We just left Dreams Tulum. We had a beautiful room 3106 Swim out room. As far as the resort it is beautiful property and can’t complain about the appearance. The check in was fairly easy upon our arrival at 4 pm. We had three couples and only 1 room was available. The resort just opened on July 1 and are only allowed 30% occupancy. But unfortunately they are understaffed at the time and ask you to be patient. For example we went to lunch and the wait for our food wasn’t terrible maybe 30 minutes. Dinner we went to Portifinos and waited about 30 min to sit the 6 of us and food took about an hour to come. Breakfast the next morning took about a hour and a half to get to our table. We ordered breakfast and dinner thru room service and both times it took about 1.5 hours to be delivered. So
Keep in mind with them being understaffed you have to wait a long time for food. The room was clean and spacious only complaint is the AC will only go to about 21.5/ 71 ish. And it was not cool enough for us. The employees are using gloves and mask at all times and they are constantly cleaning Checkout was easy. We would definitely go back but not until the resort is fully staffed again.

Absolutely the most beautiful all inclusive resort I have ever been to! I scouted this place originally for my wedding and was blown away by the service. After staying I can not recommend this location enough for any event. Even the entire beach is cleaned from seaweed compared to other popular beach resorts.

I held a wedding in February 2020 for 77 people. My wedding planner was Nayeli Calixto and she was AMAZING!! This location is a wedding machine but Nayeli made me feel like our wedding was the only wedding that weekend and made our dream wedding a reality! She was so attentive to detail, organized and informative throughout the process of planning. If you are a bride that needs more help and options when planning a wedding this is the location! The resort did all set up for the wedding, music, flowers, makeup, hair, photographer, videographer, rehearsal, food - literally every detail was managed by the hotel and wedding planner! The only items I brought for the wedding were table toppers, party favors, cake topper and my dress!

Overall the hotel was beyond amazing in accommodating our guests. All guests loved the activities, food, drinks and service. Our guests all ranged in age and it had something for everyone. The resort is also a 10-15min ride from the clubs/ resorts that make Tulum so popular. The only hiccups with our experience was the room as our lock stopped working for the door at one point and our TV never worked. The service to fix this was extremely helpful and you shouldn't let the little things ruin your trip because we loved every second at this resort!

We stayed in room 5109 which was a ground floor beach view room. It was a large room with a walk in shower, a jacuzzi bath and a very large , comfortable bed. It had two chairs, a table, large safe and mini bar.
The room was serviced every day and the shower gel , shampoo and body lotion filled up regularly.
it was far enough away from the pool to not be inconvenienced by any noise.
All of the staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful.
The hotel has lovely grounds and the beach has fine golden sand and plenty of sun loungers with a reef just off shore so there is limited space for swimming. The pelicans were a delight to watch as were the iguanas. The hotel is isolated and there is no where to walk to apart from the grounds.
The food was not as spicy as we had expected but overall there was plenty of choice and of a high standard.
We were not troubled at all by mosquitoes, flies nor tummy bugs.
The entertainment was low key, outside and some acts were excellent,
We had a lovely holiday and returned home feeling well rested and relaxed

We visited Tulum Dreams for a Destination birthday for my daughter-in-law's 50th Birtrhday. There were 12 of us at any given time. The resort rooms and grounds are great. The majority of the staff says Hello as you navigate the resort. The food was typical all inclusive fair, just OK. We were all very disappointed with the food at the Hibachi restaurant. All the restaurants took a long time to serve us because of the size of our group. They have scheduled activities throughout the day, but, they were kind of rigid with their schedule. I love playing water volleyball, and they usually had it scheduled every day. One day it was scheduled for 12:45pm, and it actually started at 12:40pm, but they ended it at 1:05pm. So, we only played for 25 minutes, even though there were 20 people playing and being entertained with several people watching. We asked if we could continue playing, but they told us they had other activities scheduled, but after they took down the water volleyball net, there was no activity in the pool. So, they could have let us continue to play water volleyball.

I do want to give a shout out to Claudia in the restaurants, Alfonso in the Lobby bar making my White Russians, Graciela bringing mud slides by the pool, and Leo, Samantha, Victor, and Ricky on the Entertainment Teams. The staff on the entire resort were very friendly.

They have Limited Premium Liquors, but you have to request it, and they were only availible at certain bars.

The beach was nice, but there are a lot of rocks. Bring water socks. They constantly work at removing the seaweed. The pool areas are nice, and you can usually get chairs by the pool and Beach. It's a nice resort, but since it is more family oriented, it's not as nice for us as the Adults Only Secrets. We came to Dreams because our grand daughter is under 18 years old.

When we did have an issue with towels or anything else regarding the room, they responded very quickly.

Bathrooms were very clean.

We visited Dreams the first week of January. It was almost a perfect trip. The resort itself is beautiful, and it's nice that it's next to the national park so you can often walk on the beach without passing another person especially early in the morning. The staff were all absolutely fantastic- super friendly and helpful. The entertainment was great- mostly low key with just enough fun things (we loved the fire show!) and plenty for kids to do too. But not so over the top that you feel like you're on spring break in Cancun- it was mostly quiet evening music or a show and a few pool games. Food was variable but mostly good, and I love the no reservations policy for dinner.
The beach and pool are nice, but this was the only negative part of our trip. The chair hogs are ridiculous and the resort doesn't do much about it. Every day about 2/3 of the beach and pool chairs had towels on them by 7 AM, and if you waited til 9 AM or so there was literally nothing left. Which would be fine if people were using them, but most of the time those towels just sat there on empty chairs all day. So we ended up sitting in the sand or on the pool deck. It would be better if they had an attendant handing out the towels and supervising the chairs somehow.

We were at Dreams Tulum for our son's wedding. The wedding, cocktail hour, and reception were absolutely outstanding. This resort makes a destination wedding so easy, and everything was perfect. I couldn't recommend it more highly for a wedding. The beaches and pools are absolutely lovely and very well kept, and the grounds and gardens are beautiful! Housekeeping service for our room was a bit inconsistent, and one day they didn't come at all, even though we didn't have our 'do not disturb" on. Some days they'd forget to leave towels even if we put our used ones on the floor. But, when I called they were pretty quick to come and bring what we needed. Others in our group got turn-down service at night, but we didn't get it at all, and we were in a "preferred guest" room! The food at the resort is good, and plentiful, but not great. The exception to that was the wedding reception. The food was very good and the presentation was lovely. The staff is very friendly and helpful throughout the resort. And, the spa is amazing! I had a fantastic facial there. Our guest building had a power outage during our stay and we were without electricity or water in our room for several hours. I know things like this can happen anywhere, but I did feel like it took a bit too long to reestablish power. Overall, though, I'd go there again. The price is reasonable for a nice experience and the beauty of the resort and beaches is exceptional.

Please ignore those nasty feedbacks below!!!
Those People should not travel during these times.
Just returned from Dreams Tulum (July 3-10)!
Had a fantastic time, as always, with 2 little kids.
Hotel opened up on July 1st during this horrific pandemics, and we did understand some malfunctions.
Overall we had to close our eyes on some things in order to have a relaxing time .
I don’t know what those negative feedback are about , but sanitizers were in every possible and impossible places, our rooms were cleaned 🧹 in timely manner, only because we called and asked for it understanding the shortage on employees.
All staff members were wearing protective masks and Plastic shields 24/7 at the beach, swimming pool, restaurants, entertainment staff!
Kids Club “ Explorer” was just outstanding with a new Water Arcade!!!!! Our kids just loved being there doing all crafts & playing in water!
If you are open minded and understand what’s happening around the world , you will NOT regret going to the Dreams Tulum!!!

This is a gorgeous resort with a little old fashioned Mexican charm to give it character. The public areas were beautiful with lovely wood flooring, amazing wicker furniture, etc. And the grounds were stunning. Lovely plantings, carefully maintained. All of the staff are so friendly and welcoming, but special kudos to the staff at El Patio! We travel frequently to Mexico yet this was some of the best Mexican food we’ve ever had. We were surprised that management was not coaching staff on how to deal with the Corona virus. Staff were not proactively encouraging guests to use hand sanitizer before entering the restaurants. In fact, one night we asked and the host had to search around to find it.Also staff should be dissuaded from shaking hands. Although a charming part of the culture, not a great idea in this environment. Our room was not quite as clean as it might have been. The woodwork around the mirror and the bathroom door, inside and out, needed a good washing. We really enjoyed the entertainment, at least what we were able to attend. The breakdance show was excellent! And we loved virtually all the entertainment around the Sugar Reef Bar: early evening duets, rock bands, salsa bands, etc, great entertainment. This resort has many wonderful people but one staff member in particular who was spectacular: the bartender, Limberth. Not only does he take great pride and pleasure in what he does, but he has passion for the art of the cocktail! Overall a very good experience.

Checkin was one of the fastest we’ve ever had – maybe 10 min tops. Covid Safety and sanitary protocols were observed. During the day we often – 2-3 times witnessed the staff applying sanitizer to every chair that had been used and the vacant ones. Hand Sanitzer was at every restaurant and bar and encouraged to be used. Temperatures were take at each restaurant as you entered, and masks were required as you moved to your table, and as you left.
Room ours was a Junior suite on the top floor building 15– tremendous view of the ocean looking south. The room had everything we needed. The deck (being on the top floor was a bit warm with afternoon sun, and no shade) was enough space to relax and still grab some fresh air in the evening, Ours overlooked the Seaside Grill and the Ocean. We ate breakfast on the deck one morning as well.
Beach
the water was calm - the best place to walk into the water and swim was on the south side of the property. The resort has used ropes and bouys to identify the best water/beach area.
There are some rocks out from of the Preferred area (north). We spent most of our day time on the beach in the Preferred club area , on the North end of the property. Service was very good, we arrived pretty much the same time every morning and were greated each day by the smiling face of Salvador the beach concierge. After 2 days he knew our names and where we preferred to sit. If we needed anything he was there to make it happen. Our beach bar Service was amazing – if they could see our drinks were empty there would be someone right there. We had great help from Virginio the Bartendar (Okie Dokie Smokey) and Alfredo our server.
Restaurants
Meals were well prepared and always hot. Breakfast was in the world Café – servers were always ready to plate your food, what ever that was there. We never missed or went longing for anything. We often tend to have a high protein breakfast so omelets are a standard. Lunches were a mix of Seaside Grill and the pool meal (this was where the food service was a special or themed event on pool deck right next to Barefoot grill. (sushi, Mexican, there was also a BBQ day on the beach) Drinks were always cold and the staff always helpful.
Dinners
We ate at the Portofino, El Patio, Bordeaux. Again food was great and service excellent. All restaurants are seated as you come – no reservations required. The longest wait we had was 10 min – right in the “dinner rush”. One of our favorite employees Rolando remembered

Beautiful resort with manicured landscaping and very clean. They used a tractor to clean the sargassum off the beach every morning but the amount in the water kept most people from going in the ocean. Exceptional service and cleanliness especially during the Covid. However, we were not concerned about the virus and if you are, why are you traveling? We stayed in a swim-out room and it was the best choice if you have children, but keep in mind you are a good walk from the beach and restaurants. However, you are close to the kids club, spa and gym. The kids explorer club is included and it is amazing!! However, we never knew the schedule of events and it changed daily. So it's a trade off. As an all inclusive, drinks were ok, not great but you can kind of expect that. My only complaint was the food. You are not within walking distance of anything and it is all a taxi ride to everything off the resort so I highly recommend a rental car. The food was not good, some was not edible. The best restaurants were Portofino and Bordeaux in the evening. We could not eat the hotdogs or burgers at the beach grill. It was terrible because it was poorly processed packaged meat and even my children would not eat it. That's how bad it was. We had to go off site to get decent food so if they can correct the food problem this is an amazing resort because we really had no other complaint. Remove the all inclusive food and drink pricing and make it a pay as you go experience and watch the food and drink improve 100%. That would've been a better experience that I could deal with. We would go back but only if we rent a car and are able to get off the resort at will. Driving looked safe and easy so I would have no worries about it.
