What a lovely family hotel. I like places like this. We booked an all-inclusive and it was good. Great location to visit the Rhine region, just a short bit away from the Loreley and Koblenz. The staff is friendly, the hotel clean and the family room we had was amazing. Very spacious, as I came to expect from family hotels in Germany. We even got a free train pass to visit the region. This place is highly recommended.

On arrival for our 4 night stay were ushered to alternative accommodation behind the hotel, in a dingy house, our room was very dated and very small as well as being dark, we were actually staying in a house somwhere else, the house was named Sonja. The breakfast was just basically boring, the same each day, no hot food just hard boiled eggs sitting to be consumed, generally barely warm. Dinners were hardly edible, meat or fish covered in thick sauces, vegetables overcooked appearing grey in colour. Deserts were average. The place stunk of smokers, people just smoking with no consideration for others. Overall beware, would never return to this dump!!

The rooms are okay, though that differs from room to room. Dinner was so so.. the breakfast (8-10) was a huge disappointment. Coming for breakfast around 9 the bread was stale, almost all items on the buffet were gone. Getting coffee was another issue.. either the machine wasn’t working or there weren’t any cups. Trying to get coffee later was also impossible.. people need their coffee!

Stayed for the second time at the hotel located between Boppard and Koblenz. The hotel may be dated in the rooms but the accommodation is clean, comfortable, with balcony looking over the Rhine river. They served a good set dinner and have a great breakfast buffet spread. Excellent for one night stay. My only comment is to upgrade the WiFi system it is outdated and speed varies a lot. Recommended

Worst staff ever. Booked an Ultra all inclusive arrangement but if you ask for a simple cup of coffe it is not instant available. And this is just one example. Will never return to this Gasthaus again!
