The Manager Barbara Vargas was so rough and even rude. The worst experience in all my life, is a shame for us because we have hear a lot of reviews about the service in México but we don't imagine this.

As part of our trio to Mexico - my husband and I visited Tulum, The Mayan Village and Coba. Albeit the excursion was not necessarily cheap; the whole day was amazing and spectacular. Should you visit Mexico, it’s worth a visit.

We spent a wonderful 7 days at this resort. The accommodations were terrific, just a few steps from the beach, and the food was great. Best of all, the staff was so kind and helpful. We would return in a minute!

First of all, it's insanely expensive. I spent $2500 on a 3 night stay in the cheapest room. I've spent that much at a 5 star resort in Maui for 6 nights. And Maui, this is not. The beach is covered in putrid seaweed. And I mean covered. We had to step over piles of it and around the flies just to get our feet into the water. Secondly, the male workers made me feel very uncomfortable. They stared and their eyes lingered. It's not flattering. It's assault. Train your staff to be respectful and keep their eyes to themselves. They also speak about guests in Spanish right in front of them if they know you don't understand. There's also no wifi on premises. It's 2019, invest in wifi. Beach towels are not available in the rooms. You have to make a special request for them??? I understand that we're in the jungle, but I walked into my room and stepped barefoot on a pile of dead ants. And they have the nerve to charge a resort fee. Your prices are way too high, you need to bundle food, yoga, and spa treatments into your rates year-round if you want to stay competitive.

Maya Tulum is a fantastic refuge on the sea. The entire atmosphere is one of quiet and friendliness. No blaring music or beach bars here. Just great healthy and delicious freshly prepared meals, all presented with care and taken in a beautiful and spacious open-air building. Maya Tulum offers high quality yoga classes 2x/day and all of the teachers are friendly, well-prepared and experienced. The staff throughout the establishment is friendly and efficient. Wellness services are conveniently available on site. The rooms are quiet and many offer views of the water. All are steps from the beach. Easy to go right from your room to the beach and in for a swim or just hang out and read a book or meditate. BTW - all the paths are silky soft sand. We highly recommend it!
