Getting straight to the point, La Luna exceeded all expectations, and our expectations were high! Upon arrival, we were greeted by Miguel. He escorted us to our villa, consisting of four bedrooms, five bathrooms and a private pool. After being delighted by the rustic charm and

My partner and I stayed here again, in November for four nights. We are getting married here in February, so we wanted to come back and discuss the final details. The hotel is a little more than half way up the main stretch of the beach road from the ruins. Although there are

Dear Louise, As always we enjoyed having you and Steve around at La Luna, thank you for visiting us again and for the kind review that you wrote. I have to say it was a bit of a juggle this time around with the rooms, but I am glad to hear that everything worked out in the end. We are always trying to accommodate guests in each way possible to make their stay unforgettable with us and we are overjoyed that these efforts seem to result in our intentions. Indeed we boast mainly fish dishes in our restaurant as we like to use fresh local products, but as you said we can cook up something for everybody's taste. Speaking for all of us at La Luna, we can not wait till your wedding in February it is going to be beautiful.Thank you for choosing us as your home in Mexico, and see you soon! Sincere Regards, Dexter Bartels - General Manager

We had a really lovely laid back break of sea sand and sun at Cabanas La Luna in Tulum, Mexico. La Luna is a lovely little oasis of charm and authenticity in what has become quite a commercialised strip along the beach at Tulum. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, with a

Dear Aurelia, I am happy to hear you had such a wonderful time celebrating your 40th birthday with all your favorite ladies, and congratulations! I regret not being there to meet you all, as I was spending some time visiting my family in my home country. Thank you for the kind words about our staff and our cabanas! It is unfortunate however that you experienced our breakfast in such way as I feel how you depict it to be in your review is not entirely accurate. It has nothing to do being from a different entity, it is simply as you said that the breakfast that is included is the continental breakfast. This is communicated clearly and multiple times in our correspondence when you make a reservation at Cabanas La Luna. Only because we understand that some people want some variation in their morning meal during longer stays, we added the option last year that when you want to choose another item from the menu you can refrain from taking the continental and use its 120 pesos cost as a discount to any other item. The items on the menu range from 120-160 pesos, meaning if we translate into USD that you either pay nothing, 1, or 2 USD extra for your breakfast. This is nothing more or less than what we promised at your time of booking, so yes if you want to take extra items of the menu on top of the continental or outside of the range of the credit, you will have to pay the additional charge for them. What you requested with us is that you were able to use this credit with we also specify is per day for each individual, for other people in your group and on different days. Even though this is outside of what we normally, because you felt so strongly about this we proceeded to give your group of 10 to have a total credit of 1200 pesos collectively, to be used how pleased. I do not believe there is any hotel in the world where because you skipped breakfast one day you will be able to order two breakfasts the next day! I just wanted to clear this up for future guests, who might read this! Hopefully we will be able to meet in the future with the misunderstanding cleared up for both of us! Sincere Regards, Dexter Bartels General Manager

Dear Michelle, Wow, you must be the first guest that leaves a personal message for the staff when leaving a review with us, I happily thank you from everybody working at La Luna for these kind words! Myself I am extremely glad that even though we did not had the opportunity to meet each other, due to being away for a family visit in my home country, my incredible staff was able to deliver such an amazing experience for you! It is so nice to have guests who appreciate every little detail that we put effort in! Now being part of the La Luna family, you will of course always be welcome to return to this little place of paradise, and hopefully then we will be able to meet! Sincere Regards, Dexter Bartels General Manager
