We thoroughly enjoyed our nine night stay in a premium beachfront one bedroom king on the 4th floor.
The units have an elevator and stairwell from assigned parking but also a separate elevator from the beach side that accesses two units.
Unit 404 had a jacuzzi on the huge balcony and we used it almost daily.
Both the bedroom and living room had TV’s with extensive channels, including those with NFL playoffs.
Housekeeping was thorough and terrific every day. The washer & dryer was very helpful for our longer stay.
We also enjoyed the onsite Gazebo Grille for every breakfast and a few lunches, dinners and desserts with cocktails. The entire staff here was friendly and helpful and we loved talking to them all.
There were plenty of loungers and umbrellas at both the pool or beach and the pool water was a nice temperature.
Our only disappointment was the weather did not permit use of the boat or hobie cats. This also created a rocky beach.
Security here was 24/7 and always monitored entry.
Having stayed at many of the 5 star resorts we loved our stay here and would definitely return.

Our apartment had 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, a very spacious living room, a fully equipped kitchen and a beautiful sea view balcony. The food was great, only wish the menu had more options. Housekeeping kept everything neat and tidy. Staff were friendly especially James at the reception was very helpful. The beach had soft clean powdery sands. My mom, brother and I had a wonderful relaxing family holiday at St Peter's bay and we hope to stay there again.

The Saint Peter's Bay Resort exceeded my expectations! Absolutely stunning Caribbean seashore location and excellent suits. I was looking for an apartment with a kitchen and was pleasantly surprised by the high quality kitchen appliances, including a Miele dishwasher and icemaker freezer/fridge. The suite also had a separate laundry room with washer and drier. But most of all I was impressed by the staff. Concierge James was most helpful in every respect and booked all our tours and car rides. Housekeeping came every day and were meticulous and paid attention to requests. Overall the atmosphere created by the staff at the resort, including beach attendants was very friendly and helpful. I plan to visit again next year with my extended family.

Our first time on Barbados and on arrival here we were delighted with the accommodation. Very spacious, immaculate 2/3 bedroom apartment (they're not "villas"), decent kitchen, and a lovely balcony overlooking the pool/sea. We'd had great interaction with Shane before arrival and were looking forward to a relaxing stay.

We thought the location was fine, plenty of great little places nearby and a short walk into Speightstown we didn't need much else tbh.

So far so good. But.....we are a pair of mature couples and the resort just isn't aimed at us. It really is better for families I'd say unless you're in a particular part of the resort. Ours, 209, central first floor (level 2) was immediately above the kids club and directly overlooked the pool area. This was signed as closing at 6pm but was often in use by very noisy groups much later than this which meant we couldn't use our balcony. We requested the concierge on several occasions to deal with this, which they did. Fortunately the club wasn't well attended so disturbance from there was only an occasional issue.

If you were determined to come here, I'd suggest requesting something as far away from the pool as possible and perhaps on a higher floor. This would have improved our experience greatly I believe. So sadly not somewhere we would return which is a shame as our initial impression was so good.

We ate at the Gazebo restaurant as we arrived early evening, this a was a mistake not to be repeated. At 8pm we were the only diners and they couldn't wait to get rid of us. Starters and mains all arrived together, rather overpriced and they closed at 9.30, wouldn't even serve us another drink. Pretty poor really.

We were on a breakfast inclusive. This was limited but decent with some nice omelettes etc but the coffee!! We gave up on this, we could order coffee which "wasn't on the plan" at some daft price but didn't as a matter of principle. On our last day they relented and gave us a decent Americano. The other stuff was instant granules from a catering pack. C'mon you're better than this surely?!

So, slightly disappointing in the end but maybe we were just in the wrong place??

We booked a premium one bedroom villa so were astonished to find we'd been given a 3 bedroom apartment complete with sea view, hot tub on the balcony, luxury fully equipped kitchen, 4 poster bed and walk in wardrobe !

We've travelled all over the world but this was one of the best apartments we've been lucky enough to enjoy.

The resort was pretty quiet during our visit in November so absolutely no problem with noisy children in the pool etc mentioned by other reviewers.

Beach was fantastic and the staff very attentive. We made good use of the free sunbeds, kayaks and paddle boards.

We ate in the restaurant a couple of times which was very nice but the resort is a short walk from Speightstown which offers plenty of fantastic food & drink options.

If we visit Barbados again (outside school holidays), Saint Peters Bay Resort will be #1 on our list.

Stayed in 3rd floor apartment which was great. Superb sea/ beach view and felt private. Interior was classic and stylish. Bed super comfy. Nothing to complain about in the slightest.
Beach beautiful and felt secluded. Shallow water and safe for kids to paddle.
Staff friendly and understated.
Restaurant wasn’t great - hugely expensive and wasn’t really somewhere we wanted to spend much time. This is in comparison to Cobblers Cove a couple of doors down which was 1st class. I think perhaps the exterior needs a refurb as the grounds between the property & the beach just needs a refurb. Would be great to have a beach bar/ grill and a decent pool- perhaps some uplifting music to give it a better ambience. There was a pool but it wasn’t inviting which is a shame and could be fantastic as the backdrop is stunning.
Overall we really enjoyed our trip and the hotel. We didn’t like the restaurant setting and the price of meals and drinks was simply too high.
Hopefully with some tweaks in the future after everyone has had time to regroup after the pandemic, this would become a must go to destination.
4 star rating with a potential 5 star with a few adjustments.
The concierge and staff were lovely.
Would we stay again - possibly.

This resort exceeded my expectations! The staff is amazing, friendly and extremely helpful. We ate at the Cliffs and other high end restaurants, but the food here at the resort restaurant was some of the best on the island.
The 1 bedroom villa we stayed in was immaculate and gorgeously decorated. I can’t say enough about this resort. I would absolutely recommend and return here again.
5 stars all around. If you like to snorkel there is a great free reef right in front of the hotel. They also have a water taxi that will take you to lunch or for snorkeling with the turtles!!

Booked a 3 bed apartment. You get 4 dinner plates 4 mugs etc
We were on the ground floor with patio doors that didnt lock
The microwave beeped continuously as it was faulty
The air con packed up on day 3 and was dripping
Staff were amazing and kept fixing things but are fighting a losing battle with a property that needs a refurb and deep clean.

Got told I couldn't use the air con in gym whilst training and when i asked why i was told that I should 'respect' the owner ! he had bought a place i was only holidaying. There is a welcome night where all the owners come and swap stories of their colonial pedigrees - awful arrogance on display
I would not recommend this place and would not go back, it was dirty, we had crabs walking around in the bathrooms , bedding got changed on day 6 after we told the concierge. At this point we were allocated a good cleaner.
Limited breakfast menu and dinner was more expensive than the nice local restaurants.

Barbados wrote a review Feb 2020

My husband and I have been to the beautiful island of Barbados many times in the past.
We decided to stay somewhere we had have never stayed before.
That was a big and costly MISTAKE.

The concierge service was excellent, from the moment we scheduled our trip, to arriving at the resort.
The resort is located in a tight neighborhood of homes, with no sidewalks and heavy traffic. It prevented us from walking on the streets and the beach was extremely tight and small. Not inviting at all.
There was nothing around the resort to walk to or do.

The resort itself had no amenities to want us to stay and relax as well. There is one restaurant that closed early, as we were the only diners at dinner. We were the only diners at breakfast as well.
We had rented a car through the resort, though we had to call a cab for going out to dinner, as we didn’t feel comfortable having a drink at dinner and driving in the neighborhood.
It became costly with the cab, but we wanted to explore on our own with the car during the day.

After much discussion, we decided to cut our stay after two days, as we were were so unhappy with the location and lack of amenities at the resort.
We explained to concierge that we were checking out and why. We were hopeful that we would have some of our money refunded. As we paid sight unseen in full as contracted.
We asked if they could see fit to refund even a small amount.
Comp our gazebo charge possibly?
That did not happen.
We spent $7200 For a two night stay.
We continued our stay elsewhere and were very happy we did.
Our trip was extremely costly but worth the move to another resort.

I previously rated this place a 5 star due to my previous visit and interactions with everyone. Unfortunately their customer service is great when you are spending money but when you are due a refund it is absolutely horrific. They have yet to refund some of my guest from a 2020 booking and after several follow up calls, and emails, they are now saying it will be processed by the end of the year. Refund was requested March 2021. They never disputed giving the refund, only the timeframe in which the refund would be processed. I understand that many businesses were affected from the pandemic (including my own) but it is totally unacceptable for any guest to wait this long to receive a refund that they are fully entitled to. I can understand 6 months (which is still a long time) but having to wait close to a year for a refund is absolutely ridiculous! To add insult to injury, they can’t even simply refund the card that was used for purchase, they want you to send in another form with your credit card information to process the refund (which was done months ago). Never heard of such ridiculousness. If there is even a slight chance you will cancel your trip, please don’t book this place! You will get your refund. Just may take a year or so.
