Our luxuriously appointed, rustic Tulum cabanas sit on a secluded stretch of white, powder-fine sand where one can enjoy the view from your private deck, steps away from the crystal clear Caribbean waters. Up and down the coastline you will find a natural peacefulness, gentle breezes and the hypnotic sounds of waves crashing against the sand, all in the simple tranquility of Tulum.

Encantada is absolutely beautiful. It is private and quiet with its 8 rooms which was perfect for our honeymoon at the beginning of March. We stayed in room Mar, which is ocean facing and on the first floor. The view was spectacular! We were able to watch the sunrise from bed

My husband and I have had the pleasure of staying at Encantada twice before. It is TRULY a special place, one we have grown to love, and even to consider our "home away from home" in paradise. This year, as our kids are now 18 and 20, we decided to take them, too. It did

THE nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. The tranquility, rooms, beach, food plus the most amazing staff. They make you truly feel like family the moment you arrive. One of the best beaches to take long walks on anywhere.

We were lucky enough to spend a few days at this beautiful property in February. This hotel is surrounded by plenty of shops, restaurants, and busy beach clubs, but all that somehow melts away the minute you walk through the entrance to Encantada. It’s amazing how peaceful and

Welcome margaritas!
Dear Robert, Thank you for your inquiry/feedback. As we spoke with you, the bar across from us just recently opened and started having loud music on the last 3 Sundays. We have met with the owner to make sure the situation stops and this way avoid issues with our guests. We have received confirmation that the project is shutting down, so it should not happen again. We are sorry it disturbed your peace, as we work tirelessly to ensure our guests have their perfect getaway in paradise. All my best, Julia Bitton General Manager

can we use beach chairs and umbrellas if we eat and drink from bar?
Thank you for your inquiry. No, I´m sorry, the beach area is reserved for hotel guests only, but our restaurant is open to the public. Sunny Regards, Julia General Manager

Is there a big seaweed problem at the moment?
Dear Tim, Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, we have been experiencing along Mexican beaches of the Caribbean the arrival of sargazo seaweed, an environmental situation that stretches from South Africa to Brazil to the Caribbean. It has come and gone for various periods over the past few years and changes daily with the tides. A vast majority of our hotel guests are still enjoying the beauty of the natural and unique setting of Tulum. We are lucky to not only have the beach, but amazing Mayan ruins, beautiful cenotes, clear lagoons and a delicious gastronomy scene as well. Having said that, we have a dedicated team that is working hard daily to mitigate this event by removing and disposing the seaweed from the beach strand. On top of this, we are also currently participating in a coast-wide initiative to find a solution for the seaweed, and we have been active in the various meetings between academics, the Government and the private sector to find durable solutions for our beautiful coast. I hope you found this information helpful and we get to welcome you to Encantada in the future! Warm Regards, Julia Bitton General Director

Hi Debby! I wouldn't necessarily call it a "resort". It's very small (only 8 units) and is more of a boutique hotel--that's what makes it so special! It is not all inclusive. You are within walking distance to hundreds of restaurants and there are palapas all along the beach offering massages for $40 and then more upscale spa retreats along the strip from that price up. Encantada does have a "spa"/massage option, but we've never used it. Encantada allows you to use their bikes to explore, too. Encantada's food is competitive with the pricing of other decent restaurants and in my opinion, it's much fresher, healthier and more delicious. The more we go down, the more we just want to stay in the private oasis that is Encantada--and enjoy their fresh, healthy, and authentic cuisine. I hope this helps and that you have a great trip no matter where you choose!

"They are all amazing!"
"upper rooms are my favourites"
"Get a beachside upper! You won't regret the extra money!!"
"Upper beachfront rooms are the best, if you can book one. But all the rooms are the same size, so you won't go wrong with any of them."
"The rooms on the beach were quiet. Those closer to the front I was told by one guest, a bit noisy as you could hear the street noise,"
