My boyfriend and I loved this place, the huge 4 poster bed, the big shower and daily clean by the maids all were lovely. Towels were provided for lying on the private little beach that Piedra Escondida surrounds. The beach was so beautiful with all the sun beds and hammocks, a true tropical paradise. We often lay there and ordered... More

We stayed there for 3 nights, and had quite a pleasant stay. The staff has been very nice from our arrival to our departure. Rooms are cute, the hotel has a lovely little private beach. The included breakfast is good and fresh. However, we did not manage to sleep well. First, the hotel is located right behind the main road,... More

Those three words pretty much sum up our trip at this beautiful space. This review is a little late considering we were there last February but I hope that this hotel keeps drawing in the kind of people that it holds within it, and that's respectful, kind, and magical. The hotel manager (Dejanira) even went out of her way (we... More

We had the best meal at this charming restaurant in Tulum. New chef, Martina Garcia cooked a wonderful fresh local fish in banana leaves. He chose the perfect white wine to accompany and the creme brûlée was perfection. Waiters Marcello and Armando were gracious. The setting is serene and old world. A magical evening..... Thanks.

Piedra Escondida is one of the longest operating hotels in Tulum. The staff is attentive and attuned to their guests needs, the rooms are clean and open out onto the ocean, their beach is private and fully equipped with umbrellas, lounge chairs and toys for kids ( a plus for us as we were traveling with a two year old)... From the minute we checked in, Piedra Escondida (PE) has been a wonderful experience. Everyone, especially Marcelos, Emilio, and Samantha were so helpful and kind. This was my husband's first time traveling abroad with me, and I could not have taken him to a better place for the first leg of our honeymoon. Our room was cozy, comfortable, and always... More

We stayed for one week. We had room #4 which has a balcony that overlooks the ocean. It was amazing. The ocean breeze was so excellent that we didn't want to close the door at night and turn on the air conditioning. The room was cleaned to our satisfaction daily, and the hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. There is... More

So first let me start with Tulum itself. Who should go to Tulum? This area gets a lot of great press but it isn't for everybody. In my opinion this destination is a step or two up from camping. If you love being outdoors most of the time, don't mind bugs, don't really need AC And think yoga on the... More

Stayed 6 nights. The hotel is average. Seems that the owners and staff have lost focus on the hotel.....no real sole...which you expect at the High price level. We are often in Tulum and would choose another hotel next time. The Italian restaurant in town 50 meters from the hotel is a must.
