This is a beautiful holiday cottage in fabulous surroundings. Andy and Lorna help to make sure your holiday is perfect from the time you enter the main gate. Bread, scones, Jam, cream and a warm kettle awaited us, which was just what we needed after our long journey. Being able to feed the sheep and help with the bee keeping... More

Finding Spylaw was no trouble, which is partly why it is such a great location - far enough from the main road and towns for seclusion without being too cut off. Lovely cream tea to welcome us! With 6 adults and two dogs, it was just about enough space. Walking from the property with dogs is fairly restricted to starting... More

Our visit to Skylaw Farm was perfect from the warm welcome (complete with home made scones) to the excellent location. The farm is ideally situated for both the cheviots and the coast. We stayed in cuddys loft a delightful little charactorful cottage supplied with everything anyone could possibly need. A wonderful retreat or ideal base for exploring couldnt recommend more.

Our second visit to Homildon House & such a wonderful place for a restful holiday. A warm welcome from Lorna & Andy, home baking, home grown produce & peace! Such a great place to just relax & watch the sheep, admire the views as well as being handy for so much to see. We recommend The Ship at Low Newton... More

Just back from a short break at the smaller cottage "The Cuddys Croft", what a find this turned out to be. On arrival, we were greeted very warmly by the owners Andy & Lorna and once inside the cottage, discovered the most delicious home made cream tea waiting for us, along with home made bread, eggs & milk. The cottage... More

We left sunny Wigan and arrived in very different weather. Cold and wet! Cuddy's Croft is a lovely cottage. Very clean and tastefully decorated with modern appliances. The weather unfortunately continued to be miserable but we still had a very enjoyable time. We visited Bamburgh, Seahouses, Lindisfarne, Berwick and a few other small villages. Muttley, our pooch had the time... More

Even though the weather was not as good as sunny Wigan, we're so glad you enjoyed your holiday at Spylaw and you found so many places of interest to visit. September and October always have very settled weather so perhaps try those months next time. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. With very best wishes. More

Andy and Lorna were so welcoming and the farm is beautiful. It was a lovely time of year to visit as there was lambs and turkey chicks hatching. Its the perfect base for exploring Northumberland. We would definitely visit again!

Not only was the entire cottage high-spec comfort and amenities but our hosts were there if we needed them and most welcoming. They encouraged us to enjoy the farm and learn about it and it was an important part of my holiday to go round with Andy when he fed the livestock. You don't always get a hospitality tray in... Our family stayed in the Homildon House. It was perfect for me and my husband (Siegrist) and our daughter, her husband and our 2 grandchildren (Joyce-Gibbons). We had plenty of space. Also, they had baby lambs born during our stay. Andy allowed us to follow him around doing chores and answered our questions. My 3 year old grandson loved petting... More
