Easy walk from the ADO bus station. Located just one block off the main strip in downtown Tulum, toward the further end of town. I was fine walking that one quiet block with my boyfriend at night, but if you're by yourself or not a comfortable traveler, you might taxi instead. Room was clean and comfortable, ours was spacious too....

I found this place through a guide book's online page. It sounded good. But the review was a little bid misleading about the location of this place. This place in town and location is if you wanna stay in town for a longer stay not on beach is very good. The rooms are large and clean . However there is...

We stayed at the Mariposa for a month while we did am intensive Spanish course at the Meztli school round the corner. The room was perfect and more than large enough for our needs. We had two huge double beds (so we used one as a couch) and the mini kitchen saved us a fortune on meals. The owners and...

I had the good fortune of finding this place in June of 2016. My husband and I work remotely and loved Hotel Mariposa's clean guest rooms, full kitchenettes and lovely terrazas. The internet connection is good, and also available in the palapa area at the lobby. The owners and managers are all great. It is in a perfect location in...

A very hard place to find. We booked a room with a queen and king size bed. We got a queen and double bed. Didn't argue because it was hard communicating and we didn't need the other bed as we had thought. The place was clean but only one face rag in the bathroom and no others available when asked....

We ended up in this place while looking for our initially booked private accommodation. The owner of the hotel, a lovely lady was doing everything she could to help us find our accommodation which was supposed to be in the vicinity. Stood up and Left desperate, we stayed in her hotel instead. There was a lovely breakfast of eggs, cake,...

We were fortunate to find La Mariposa on such short notice. We had already spent five nights in Tulum at another delightful hotel but wanted to extend our stay and the place we were at was already booked, due to it being high season during the holidays. Thankfully, we found availability at Mariposa and loved it. The hotel room was...

We stayed at la mariposa 3 nights in Tulum. The room was lovely, nicely decorated wall murals with air conditioning, nice beds a hammock outside, clean bathroom fully stocked, partial kitchen and a small TV. Our room was the blue one, they are colour themed. The staff was nice and breakfast decent. The location is an easy walk from the...
