Walk to Slopes from where you can ski to BC is less than 5 minutes. Gondola is constant from there. Of course you miss the chocolate chip cookies by doing that. To get to BC town the shuttle is every 10 mins or so and is free.
Valet at the hotel is free (tips obviously appreciated).
To get to Vail there is a shuttle every 15 to 30 minutes depending on time of day. There is a small fee, $7 from memory, though as an over 65 it is $1.
Worth mentioning is that there is a ski equipment discount outlet right by the bus stop. Bought several items at 50 to 70% off.
