Stayed here in September 2020 & had a balcony room which was spacious & comfortable. Breakfast was also included which was good & plentiful. I think we paid c. £130 for the nights accommodation, which although on the top side was pretty good.
Gone back in imo 10 quid for a pork sarnie and chips so expecting great things. Frozen chips not hot and full of scrappy bits .very fatty chewy pork .bland gravy and not hot .bog standard bread.for the price would have been nice to get home cooked chunky chips . They say you get what you pay for .on this occassion i felt i didnt .
Very pleased to stay here in a room overlooking the sea, great to have a balcony and watch the ships go by. COVID seems well catered for, we were surprised to find that our room was serviced each day when the info provided said it wouldn't be. Breakfast served at a counter was good with plenty of hot food and a small selection of cereals and fruit. Dinners were as you would expect in a pub restaurant but the dairy free options were strictly limited, a pity. All staff were excellent.
My friend and I went to the Commissioners last Friday the food was good and they now have specials on which had a wide variety on it to choose from. Tonight we were served by Curtis he was very polite and friendly, nothing was too much trouble and this is the best service we have ever had in this restaurant - the other staff are nice but do not have as good service as Curtis
2020 and a Lovely Pub offers less a vegan options than Greggs. No tap beer options other than Guinness or bottles of Bud. My food options were narrowed down to chips or corn on the cob. Such a shame they can’t offer a simple vegan dish. No simple curry or even bun free bean burger due to how they are made. I can’t believe they have changed Beer supplier to one who offer no Vegan options such as Carlsberg, Birra Moretti. I mean it’s hard now to to find a non Vegan supplier so hats off there. Please consider and be inclusive of different health and dietary requirements. You’ll get more business overall.
