Yes time stopped. We were here for 5 nights & it felt like 3 weeks.. Really got to rest. The reception staff were great especially Tom; Cheers mate. The restaurant had really good food but it was pricey. If you want to relax in a charming little cottage by the beach this is your place. If you expect luxuries &... More

This hotel captures exactly what is wrong with pretentious 'eco-friendly' resorts. You pay more for less luxury and the contribution to the environment is minimal. Sure, using AC is not great for the environment - but in hot, humid environments (and especially when your room has very little ventilation) the best is to use renewable energy. For the price you... The best way to described this place is eco-luxury rustic. The hotel has a very nice overall feel and energy about it. Sitting on the sun drenched deck overlooking the crystal clear waters and white sand beaches of Tulum is magical. One of the only hotels that has a pool right on the beach. Our room was one of the... This was the perfect beach vacation for my family. My Kids are ages 12-25, and had something for everyone. Super beachy and relaxing vibe. Spent each day in the ocean and then relaxing/playing in the beach side pool. The food is amazing, fish tacos and the guacamole are the best in the world! A really perfect place to spend quality... So this place is in general pretty excellent, but has some idiosyncrasies which would make it not for everyone. My girlfriend and I booked an ocean-view room in the Amansala Chica portion of the hotel. The room is fairly sparsely furnished, but there's a great big bed and a lovely deck with hammock and chairs, and you are literally on... More

I stayed in this hotel at the end of a 2 wks trip in Yucatan. Awesome. Rooms facing the ocean are great and the food from the restaurant is super savory. If I could eat more guacamole or grilled octopus from there, I would definitely. Staff is very friendly : a special shout out to Angel from reception.

This week I had the opportunity to walk on the Tulum hotel strip. As we passed by many resorts we were very happy to have stopped at this small boutique shop that lured us into paradise. The shop had many small items that seemed to be made by local artists. From jewelry, clothing, house decorations and local artist paintings. The... More

I loved waking up every morning to the most beautiful beach just steps away. Tulum is paradise, and Amansala is set up for you to hang out on the beach or on the terrace right above the beach. They have great cabanas and swinging sun beds. The breakfasts were amazing. The yoga studio overlooking the ocean was great, as was... More

This could be a good place but from trying to book a room to the service when you get there it is very difficult to like this place. The price for the room is also pretty high for a room with no air conditioning, no lock and you can't use your blow dryer. Look elsewhere for the Tulum experience.
