When the hotel was renovated a few years ago an effort was obviously made to accommodate people with disabilities. Unfortunately it still falls below International standards but could be improved if the Corporate owners could be persuaded to.

A modern hotel in large beautiful grounds. A long walk between facilities and they need to refurbish and better maintain some ot the areas. The food is excellent for the price but the rooms are looking a little tired. Lots of in resort entertainment but...More

The ride from the airport is around 90 minutes. The hotel don't have any kind of shuttle service but there is a taxi rank outside the hotel across the road and it's bout 200 pesos into Tulum which takes about 15 minutes. The local bus service which is a mini van is 2 USD each into Tulum not 25 pesos (that's absurd) and you can hail the mini van anywhere on the road and they will stop. If you wait for the bus outside the hotel you will probably be approached by a taxi driver from the rank who will offer to take you for whatever you will pay the bus driver, so instead of paying 4 USD total on the bus we jumped in a cab and gave him the money instead - no brainer!!
We found the local souvenir shops in Tulum SUPER expensive - more pricey than the airport so beware. We saw traditional porcelain skulls for 500 pesos but got the exact same thing in Mexico City for 200 pesos.
Tulum is generally quite an expensive tourist trap - beware when buying draft beer at bars, always ask the price first, I ordered 3 small beers and was shocked when the bill came - they were 150 pesos each.
