We stayed in Villa San Savino last year. The villa is very nicely decorated and the pool has great views over open countryside - very peaceful. We booked direct through the Tenuta di Marlo estate (cut out the middle man!) and got a very good rate. The villa does not have a/c but there were electric fans in each bedroom... More

We stayed at Torre for a few days in October. The villa was lovely and well looked after by the staff of Murlo. The views were gorgeous, the weather, misty in the morning, cleared for beautiful warm days, which we spent hiking and exploring many of the adjacent hilltop towns. Having visited previously in high summer, late October was a... More

We recently concluded a week's stay at the magnificent Villa Santa Croce. It sits at the top of the ridge and offers a panoramic view of the mountains and valleys of Umbria. The villa itself is beautifully appointed, comfortable, and well-equipped. It's one of those rare occasions when the actual beauty of the place exceeds the promise of the glossy... More

We visited Tenuta di Murlo with our three children aged 9 and 6 in August for two weeks. We initially stayed at Subtillia and then transferred on to Villa Torre in the second week. It was our first vacation of this type and we throughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff are so so very efficient and warm and are quick to... More

We spent one week at this beautiful, unforgettable get-away. I've been to many similar places in Tuscany, but this resort in off-the-beaten-path Umbria outshines them all. The staff was friendly and very accomodating (a special nod to Namal, who seemed to be able to anticipate our needs and whose professionality and sense of reserve was much appreciated). It is nice... The comments below are a summary of an e-mail sent in July to the Owner and Abercrombie and Kent, the former having declined to reply over a period of four weeks. Villa Santa Croce is very fairly represented by the website and A & K Pictures, it truly is idylic and externally is a vision, remote and at most times... More

We have been to Tenuta di Murlo our second year now. Together with friends we stayed at Villa San Croce (after having stayed at Ville Torre in 2014, which we can also heavily recommend). The Villa and the surrounding property is just gorgeous. Any additional description would be superfluous. This is the place where you want to go when you... More

We have been going to Murlo with the family for 6 years and can not fault anything about it. The villas are exceptional, the staff polite and helpful, the golf is great. il Caldaro has a very good choice of food. The scenery is wonderful, sunsets and views amazing. The family ages from 67 years to 3 Months. Cycling, running,... More

We returned from Tenuta di Murlo a few weeks ago after a fabulous week at Villa Caminata. We travelled with 4 adults, 2 X 18 years olds and 2 13 X year olds. Every member of our party felt it was the best holiday they have ever had. The villa was incredible. It was beautiful, spacious, comfortable and well appointed... More

We rented Villa Torre with another family this summer and looooovved it! I had spent numerous hours the summer before trying to find the perfect villa for our two families of four. Villa Torre in Tent di Murlo fit the bill because: 1) It looked incredible 2) I liked the idea of it being on an estate with daily services... More
