We recently stayed at the Old Manse Chatton - Ian and Mary are welcoming hosts, and make a great breakfast to start your day. We stayed in the Harthorpe room; four poster bed which is very comfortable and a great nights sleep, sofa, tv - we loved the extras like the fridge facilities inc milk and choccy biscuits as a... Glad you enjoyed your brief stay with us, and that we were able to rectify the mix up with online booking agent for you - it's always better to book direct and we like it that way. More

I was really looking forward to staying here, it looked so lovely from the outside, my instincts were right, inside it is beautifully decorated, so much thought and care has gone into making your stay so comfortable, a warm welcome awaited us from Ian and Mary who are both so friendly, soon we were sat with a pot of tea... We have just returned from a 4 night Break at The Old Manse Chatton. Our stay was faultless in every possible way from the moment we arrived until we reluctantly left. Ian and Mary work as a perfect team to ensure a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Mary is a a wealth of knowledge about the attractions and how to schedule a... More

What a one night stay. The coffee and home made scones Mmmmmmmmmm. We had a excellent experience and the owners could not do enough for us. Being mobility challenged it was appreciated. The breakfast was excellent and was the best start to the day. It was excellent value for price. Will be going again

Great place everything was done for us so well by Mary & Ian to make our stay memorable to the extent that we always tried to get back in good time to see what Ian had cooked for us to eat with our early evening tea. The weather station was a brilliant invention that always created a great deal of... More

Glad you enjoyed your stay with us. The fun of using a local artisan baker is you're never quite sure what mood the baker is in that morning - crusty top or floury top. Our weather station has proven more accurate that the Met Office forecast on many occasions. More

Stayed at The Old Manse for 4 nights with our pet Molly the westie in Sept 2015. A warm welcome on arrival from Ian and Mary with tea and cake. Ian and Mary are very knowledgeable about the area where to go where to eat. We had the Ingram suite which was really lovely with breakfast served in the conservatory,... More

Stopped here for one night Sept 2015. If Carling did B&B this would be it. Warm welcome from the owners who couldn't do enough for us. We had tea and scones on arrival and as much information as we could take about Chatton, Chillingham and the surrounding area. The owners book a table for us at the local pub for... More

Weekend visit to Chatton a delightful village in Northumberland not far from Wooler. An excellent stay at the Old Manse probably as good as it gets for a bed and breakfast, hosts friendly breakfast very good. Location perfect for access to National Park walking and the beautiful Northumberland coast.

Stayed here for two nights. We stayed in the Harthope Room. The old Manse is an amazing place in a good location for exploring Northumberland. Mary and Ian made us feel so welcome. On arrival we were given a much needed cuppa and buttered barra brith. The breakfast was amazing, and the floddies were yummy. As for our room......what can... More

I'm glad we were able to exceed your expectations. BTW the home made afternoon delicacy on that day would have been Selkirk Bannock (not Bara Brith) - we're on the Scottish Borders, not the Welsh. Hopefully, next time you come you will be treated to scones, shortbread, banana cake... or whatever comes out of the oven on that day. More
