My wife and I stayed for one night on our way to Mandawa. This modernised and refurbished Haveli really gives you an insight into how the Indian Royalty lived. Pre and Post dinner entertainment was superb and dinner itself consisted of a nice buffet in a fantastic dining room setting. The area around the hotel does not lead to think...

Better known as the venue for the Magnetic Fields music festival, Alsisar Mahal was a delightful and restful stop. Perfect place to unwind at, while skirting through the dusty towns of Shekhawati. The room was massive and well furnished with a great view of the pool. Its also well equipped with an air-conditioner, electric kettle etc. The dining area has...

As I had already traveled to other parts of Shekhawati, I chose Alsisar assuming that it would be similar. Though its not. The village is very small and there is not much tourism making the place much more attractive to travelers like myself. The Alsisar Mahal is the best place to stay and is definitely worth it. The rooms are...

Dear Guest, It was a pleasure to have you stay with us. We have tried to recreate the era of royal Rajasthan by carefully restoring every part of Alsisar Mahal from the paintings to the furniture to provide guests with a truly authentic experience and we are so glad we succeeded to some extent. It is always wonderful to hear...

In the middle of nowhere this is such a wonderful surprise. The room I had did not match up to outside of the room. Hot water in very short supply for all of our group. The food is never going to win any plaudits, the service was adequate but the charm and beauty of this venue more than made up...

This is a beautiful Heritage Hotel but after a full day travelling to it and another full day travelling back the following day, I don't think I fully appreciated it. We were on an organised tour of Northern India. It is a stunning hotel. The bedroom we had was absolutely massive with a four posted bed, however I hate four...

Lucky enough having stayed in this lovely old hotel on a number of occasions. It is a converted palace with huge suites, a fabulous place to stay and has a real wow factor. The ambience lovely, the staff friendly, helpful in fact they can't do enough for you!

Dear Guest, Thank you so much for appreciating our heritage property . Alsisar Mahal is the oldest of our properties and has undergone careful restoration , a process that took six years since most of the palace was destroyed in battle centuries ago . We have tried our very best to maintain the palace's original charm and aesthetic and we...

This Heritage Hotel is located in the Heritage town of Alsisar which was located on the Spice Route. There are many derelict palaces in the town which is very poor and very dirty. We had to walk through the town to the hotel from the coach. The food was ok but the service was very poor. On the night we...

The building was beautiful and we had a stunning room - it spread the entire length of one side of the hotel, BUT the food was not brilliant (although the pasta cooked for me was very good) and we found the service to be perfunctory at best. I felt incredibly uncomfortable by the looks and actions of some of the...

Had an overnight stay at Alsisar Mahal. It is an amazing 51 room Palace property built in the 1700's. Nice large suites, well appointed and has a quaint feel about it. The dining room is awesome with the painted ceilings and frescos. The rooftop restaurant is fantastic, food is great. What was the highlight was the desert safari and Shyam...

This is a heritage hotel in what was once a palace on the spice route. Rooms vary greatly so ask for what you want, we had an enormous suite. Food was good, buffet dinner and breakfast. Drinks reasonably priced but the house red wine was a bit rough. Be careful ordering lunch we had toasted sandwiches which were great but...
