Pros - Great looking hotel - The cleaning and wait staff are nice. Cons - Noisy. Noisy. Noisy. I was up till 3AM one night due to neighboring parties partying too loud. I called the front desk at 1:30AM, and they were responsive and understanding but nothing can change this. It ruined my whole day. And it happened again another night. It was so bad that I decided to check out two days early. - They have fixed prices taxis to town and other locations. They are marked up significantly. How do I know? Well I can take the same taxi from town to the hotel in the reverse direction and it'll be half as much. Imagine paying $20+ to go <8 miles. - Some of the front desk and reservation staff are not pleasant to deal with. - The food is mediocre. Not bad, but nothing that is going to wow you. Even at their nicest restaurants. - The room's bathtub was a bit dirty. I found a few hairs there when I first arrived. Not interested in taking a bath in that jacuzzi type bathtub even if there is an inkling of dirt. - Noisy. Again. It's during the day and night if you're caught with the wrong party and it doesn't seem like Dreams has much influence to do much about it. This really bothered me.

I can go on in on about the Resort but, let's start off with the food. I have to say out of all of all inclusive resorts we have visited by far Dreams had the best food and customer service even the rooms service was on point. All of the staff were nice and very attentive and spoke very good English. I would suggest that you must have dinner on the beach what a experience they also gave us private photoshoot on the beach as we waited on our food and option of premium bottle service at dinner which we were able to take back to our swim out Suite afterwards. The beach was a little rocky but overall Dreams @ Tulum is the spot especially for social distancing. They also took major precautions to keep everyone safe during this Pandemic. Great Job

I knew it was going to speak volumes about my stay when i arrived at 2pm and sat there for 15 minutes with no one coming to help me or give a welcome drink. And, it wasn't busy and there were plenty of workers around. My reservation included a complimentary temezcal ceremony and $200 resort coupons. I arrive at room and it was so musty. Guy came in and sprayed air freshener in vent. It doesn't fix the mold smell all Week, and mold in shower. The fridge was iced over. Maintenance defrosted it in bath tub. Had to get it serviced a second time. Each time the workers worked on fridge they left puddles of water on the floor. They didn't even clean up their mess. I'm Preferred Club which includes upgraded mini bar. I never received so I called them and their upgrade means 4 tiny airline mini single servings of liquor. I only received it once..never again during stay. The bad information at concierge and vip services is horrible. They said to book tenezcal you go to spa. I walked to spa and they said you book on beach. I get to beach and she says ceremony isn't included. I showed her paperwork. I went to head of concierge to show reservation. She said despite my reservation saying it's included it's not included. I tried to book a spa body treatment using a $40 coupon but the spa nor the head of concierge said yes. Despite their paperwork saying..coupon can be used for 50-minute massage, facial Or body treatment. The body treatment is 25 minutes and they said service needs to be 50 minutes or more. Fix your paperwork then because it doesn't say that!!! The customer is never right at Dreams. Service.. it's not what I've experienced at other all inclusive. Food- the steak at the French restaurant is good. The ceviche at seaside grill is good. I ordered room service the night before for breakfast. Each day eggs, bacon and omelet were cold. But cold food is better than waiting a long time at a restaurant. Disappointing stay and it's my first stay at an Amstar Resort. Not booking at their places again.
