Detailed Reviews
Stayed early January during COVID in a studio unit with full kitchen. The property was well maintained and clean even though it is an older property. Important thing is that everything worked, and there were no hiccups. The only minus was the walls are pretty thin, but I'm a heavy sleeper so it wasn't a bother, and the property and the occupants were settled by 11pm. The ski shuttle is less than a minute walk away, and Avon Recreation Center is very close, too -- with an indoor pool/water slide and very decent workout facilities (not included in Falcon Point rate...just adding this info). I used an Exchange Week from Interval, and it was well worth it!

My family & I stayed at the Falcon Point for a week in Feb. 2004 and are going back in Feb 2005. We were treated very warmly by the staff at this resort. They went out of their way to make us welcome. The accomodations were tops! The resort has it all. The rooms were large( 1 Bedroom sleeps 4 easy) Falcon Point has everything you would need to stay for a week or longer. 2 hot tubs, swimming and a work out room. Game room and alot more .I would recommed Falcon Point to anyone who is looking into buying a timeshare in this area. The town of Avon and Beaver Creek ski areas are beautiful !!. Better skiing then Vail.

This place was absolutely horrible! My boyfriend and I took a week vacation to this resort since we like to go snowboarding. We checked in late around 9:30pm and walked through the door and the hotel was freezing! I walked over to the window and it was left open, I tried to close it but the window crank was broken (unable to fully close). I told my boyfriend when he came up from bringing our luggage so we tried to notify someone but they closed at 10pm. We had to close the curtains and pile pillows against them to stop to much cold air from getting in through the night. The next morning we notified the lady at the front desk while we were leaving to get some breakfast so she sent the maintenance guy to look at it. When we got back to our room the window was fixed and later got a message stating we were getting charged 90 dollars for the crank and 10 for installation. (basically the exact 100 dollars that was held on my account when we checked in). My boyfriend then went downstairs to talk to the front desk manager and maintenance who stated they check the rooms every Friday and it wasn't like that when they checked it. I notified them when we checked in the room was cold and the window wouldn't shut. He said the room would be way to cold over the night and we said exactly we turned the heater on all night. He said well if my boyfriends not lying then the cleaning lady is lying and will be FIRED. That made us feel extremely awkward the whole time because when the manager came to our room to talk about it she played the blame game and said she would look into it but then come to find out nothing was done and WE WERE CHARGED after check out when we arrived back home!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!! THE WHOLE SITUATION WAS HORRIBLEY MISHANDLED AND PUT A DAMPER ON OUR EXPENSIVE VACATION!!!!!

Hello Ashley, We want to let you know that in response to your complaints you were issued a credit, with our system, the processing takes some time to post back into your credit card account. I had the worst customer service experience of my life (in any industry) at Falcon Point. It is explained below and it is complicated. If you don't want to read it all, just take away these facts: Falcon Point took advantage of a mistake I made and charged me over $400 for it, even though they were not damaged in any way. They simply saw an opportunity to take advantage of me and they took it. It was shamelessly dishonest and they'd probably do it to you too. In my opinion, they DO NOT deserve your business.
I intended to book a large condo for Dec 30 and 31 but accidentally booked it for Dec 31 and Jan 1. I made my reservation only three days before our intended check-in and used Expedia.com. I discovered my error on Dec 30, when, arriving at night in a snow storm, I attempted to check-in at Falcon Point. The desk clerk (Annette, very kind and helpful) told me that our condo was still available for Dec. 30 and that we could rent it for the additional night and then attempt to straighten out the error with Expedia in the morning. So that is what we did. Expedia agreed to change the reservation to conform with our intentions but informed me that they would pass on to me any fees imposed by Falcon Point for the cancellation. I assumed that Falcon Point would agree to waive any fees, since the place was otherwise vacant during the weekend in question and because we were staying for two nights and willing to pay for two nights (in other words, Falcon Point was not damaged in any way by the mistake). I was wrong.
"Jane," from Falcon Point's Denver-based management organization refused to waive the fee. She explained to me that, in Falcon Point's opinion, the matter was "not about fairness." In other words, she knew that she had me on the hook (with my credit card already authorized for an additional night), and that it would be too costly for me to sue them over the relatively small amount in question. So she ignored what she knew and admitted was the only fair outcome and instead took complete advantage of my innocent mistake, to the tune of $400. Truly despicable.
Now this is my only recourse.
So don't stay there and don't buy their time shares. They are cheap, selfish, and uncaring (except for Annette at the front desk). If you own a unit in Falcon Point, you should blame Jane from Denver for this review. In fact, I told her to call the owner of our rented unit because I was confident that he/she would share my opinion. Of course, Jane refused.

Stayed last July 4th week and the resort is excellent.
Spectacular fireworks over the lake and 70 degree crystal clear days and 40 degree nights. One bedroom unit was in exceptional condition with all new furniture, carpet and appliances. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and the resort is very convenient to both Beaver Creek (5 minutes) and Vail (10 to 15 minutes). The pool and 2 spas are very nice and private. There is outside parking and an underground parking. There was an elevator to take us to our unit on the 5th floor. The unit had beautiful views of the mountains which still had some snow on them. The resort is on Nottingham Lake which has a nice hiking trail around it and the 4th of July fireworks in Avon were right out the backdoor over the lake. It was one of the best fireorks displays we ever attended anywhere.

I am writing this to inform everyone of our visit to Falcon Point Resort. We had a week given to us by some friends and had a great ski week. The week was great and the facilities were adequate.
Our concerns stem from an event that happened the last day of our stay. After a day of skiing, our iPad was missing from our room. The resort was helpful at first, but quickly became defensive. We contacted them multiple times after our stay and were given the run-around for 5 months before our efforts were thwarted. The police report concluded that maids did not steal the iPad, but someone else who gained access to the room throughout the day.
The resort would not compensate us for the iPad and took no responsibility for the incident. While it is a nice place to stay, please consider your safety and the safety of your belongings. People can and are gaining access to rooms. This is alarming on multiple levels. Stay at your own risk.

We stayed here for a long weekend and were very pleased with the property. The room was clean and looked to be recently updated. The 1 BR had plenty of space and seating for a group of adults. The front desk staff was extremely friendly, always making sure to say hi as we passed through the lobby. We didn't use the amenities since it was a short stay and our focus was on skiing at BC, but they looked to have all the essentials.
The location was good, there was a shuttle stop just a few minutes away and the property backs up to a park that hosts events pretty regularly. It's a little farther from the shops/restaurants than other properties, but still convenient enough. I would gladly return on a future trip.

We arrived 2 hours before check in time on Friday and NO PROBLEM they checked us in and got our stay going! W had a 1 BR and living area which was great! Granite counters, stainless appliances...all the amenities of home! Nice comfy king size bed with a nice mountain view! We were on the third floor 305 so ask for it if you can when you book your stay! I had called in June to ask to have a mountain view NOT a parking lot view and my request seemed to be answered. Nice pool and whirlpool, nice continental breakfast the first day. Staff was VERY helpful and nice personalities to make your vacation excellent! When we checked out a day early due to our flight the desk staff helped me print my boarding passes as I struggled a bit with the computer. He was very helpful and did not make me feel like it was "me"...which it was! lol This was an exchange for my daughter's timeshare and was a an A+ in our book!

We traded in a timeshare week for Falcon Point for the last weekend of ski season. The lobby was quaint, staff all very friendly and the location was great! We were only concerned for a few seconds, as the hallways leading to the room were a little dated, but once in the room, it a whole different story! 2Bed 2 Bath unit (213) had a full kitchen, great views and a wood burning fireplace....which I hear is rare in the area, as the newer properties aren't allowed to have them. You are supplied with some wood and a fire starter, and once that is gone, you can have them deliver wood to your room for (I think) $1 a log. The bedrooms aren't adjacent to the common hallway, so we never heard anyone out there and the beds were super comfy which made for some great sleeping conditions. Close to Beaver Creek ski area and only a few more minutes drive to Vail. Nearby walking distance there are bars, restaurants, a liquor store, ski rentals, etc. My one word of caution on this sleepy little town, is Start Early! We are from Vegas, so taking a nap and leaving the house at 9pm on a friday night is the norm. haha, not in Avon! Even though some of the bars were still open, everyone stopped serving food by 9. We did happen upon Bob's Place & Pazzo's Pizza which served food a little later, but still not quite what we were looking for. We did see a restaurant delivery magazine, but never used it, as after the first night, we adjusted and made it out to dinner at a "reasonable" hour. Anyway, there are bell carts available for use and the full kitchen, so next time we'll probably stop and stock up on groceries.
All in all, I would stay here again, it was a lovely unit and the staff was great!

I am writing this review to inform anyone traveling to Falcon Point of the floorplan differences between rooms so that you can request the type of room that you are expecting when you make the initial reservation.
We stayed at Falcon Point the weekend of July 27 through 29, 2012 with some friends. We reserved 2 one bedroom units, rooms 103 and 204.
Without seeing either room, we decided that our friends would take room 103 and we would stay in room 204. Being on the first floor, we went into their room first. It was big and beautiful with a big kitchen, fireplace, 2 flat screen TV's, a deck, etc.
Then we went to our room, 204, and we were shocked. It was a completely different room. It was half the size, small kitchen, 1 flat screen in the living room and one small CRT screen in the bedroom, no balcony, etc. (Falcon Point, if you're listening, please at least move the bedroom TV cabinet to a position in front of the bed where it can be used!) The room was still very nice, but it was not even close to the quality of room 103.
The resort was completely full so there was no possibility of moving to a different room.
Also, be aware that there is no air conditioning in this resort. It's in the mountains so it's not that big of a deal most of the time. We brought a small desk fan with us and left it running at night to bring in the cool mountain air, and we were comfortable.
The WiFi signal was rock solid in both rooms and really fast (it tested at 10mbps down and 3 mbps up! Pretty good!).
Amazing refrigerator! Now my wife wants one too. Sigh...
I would wholeheartedly recommend this resort. It is a very nice place and the location is absolutely wonderful. Glenwood Springs and their fantastic natural spring pool is only about 45 minutes west, Vail is 10 minutes east and the entire area looks like a screensaver!
We enjoyed ourselves immensely!
