Lovely staff, excellent breakfast, hotel is clean and comfortable. Would definitely visit again
The hotel is a stones throw away from the beach, loads of Parking nearby and there are a few eateries within 5 minutes walk . Room had a good sized bathroom and a small terrace if you wanted to sit out. Opted for a long walk on the beach ourselves. Recommend the place as a great stopover on way to ferries

Excellent address, small but neat room and sea view. Sweet and savory breakfast very varied and delicious and for the welcome it is the TOP, kind, very smiling and not stingy with various information.
I highly recommend this establishment and I think we will return. Thank you 👌

Simple and well located hotel. Dogs are accepted at no extra charge and that is very appreciated.
It would be necessary to consider some small works but overall is acceptable and the breakfast has improved a lot in recent years!

I spent a wonderful few days in this Family Pension with my grandchildren Eliott and Théa. This Inn is very well placed within walking distance of the beach and shops. The team is very welcoming and caring, listening to its customers. The comfortable family room. Breakfast very qualitative and hearty, my grandchildren feasted. I will be back next year and would highly recommend this Pension.

We decided to stay at the Chez Marion for 2 nights, rather than in Caen,as its better value for money. The hotel is close to the Merville sea front and lovely beach, and the town itself is pretty, with nicely laid out flowers, and more modern than most towns in the area. Not much to do though, but its nice enough walking about. The hotel owner gave us a nice welcome, and our room was spendidly clean and even had a kettle and tea/coffee,which is unusual for France! Parking is right outside and completely safe. Breakfast is the normal french, but with some lovely ham slices, and all the food was of good quality. We didnt eat in the restaurant as we were out,but the smell of fish and the quality of the decor showed that it was a good place for eating. We did glance at the prices, and it looked a bit expensive. There are a few places to eat in the town, but not a great choice, and of course,it being a seaside town, fish and shellfish/mussels etc featured highly on the menus!
The hotel is highly reccomended though.

We stayed here overnight before catching our ferry from Ouisterham the next morning. We had a bit of time on the beach which is great and had a wonderful meal in the restaurant, which despite it being a Saturday night welcomed our small children very well. We had a family room, the childrens' beds were in a small alcove which was great. The only downside was that we had to leave so early in the morning we could not get breakfast and we had to let ourselves out through the back door. It is about 20mins from the port when there is no traffic but it's the closest place we could get a nice hotel with a family room.

My husband and I booked a stay at Chez Marion for 3 nights 19/20/21 May while we visited the Normandy D-Day Landing Beaches. We had also booked another hotel in Caen for the following 2 nights but we were so impressed with the location, quiet village, seaview and excellent food that we decided to extend our stay in Chez Marion and cancelled our Caen stay. The bedroom, not too big, but was adequately furnished with large double bed, wardrobe and desk and 2 chairs. We had tea/coffee making facilites supplied. Iron & Ironing board was immediately supplied upon request. En suite had good shower, no bath but was adequate for our stay. Room is a little on the tired side with regard to decor but certainly did not take away from our stay. We had a wonderful seaview from our room which also looked out on a large green area (so quiet at night-bliss) We dined in the Restaurant for dinner on two evenings and both evenings the food and service was just wonderful. Good wine selection. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful with lots of cereals, juices, cold meats, cheese, yogurts & fruit and served by very pleasant staff in both places.

The staff at the Chez Marion are in the main very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and good value for the 3 nights we stayed. The restaurant serves very good food but it is somewhat pricey if you choose a la carte, best to have the demi pension room rate if you choose to eat at the hotel. The location of the hotel is very near the beach and the small town centre.

We had eaten at Chez Marion on previous trips, and chose the hotel for a 2-night break between our flight to Paris and our ultimate destination, the Cotentin peninsula. The restaurant was as we remembered - expertly-prepared local products on the Menu du Terroir, and the widest selection of Calvados anywhere - and the hotel itself was lovely.

In addition to napping, we enjoyed walking on the beautiful sandy beach, hiking the trail along the Orne estuary, and visiting Cabourg.
