We loved our stay here! The bed was extremely comfortable and our room was very clean. The towels and sheets were soft and high quality, which we really enjoyed. The chairs in the room were a little worn, but that didn't impact how much we enjoyed our stay. There is an enclosed porch attached to the bedroom that overlooks the river and the bathroom is spacious and also has a view of the river. There's a good restaurant on the first floor. I didn't expect the food to be so good because the location is quite isolated, but I would stay here - and eat here - again in a heartbeat.

We had a wonderful time staying at Inn by the River. The staff was so welcoming and kept the Inn very clean and well stocked. The view is amazing right on the river with outdoor seating on the front porch. The food was delicious! We will definitely be back!

Stayed for the weekend and the staff was so amazingly kind and attentive. Special call out to Becky for bringing us drinks by the fire pit - such a nice touch! We had such an enjoyable stay and could not believe how friendly everyone was. Thank you all for a fabulous weekend!

Great place to stay the staff was so kind. Live music while we were there fire over looking the river and some Jamaican BBQ. Such a memorable girls trip! Was wonderful to just enjoy nature! Definitely will be going back !

We were celebrating a wedding and numerous family members booked rooms here at the Inn. My husband and I stayed in the Carriage House with our daughter, son-in-law, and their two small children. It worked out perfectly and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. The food was excellent, and the staff was friendly, helpful, and kind to interact with. There is a beautiful view of the river from the front porch and lots of seating and tables. You can even order meals from the porch. They set up a fire pit for use every evening and one evening we ordered a S'more's Platter by the fire and it was great! We would definitely go back.

Wonderful! Staff super accommodating and very friendly. Everyone was attentive in trying to make sure we were taken care of. Had delicious dinner on site. And then staff made a fire pit just for us and my children had the best s’mores they ever had! It was quite the spread. Porch was great for reading.

We rented one of the cabins, Cabin #5. The only thing that was good was the view. It is the beginning of their season and they were less than prepared for guests. The hot water was completely sour, which rendered it useless, and we were unable to shower or wash dishes. The propane was not turned on and we they sent one of their river guides to trouble shoot. After the gas was turned on, it was leaking profusely from the stove (which is deadly). We had to turn it off when we weren’t cooking. There were a LOT of bugs in the light fixture (which is a low hanging fixture due to the ceiling levels. The refrigerator didn’t have a door handle, the window AC unit had a significant gap which invites MANY mosquitoes in during the evening hours when the lights were on, and there is a glass pan lid that has a broken non for handling (which cut my finger). The only concessions they could offer was a 50% discount on our next stay. I will NEVER return to their Inn or Cabins.…

Our first trip to Maine was much better than expected mainly because of the hospitality and food at the Inn by the River. We were planning on staying 3 nights with 2 days of snowmobiling then a couple night in Portland before heading home but were so pleased with the ability to head downstairs for delicious food, snacks or to hangout in the bar/restaurant without having to go outside that we made it a 4 night stay with another day on the sled. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I had a great stay at Inn by the River! The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating answering our questions and getting us booked for our weekend stay. We were excited that one of the pet friendly rooms was available as we had been hoping to bring our dog with us. The inn is beautiful and our room was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the fireplace in the lounge area, and the food at the on-site restaurant was delicious and had some nice gluten free options. It was easy to hop on the snowmobile trails right out of the parking lot! We would definitely recommend staying here, and hope to be back soon! 😊
