Property's Favorite Review
It's a little slice of paradise in the middle of Tulum.
I loved having my beautiful home for ten days with outdoor kitchen, two lovely kittens, and the gorgeous foliage throughout the whole property.
The room as spotless and so comfortable and I loved how fast the wifi was. It's was the fastest I found in Tulum.
The host and the manager are very quick to respond and so helpful. I can't wait to come back :)

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 weeks and we had the best time. We stayed in Toucan which was incredible, the room itself is really spacious and has a desk so we were able to work remotely without an issue - the Wi-Fi connection is super reliable. The room then opens out onto an amazing balcony Ki the area that is super private and surrounded by amazing greenery. It’s so peaceful and quiet.
The place itself is situated in La Veleta which is just stunning. If you prefer the quiet more relaxed holiday with many stunning restaurants and bars, this is the area for you. We ate out every night and everything was within walking distance. Top recommendations would be: Canova, Káapeh, Pizzine.
The pool isn’t the cleanest nor the biggest, so I would recommend going down to the beach for a swim or to Gran Cenote.
The only thing I would advise on is do not book the airport transfer through this accommodation. We did and got stopped by the airport taxi company, to be told we weren’t allowed to ride in a taxi that wasn’t booked with them. They were quite aggressive. We were then left stranded and asked to pay 220USD for a one way taxi!!! DO NOT PAY THIS! We booked a ADO coach and I could not recommend it enough. 13USD pp one way to Tulum, it’s airconed, super comfortable and safe and stops a 10 minute walk from the accommodation.
Overall great stay, and great accommodation but just be aware of the scamming. We booked a day trip through the accommodation and got scammed. It was supposedly a friend of the host Carla but we were left stranded in Playa Del Carmen. We finally managed to get our money back and booked the same tour through a different company for half the price at 55 USD! Dont pay over 100USD for a day trip!

Thank you so much for staying at The Secret Garden. We are so happy you enjoyed our property and our Toucan suite. We are so disappointed to learn about your difficulty with the taxi service. We personally take the ADOs as well, when the timing allows. Thank you for sharing your ADO tip, and these bad Taxi experiences, so we can help our guests avoid these shuttle services in the future.

Ancient Energy, calming silence, unique home away from home.
Mayan Palms and lush gardens!
We live in Tulum and got so lucky to stay the weekend as a couple then joined by friends at The Secret Garden for a staycation this July! Here is how I can describe the grounds and experience ::
The feeling of home and that unique Tulum Vibe. Every unit complete as a home stay in its own; The Secret Garden Tulum experience can’t be explained like a hotel or airbnb really it is so unique and lovely.
Private but Walking distance to shops restaurants market ATV rentals and felt safe day and night. Private room was more like private apartment and private house we had the entire first floor of the main house. We had a tour of the other spaces on the property, with each available “unit” providing its own feeling and equipped with absolutely everything you could need including salon, extra couches and workspace, kitchen, huge bathroom and jungle shower, extra blankets pillows towels big closet and walking right out into the poolside courtyard garden! (See our photo) Almost virtually silent all the time despite proximity to the lively nightlife of the La Valletta neighborhood. Tons of light pouring in the windows, but the lush gardens and palms gave us privacy too. We only had rain one morning but even the rain was so beautiful giving us a rainforest vibe with the water falling onto all the trees and the pool, it was our best instagram moment of the stay!
Tastefully decorated with Mayan Tulum and artful classic Mexican essential and natural elements (for example local hardwood tables and Mayan marble and or stone in flooring, shower, poolside and countertops) the grounds are very lovingly cared for. Don’t stay here if you want anonymous 4 diamond experience. This place is about personalized service and connection, and you can choose to be or not to be connected at any time! Also, the staff will blow you away because they don’t even feel like staff, you just know they are there to take care of your time and space, while discreet they obviously really care and all have multiple talents to offer in service to their guests, like massage therapy and rich local knowledge along with dedication to hospitality. You wouldn’t ever need or want to leave The Secret Garden Tulum if you didn’t have to!
Thank you so much Christi and TSGT Team we felt like Family and can’t wait to return for our next visit.
Much Love,
Electra and Ivan

Convenient, clean, comfortable, and courteous. The courtyard setting welcomes the traveler. Staff readily shares knowledge of the area in multiple languages and finds ways to individualize suggestions tapered to the tourist. Staff also extended themselves beyond expectations. Gratitude for this beautiful oasis.

What an amazing discovery! Staying at the Secret Garden left my daughter and I feeling like royalty at a hidden private resort. The accommodations were beautiful and the pool was like a little private heaven. We loved being so close to all the activities and appreciated the personal attention from the host to make sure we felt safe exploring.

I enjoyed staying here. It was like a jungle refuge from the hustle and bustle of Avenida Tulum in Tulum Town Center. It was walking distance to this and 7th street in La Veleta which is where this hotel is situated. The beautiful Frida Kahlo hacienda was stylish with a bedroom opening up to the pool and lush garden. Carla, the manager, was great, and I made a new friend in Mexico. I highly recommend this venue in the trendy La Veleta region. There is even a lovely house feline, Frida, that keeps guests company.

Wow! What an amazing jungle dream! The host is really professionnal and available. I recommand this place at 100% if you want to see nature, good vibe and nice little details everywhere! You are near of the 7e street where you want to go for drink, diner, grocery, rent bike. It's 20 minute in bike from every beachclub or public beach.

The secret gardens was an awesome vibe. The plants and outdoor area made it feel like you were in the jungle. The condo and facilities were clean and the staff were great people and super helpful with recommendations in the area and services.. It is around the corner from 7th street which is the best street for food in the whole of tulum in my opinion. Would highly recommend
