The Locanda is located in the beautiful village of Ollomont, and is a restaurant, a brasserie and a chambres d’hotes with five beautiful restored rooms with all facilities. The menu is inspired by the kitchen from Liguria, Piedmont, Trentino and Aosta and uses of course the famous Fontina cheese from Ollomont Summer activities include guided tours, hiking, trekking, mountain bike, horseback riding, mountain climbing and a lot more… Winter is of course concentrated around snow activities which includes ski, both alpine and cross country skiing. Walking in snowshoes is becoming more and more popular and so is ice wall climbing.

Leila and Sharif are magnificent hosts. The food was plentiful and delicious, the accomodations were very comfortable. We had the two-level room with balcony and the beds were excellent. Right outside the door, there is access to the AV1 that takes you to Rifugio Champillon all the way to Courmayeur. Or you can stay in the vicinity with day hikes to Glassier Waterfalls and Lago de By. There is a bus that runs here at the car park in the morning that will take you to Aosta. Would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed two nights at the Miniere with the half board option. Home cooked food was excellent. Hotel, rooms, everything is very clean and comfy. Staff is very helpful and friendly and as our daughter speaks both Italian and French we got by well. Room was on the small side but good for a short stay with no big equipment.

got here at the enf a dsy hiking in the alps, so i was particularly touched by the warm welcome.the room was full of character the design really stands out for this type of small family run hotel in the aoosta valley, the room was just pleasent to stay in. the owner offered to do my laundry (what a relief!) for just a couple of euro. dinner was generous (tasty risotto, good crostata) all for a ressonable price!

Enjoyed a memorable 3 night stay in this excellent mountain pension. Ollomont itself is to be found in a beautiful valley extending north from the Val d’Aosta. The Locanda is run by a husband and wife team who work very hard to ensure that their guests are both comfortable and very well fed. On arrival, we were greeted by Charlie, the owners beautiful and very friendly Apenzeller dog. Our room was spacious with a view from the front of the hotel across the valley, a very comfortable bed and a spotless shower room. We took both breakfast and dinner in the Locanda – breakfast was a buffet of cereals, yoghurts, pastries and bread and jams with excellent coffee. Dinner was prepared and served by Gloria whose knowledge and transformation of local ingredients is second to none! Over our 3 evenings, we ate a variety of excellent dishes all freshly prepared and cooked to order. A real gem of a place.…
