We booked our room well in advance and arrived at 3.30pm on 23/04/2016. I had misgivings long before our arrival as I'm not one for staying in hotels unless they're five star rated. We were lucky to get the last parking spot at the front of the hotel and proceeded, with our baggage, through the entrance into a lobby which... More

This would be a cracking local pub if it could just maintain a landlord for longer than a few months. Keeps changing hands due to pressures from the Brewery. Currently has a new chef and the food has been very good. Be good to see the landlord stick this out.

Called into Ribchester for a meal Saturday evening and went to the White Bull. The meal was one of the best I had had in a pub. We decided to book in B&B for our sons graduation in July at UCLAN. Would highly recommend.

My wife and I were in Ribchester for one night. The review should really be split between the accommodation side and the restaurant side to do both of them justice. The accommodation aspect was good - the staff was friendly, the room was OK (although it would have been useful to have the mirrors mounted so that you can see... More

Called in at the end of February midweek lunchtime and didn't expect anywhere open as the village had been under water for most of Christmas. Other pubs were still closed after the floods but the White Bull was open. It was very quiet inside. After chatting with the staff, it was apparent they didn't know about the floods as they... More

Sunday afternoon drinks in the bar and Sunday for tea the week after. Well worth a visit. Busy Sunday tea time, staff good, beer good and the food lovely. Sunday menu only. Mix up with desserts, quickly rectified. Will go again midweek to try different menu and would sit at the bar anytime for drinks.

Definitely worth a revisit if you've not been for a few years and a fantastic place for visitors to experience the essence of Ribchester. Wonderful food and lovely, efficient staff. We've been for lunch and for a couple of nights out (live music nights are great!) So pleased the White Bull is back at the heart of our village!

We visited the pub on Friday evening as we were staying at the nearby Riverside Barn B&B and only a short walk away. The restaurant was rather busy when we arrived and had to wait to be seated but we weren't in a rush. The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The food was really good... More

Visited over the Christmas period and on a number of occasions before and each time recieved great service, excellent food and great cask ales. Not to be missed and in a great location on the banks or the river ribble and overlooking the roman bath house ruins

Had a meal at the White Bull this weekend with 7 diners. Very poor service and the food was disappointing. Will not be going again until it improves. Most of the food were over cooked, particually the vegetables and chips. Cutlery was brought to the table several minutes after the food came. The bill was incorrect, you can only pay... More
