We stayed on this hotel just for a night, but our whole impression is you get much more than what you pay for. We paid 44euros for a double room plus 2.50euros/person for the breakfast. Very friendly, serviceoriented and informative receptionists. The rooms are spacious and clean and the entire hotel seems neat or well cared for. It is located on...

Hotel Estrella del Alemar was our shining beacon of hope in what had been a very long day of walking El Camino del Norte. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and spoke much better English than many we had experienced in northern Spain. The room was clean and quiet, with a small but quality flat screen TV. Beds were...

What a great little hotel to finish a holiday on. Just down the road is a fantastic little bar Tasca de la Kiskilla. Cheap beer and food it's were the locals go to eat and drink. Not very far from the main Loredo beach which is excellent for swimming and surfing. They only do breakfasts but loads of places in...

Have stayed here many times whilst surfing. Hotel is always clean and tidy. The staff have made myself and my friends always welcome. If you need a good base to either surf or tour this undiscovered area of Spain this is a great place to start.

We stayed one Week in the Estrella del Alemar, a family-run hotel in Laredo (not LOredo) Spain. The hotel interior is overall very nice in polished granite and marble, and kept very clean as everyone else has said but some of the fine (yet essential touches) are overlooked, leading to a less than perfect experience. 1) The bed. Oh my...

This hotel was run in a very personal and professional way. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We missed breakfast once and Alessandro personally made us a breakfast of tea and croissants and brought them to our room, and didn't even charge us any extra for it! Our room was very big and brand new, beds were comfy...

We have been to region a couple of times before but this is the first time we stayed here. It is a lovely hotel. The staff are friendly and the rooms are comfortable and squeaky clean! Our room looked out onto fields and in the distance, mountains - it was very quiet. There is a bar and a TV (seemed...

Excellent hotel built 3 years ago, spotlessly clean, lovely rooms and nice quiet location. The breakfast is basic, fruit juice tea/coffee toast and fruit. Couldn't fault the hotel, the owner/barman/receptionist is Alessandro is a lovely man who goes out of his way to be helpful. It is a very quiet area with a couple of bars and bistros about 100mtrs...
