Me and my Italian friend Gavina stayed in the Cabins in town. It was few years back, and this lovely couple, Dora and Pierre did their best to accommodate us on the best level. The place is calm, full of plants and has such a great ambient. We had some amazing talks with Dora and Pierre, and even got a...

We contacted the couple that owns this place to find a room, based on the reviews. When we spoke to them, we were told that the hostel was full, but they have a second location just out of town. These shacks are located 1km away from town in a noisy neighborhood. There is no AC, two outlets in the entire...

My friend and I paid higher rates to stay here during the high season. This place is not worth the money they are asking for it. We never actually met "Dora". We met Irma. The place looked nothing like the photos. It's not even a cabin. There were lizards and bugs all in the room. There is no air conditioning...

Calm Cabins is just off the main drag, close to the bus station, and fairly basic. We spent 6 nights there. Our room was clean and comfortable, spacious and well-fitted. The owner-host, Dora, serves breakfast in the open area in the compound; wholesome, filling and different every day. Dora is a gem: she knows the area well and will give...

The room with private bathroom is the best. Mozy screens on all windows and doors. Excellent breakfasts, different everyday. Beautiful garden, sit and watch the 'Cinnamon Humming Birds' doing their thing or the Iguanas sunning themselves. The best is Dora, your host, who is so kind and friendly and happy to help with great local information. We will definitely be...

After some hectic hostels, I was glad to stay on a calm place, close to the bus station, shop with fruit and vegetable, main avenue and a bike rental. Dora and her friend who helped with running the place were nice and helpful. I recommend this for persons who prefere calm and the opportunity to cook.
