We stayed 4 nights demi-pension ("Escape Package") that was excellent value. All the staff were kind, courteous and most helpful and the classic 19th century style accommodation was spacious, clean and well appointed, although you have to make some allowance for the creaky wooden floors! The restaurant is first class with a fine menu and good wine list. The hotel... More

The château overlooks the River. The bedrooms and other guest areas are furnished in a period style whilst having some modern features. The welcome and service is every thing you would expect from Relais Chateaux and whilst this was our first visit it wont be our last. Ideal retreat for a romantic getaway. We loved it.

A fabulous location on the South Brittany Coast. The Chateau is very atmospheric and retains much of its historic charm. In particular there is a fantastic cantilevered wooden staircase leading up to the bedrooms. It is very creaky but quite beautiful. The public rooms are well kept and full of character, though some of the fabrics could do with upgrading.... More

Arrived in the rain so unable to explore the lovely looking grounds. Greeted by staff and shown to room upgrade on the Ground Floor. Beautifully appointed bedroom and en suite. The Public Rooms were well furnished and it was a real "chateau" experience

We stayed in this hotel in early May and it was a superb experience. The facilities are wonderful, we had a beautiful room with high ceilings and bay windows overlooking the lake. The staff was excellent. We were greeted by the concierge who was extremely helpful. Dinner was also superb....and the Maitre D was so very helpful in selecting our... More

My wife and I just finished a stay there. Although the weather did not cooperate it did not lessen the experience. Service was attentive and very cordial. Whisky in the salon among the Chateau's historic forebears was very special since we learned that one participated with Lafayette in the American Revolution. My wife also enjoyed playing the piano which was... More

I stayed there for 5 days, the place is very nice, clean, spacious rooms and all you can expect from a Relais et Châteaux it is about 10km from Lorient, so if you need to visit Lorient or work there its ideal. The room service is of high standards; I recommend the place and will visit again if I am... More

We stayed two nights here in July and it is fabulous - they kindly upgraded us to a suite so we had lots of space. Apparently, it was the first Breton establishment to join Relais et Chateaux. It thoroughly deserves the distinction ... but the strangest thing - we only ever encountered male members of management and staff; most of... More

It feels a bit like in a dream with the wondeful view on the estuary in a middle of a wooded parkland. The rooms are very comfortable although the interior design is a bit old fashioned. Very friendly service all around and a special bonus for the breakfast scrambled eggs - just delicious!

If you like old fashion values and want an escape to beautiful isolation, then this is definitely the place to go. A huge old Chateau with magnificent rooms and huge spiral staircases overlook the bend in a huge lake, or look out into a fantastic forest. The staff could not have been more helpful, professional and always happy to provide... More
