Good quiet location, conveniently close to 307 and delicious food in downtown Tulum. Best possible base for exploring the Mayan Riviera. Breakfast was tasty and the staff are super friendly. AC is solid, better than anything you'll find on the beach.

My wife and I spend two weeks of June 2016 at the ZenaLiza. It is an amazing B&B. The staff are out of this world. They are five stars in my book! Thanks so much for making our vacation to Tulum amazing!

Sweet spot with only a handful of rooms. The owner Robert is very attentive to any needs you have and is very helpful with suggestions of what to see, do, and restaurants to check out. He also set up a great massage for me that was fantastic!

This B&B offers great value far from the madding crowd at the Beach! The room is spacious, clean and set in a garden-like tranquil setting. The owner, Robert, is 'in residence' in the owner's unit for about 6 months and is very helpful with suggestions and time to answer any questions. About 5 minutes by car from the centre of... More

Stayed here with a friend just recently, we'd both stayed in Tulum before, this time decided to stay within the town itself, we found Villa Zenaliza to be a pleasant place to stay, it is at the edge of the town but not far from the center; our quarters were spacious, nicely appointed, service was great, friendly, and responsive; rates... We stayed at Villa ZenaLiza in December of 2015. Robert, the owner and his staff maintain this understated property in Tulum pueblo as a passion project. The rooms are very comfortable and always clean. Since the pueblo tends to heat up much more than the beach, each room has AC. If you are looking for a non-beach spot in Tulum,... More

My room was quiet and comfortable; the landscaping, and breakfasts were nice. I especially enjoyed Ana and Mario, the local staff who, although they didn't speak much English, reflect the local culture and helped me with everything I needed. At the last minute my husband was not able to go so I was traveling alone and felt very safe in... More

We stayed here for 5 nights and it was a great place for us in Tulum. Robert and his staff, plus the cat, are so friendly and accommodating it is humbling. They did all they can to make our stay here the best it could be and we had a great time. Robert went out of his way to make... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Villa ZenaLiza is a traditional Mexican style designed hotel, located in Tulum Mexico, at a walking distance from town and a 15 minute drive to beach, ruins and cenotes. Villa ZenaLiza is very quiet, secluded and relaxing. Some of the architectural features are artisanal ironwork, talavera tiles, hand-crafted hard wood furniture and doors. It comes with relaxing tropical garden and patios, and a traditonal Mayan Palapa. Some of the best Mexican Graffiti Artists from different parts of the country have painted beautiful murals in the garden. Villa ZenaLiza was built by two American brothers from Minnesota, who have family roots in Mexico. After many Minnesota winters and in anticipation of our retirement as a University professor, and as a businessman, we decided to build a beautiful tropical Art Hotel Villa in Tulum. Making this decision has opened a world of new experiences for us in quite magical ways. We have built this Villa with the purpose of sharing what we love with you. So, feel welcome in Villa ZenaLiza. We are happy to have you! ... more   less
