Anybody who wishes to stay out of the centre and looking for a home away from home should visit. Out host Chelo (Mexican Mum) was adorable and really does want her home to be yours. The room (deluxe double) was complete with everything that we needed for a short stay. This included bikes, head torches, hi-vis vests, beach towels and...

Posada Los Mapaches is a charming and well kept little hostel very close to Tulum’s archeological site. Bikes and a delicious breakfast are included in the price, it’s a fantastic deal! Chelo, the owner is lovely and caring and was very helpful providing recommendations on possible activities in the area and other advice. It’s obvious that she cares deeply about...

In our month of backpacking in Mexico this was one of our best stays. It is really near to the ruines and the beach. You get a bike so it is easy to go anywhere! The cabanas were lovely, the breaksfast homemade and delicious and the host chelo is very nice and helpfull.

Chelo the owner is an amazing woman. Her breakfasts are first class. She is very informative about the hostel, the location and how to get around. She lends you bikes and snorkelling gear. We stayed here for a week, found the cycles easy into town, to the beach, even further afield to the cenotes. Our room was clean, the bathrooms...

From outside you will never except a lovely place like this. Everything is basic, but made with love. The owner Chelo and her Family care very good of you! First it seems a bit strange in fact she uses disinfection spray for your bags against Moskitos and tell you a lot of rules. But in the end everything makes sense....

We had a lovely room in the trees, with a shared outside bathroom (very clean). You can enjoy the hammocks and have siestas in a Mexican way :) The location is perfect...

I wasn't in Tulum for very long simply because my plans didn't allow it. However, after staying here, I wish I could have extended my stay. I stayed in one of the tree houses (second floor) and it was clean and organized. Chelo, the owner, is sweet and hospitable. She puts a lot of heart in her work and cares...

The rooms and bathrooms were very clean. The lady who runs this hostel is very sweet and very caring. Free bikes are provided with your room and she rents out snorkels at a discounted rate. Her homemade breakfast is amazing. A great value. The hostel is by the road so passing cars can be a bit loud but overall a...
