We stayed at Mango for 6 nights and enjoyed our stay. The garden is beautiful. Jana the manager was very helpful throughout our stay answering all our questions and giving us great recommendations on where to eat. The location is perfect for visiting the town, biking to the beach or to the cenotes. Also located next to a supermarket which was very convenient. We will return next time we come to Tulum. Thank you Jana!
Lovely place with pool and a really great host! Always available and helpful!! Rooms with AC, cleaned every day. We stayed 3 nights and loved it. I recommend a car though in order to get to the beach(es) or cenotes. Supermarket and lots of other restaurants, banks and shops nearby
Mango hotel is tucked away in an off-street of Tulum Pueblo (look for the blue doors between the green). A few blocks from a water reservoir where heavy water trucks drive back and forth endlessly to all those “eco hotels” in the hotel zone at the shore. Between that and the noisy gas-powered aggregates delivering electricity to these luxury hideaways I believe Mango is the more sustainable choice after all. We’ve spent a handful of nights at the small hotel and had nothing to complain. Sure, it ticks the boxes for cleanliness, a good shower and a central location, a short walk to the town centre or an (electric) bike ride to the beach or Tulum ruins. What it offers more is chatty receptionist Jana that moved to MX a few years ago and knows the area like the back of her hand. The last leg of our roadtrip on the Yucatan peninsula brought us to PDC and Isla Mujeres afterwards, but part of us wished we’ve just coasted it out in Tulum instead. Mango has a kitchen area that you can use to eat breakfast you bought at the Oxxo around the corner. It has a swimming pool to take a dip in. Should you want to get some laundry done, go to “Lulu” a 5 mn walk away. We’ll be back if time and money allows.…
We had such a great time at Mango. The host is super nice and she had a lot of very helpful information about Tulum. You should rent a bike and go to the beach or to the cenotes which are very close by.
We really enjoyed our stay at Mango Hotel. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Jana (the Host) was a helpful person. She told us a lot about Tulum and the activities there. It was easy to reach the Ruins, the Beach and the center of Tulum from Mango Hotel (Ruins and Beach by bicycle).
