What a perfect place to stay! Antonieta and her staff make you feel at home right away. So helpful with everything and so responsive with all my questions before and during the stay. Great advice to make the trip special. Then the hotel. Just beautiful. You can tell it was a labor of love to build this place and it's just beautiful. And spotless. And a great location. Close to town, but up a hill where it's quieter. You will have to walk the hill a lot, but a reward is the fabulous sunsets from the roof. The breakfasts are delicious and with big portions. Hummingbirds, bougainvillea, art, and wonderful people. I researched lots of places, including the Rosewood-type places and will stay here again next time we go to San Miguel.

Antonieta and her staff are hands down the best!!! They make you feel like family as soon as you walk in. Let me tell you….. breakfast is AMAZING!!! Worth the few added pounds. :) This was my second time visiting this gorgeous B&B and I will continue visiting for years to come. Out of all the places to spend my 40th birthday celebration, I chose SMA and Antigua Capilla B&B. Antonieta, THANK YOU for your hospitality and for making our stay a memorable one. Till we meet again! Abby Saenz Houston, Texas 2021

We stayed at Antigua Capilla for four nights during a stay in San Miguel de Allende, and we're so glad we did! The owner, Antonieta, was so, so helpful throughout our entire stay. She helped with booking travel arrangements to and from the airport, taxis within the city, and recommendations for things to do and places to eat. She and her husband, as well as the rest of the staff, were super friendly and accommodating for the duration of our stay. The location was ideal, a quick 10-15 minute walk from the city center. But be warned, that hill on the way up is no joke! The place itself is super cute! The decor is perfection and we were very comfortable in the Oaxaca room. The views are stunning, and you really get a feel for the city! We saw that some had complained about the noise level, but compared to the many b&b's we've stayed in, this was no more noise than we'd expect. We also stayed in a VRBO later in the week, which had an equal volume level; it didn't bother us a bit! More importantly, everything was super clean and we had everything we needed for the duration of our stay. Overall, we were absolutely thrilled with our stay, and would absolutely return for another visit!!

I traveled one month ago with my wife to San Miguel de Allende for a leisure/work trip and we discovered this beatiful space. I had lived for more than ten years in this Unesco city so it was perfect to me. The B&B is located in one of the original neighborhoods of the old village : Barrio del Tecolote. This means that the walking to the Centro is just a discovery waking tour by itself. Both Francisco and Antonieta take care of the guests and everyday we had breakfast with them. The building is new but respectfully designed around a chapel from 16th. Century. The patio is the most charming space to work, read a book or smell the roses or to watch the fly of many hummingbirds that come for the flowers nectar. Wi-Fi is very strong every where and we loved our Oaxaca finecrafts decorated room which included a great bathtube. You can really feel the spirit of the real San Miguel here.

We could just move in! Antigua Capilla is so well done with an old world ambiance and warmth. The landscaping is beautiful and lush with many hummingbirds and a Spanish fountain and an ancient Chapel. Our room was so comfortable and the bath very luxurious. Breakfast was great with a different egg dish every morning along with coffee fresh fruit and yogurt. Also, I was on a diet and the cooks made me special dishes. Antonieta, our hostess was so warm and welcoming and helpful and she arranged a driver for us to go to nearby town and explore. The ten minute walk into town was invigorating and the cafes and restaurants excellent…..Just loved everything about it and we will be returning!
