Our luxuriously appointed, rustic Tulum cabanas sit on a secluded stretch of white, powder-fine sand where one can enjoy the view from your private deck, steps away from the crystal clear Caribbean waters. Up and down the coastline you will find a natural peacefulness, gentle breezes and the hypnotic sounds of waves crashing against the sand, all in the simple tranquility of Tulum.

Where to begin...My wife and I spent our honeymoon here - during Hurricane Delta. Yikes! So why five-stars? 1. The Staff - They have to be the nicest and most friendly people on the planet. From being amazingly helpful in booking excursions to helping with last minute requests to remembering your drink after the first day, everyone on the staff went above and beyond any service we've ever had before. 2. The Property - A little sliver of paradise. The rooms are larger than we expected and kept super clean and total commute from our Ocean View room to the beach was about 20-25 seconds. The beach itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and private. 3. Food - Eat at the hotel and at their restaurant Nu. It was some of best food we had in Tulum. The rock shrimp at Nu was especially good. 4. The Little Unexpected Touches - During our stay, the hotel/staff went the extra mile to make us feel welcome and special. These included bottles (plural) of prosecco for our honeymoon and my wife's birthday, a really nice birthday arrangement in our room (with rose petals), little bites of chili-seasoned fresh fruit, and shots of delicious ginger tea in the morning. Tips: 1. Breakfast: Eat breakfast on the beach, multiple times. The Eggs Royal and the Green Juice are fantastic. 2. Beach Time/Excursions: Do a few excursions (cenotes, fishing, booze cruise, snorkeling), but leave plenty time to just relax on the beach. You will be back to Encantada, trust me, so why not relax and leave something to do for the next time... 3. Fishing: One of the highlights of our trip was going fishing out of Akumal, bringing the fish we caught back to the hotel, and having them prepare it for us for a small fee. All of this was arranged though the amazing Concierge Team. 4. Bug Spray: It's tropical so it was a little buggy, but we had plenty of bug spray and bug incense sticks to burn. If you forget it, the hotel has dispensers of natural bug lotion. 5. Flashlight/Cars: Bring a flashlight or use your phone on the road at night. The main road for all the beach hotels is pretty rough (tons of potholes/deep puddles). Also, don't rent a car. When you see the main road, you'll thank me. 6. Private Dinner: Surprise your spouse/significant other with Encatada's private dinner, beach side. Think candlelight, waves crashing, a million stars, rose petals, the great food from Nu, and just the two of you. My wife was blown away; yours will be too.

The service at this hotel is simply amazing. The staff at the front desk as well as the restaurant are a group of really wonderful people who are dedicated to making sure that you feel very special and well attended to. There was a hurricane that forced the entire hotel zone to evacuate during our stay and the staff handled this incredibly with the relocation complementary transportation and the feeling of safety at a time that felt a bit chaotic. The beach outside of Encantada is super quiet, the sand is gorgeous. The rooms at this hotel are large and the bed was very comfortable. I would highly recommend Encantada Tulum

What a very special and amazing place! Not only for the beauty in the architecture and natural resources used in the making but also the staff. You are not only treated like a royal guest but also like loved and cherished family. Encantada is a perfect balance of serenity and peace without being too over the top like other near by resorts. When you visit, you are one of the family. We can’t wait to go back.

We decided to spend our 25th Anniversary at Encantada Tulum, and this place exceeded ALL our expectations!! The staff was put to challenge while dealing with a major threat during Hurricane Delta, and the entire staff came thru in the best professional and organized way, to make us all feel safe and comfortable during that one day of chaos. After that, everything was smooth sailing from there! Thanks Eloísa for helping me organize our events and making our Anniversary unforgettable! Carlos also made sure we were pampered since the day we checked in, your level of customer service is unmatchable! Everyone in the staff, thank you very much! We already miss all you guys and can’t wait to come back and stay at Encantada again.

We had an amazing stay at Encantada for our honeymoon...the staff were so wonderful, friendly and helpful. The food was amazing and we even had our own private ceviche lesson on the beach! Waking up to the sound of the ocean every morning was pure bliss. Tulum beach is one of the best places overall we’ve ever been to and Encantada was the perfect place to unwind and be together. We are already planning our next trip, we can’t wait to go back.
