Very peaceful location on shore of Loch Druidibeg, superb for fishing walking bird watching. The host is an excellent cook and a great conversationalist with advice and help on what to do on South Uist. A very enjoyable and entertaining experience.

Once again a great stay at this excellent B&B. A week of great company and fishing ending with a memorable Salmon. Good food, particularly the set up for the day breakfasts, are a feature of Kinloch, superbly hosted by Wegg Kimbel.

This was my second stay at Kinloch and this visit confirmed the perceptions I'd taken away from my first. If you want some truly exceptional brown trout fishing (courtesy of gillie Ian Kennedy), very comfortable fishing lodge-style accommodation and excellent food then I can thoroughly recommend Kinloch as a place to stay. Wegg remains a unique host and his reputation...

All our needs were expertly anticipated. Very good food, very clean and tidy. A tight ship. House set in a rare oasis of trees on the banks of the lough. Ideal location from which to explore South Uist.

We spent three nights in a huge upstairs double room with a luxurious bathroom in this ultra-comfortable homely B&B in a splendid location with marvellous views. Wegg looked after us very well and regaled us with his anecdotes and opinions on just about everything. The food was relatively simple and sometimes repetitive (sausages for breakfast and dinner, Co-op trifle two...

If you read the other reviews of Kinloch and its host, you'll see that Wegg provides a different kind of B&B compared to run-of-the-mill places. There are many reasons for this, but I'll give you three. First, the bedrooms and common areas are very clean, tidy and homely. Second, the food created and served by your host is of the...

Wegg provides great excellently -cooked meals. If you are a fisherman Kinloch is ideal but all visitors are catered...

Kinloch is more than just a synonym for perfect and warm hospitality. Wegg, the driving force in charge of Kinloch, is simultaneously an accomplished host, an unmatched story teller, an excellent cook preparing the best what South Uist and his personal vegetable garden have to offer, but also a well-informed tourist guide suggesting visits and excursions commensurate with the age...

My second visit to Wegg's very comfortable and perfectly run home in an idyllic setting on the edge of Loch Druidibeg ( a National Nature reserve ). Its a guest house where one is fed like a King ( or Queen ) and the perfect place to stay if visiting South Uist . On arrival one is greeted by Maxi,...

Never been to The Western Isles before but it is a must! Kinloch was our home for a couple of days and we were looked after admirably. An excellent loch at the bottom of the garden teeming with brownies against the backdrop of a magnificent hill.We were fortunate to see 3 stags come within 150 yards of the house and...
