, which is really a point plan, it can be good if you don’t have any other but if you don’t buy with them, they’ll get out contacts that can buy from you and make you pay for the “free” brunch. I don’t think that was a good move. Everything else is pretty good.

The staff is friendly and the food at the restaurants was very good although I was a little disappointed at the limited wine list at all of their restaurants. The pool was too chilly for us so we didn't get in but we still enjoyed the pool area. Our room with deck and outdoor jacuzzi was beautiful but not very practical. There was just one hook for a towel and nowhere to unpack your luggage even though it's a huge room. The shower temp would also go back and forth from hot to cold. On the first night we realized that the jacuzzi's thermostat was broken. The next day the technician came to fix it but wasn’t able to.
While the technician was there the concierge messaged us to invite us to breakfast and to see what she could do to ensure that all our trips would be great. I thought "that's cool she realized that we had some issues and wants to do something about it.”
At breakfast I realized that it was just a sales pitch so I interrupted her to say that I misunderstood and that we weren’t interested. She said “OK”, let me talk to my manager to see how we can resolve this. The manager came looking somewhat perturbed and said that if we weren’t going to listen to the pitch that we would have to pay for the breakfast. This was in front of other tables at the restaurant. I couldn’t care less about the paying for the breakfast but this was extremely rude and uncomfortable not only for us but the other tables. I explained calmly that I misunderstood and that I assumed she wanted to discuss the issues with our stay. After mentioning them, I clarified that I had no problem paying for the breakfast and she said “OK” and walked off with the concierge never to be seen again.
Before finishing breakfast, I informed the front-desk, that we would be checking out soon. 15 minutes later I went to checkout and surprisingly they hadn’t done anything to prep for our checkout. I mentioned the problem with the jacuzzi and the desk lady went to talk to someone and came back to say that they would comp me for the breakfast. It just seemed like such a bad response that I asked to see the manager but the manager was not there that day. She said one would call me but that was a week ago and still no call.
Unfortunately it was one of our worst experiences at a hotel.

My wife and I just returned home from a 4 night stay and being a member of Fiesta Americana Vacation Club since 2005 and stayed at eight different Fiesta American hotels (some all-inclusive) Live Aqua San Miguel de Allende is awesome hotel. We loved the small details in the hotel that made our stay so special, the service was outstanding we felt completely spoiled and all the restaurants were fabulous. The location is a short and safe walk to the main square, and we enjoyed been just outside of the busy area where it was quiet and peaceful. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in San Miguel de Allende.

The hotel is a nice place, big and beautiful decorated. But they are not prepare to develop the service for the rate they have.
At our arrival we have to wait for one and a half hour to have our room, even though we were on time to check in. And nobody said nothing. They just advise us that they are late and then desapear 😬
At night when I took a shower the bathroom was full of water, so we need to call someone to clean it all… we had a loooot of water in. The next day they had to repair the shower because it was broken and that was the problem.
Tv and telephone went out of service every day at 4:00 pm so we need to walk to the front desk every time we need something and had no TV until 10 am next day. They sent a technician but could do nothing.
At the pool we ask for something to eat, and they came with the wrong order.
Also had some noise workers repairing and painting near our room every day.
The restaurant was good, and the food too, also the service there was good too.
I spoke with the experience manager, she looked for us to talk and I told her all the things that had happen, she said she is going to do something for us but the next day when I ask for any answer, she said.. I am sorry I couldn’t do anything, we don’t understood why she looks to speak with us if she will not do anything. Also she asks, how do you ask for food to your room if your phone isn’t working? As if we are living. Of course we ask for room service walking to the front desk!
We went with our pet, and it is good to know that some hotels accept pets, but take care because this hotel accept pets, but give you rooms that don’t receive any sun, are a little bit isolated and have this kind of problems, specially maintenance one’s.
It was not a good experience.
