The day trip to Bacalar with Itour was affordable and worth it. The 7 colours lagoon is absolutely stunning, and a once of a lifetime opportunity. Getting the chance to eat at a local restaurant is also a bonus. Definitely recommend but be sure to use the washroom before you

Honestly it is very hard to recommend the day tour that costs 130 USD per person. We were extremely disappointed. Many crocodiles, dolphins and turtles were supposed to be "discovered". In the end it is a lot of car and boat traveling for an effective discovery of more or less

Hi Boris, thank you for writing us. Let me first apologize once again for the inconvenience of the damaged boat you had to drag. As we already explained, that was not your captain duty. For a misunderstanding between him and the port authority, he decided to go rescue the other boat, but such a thing never happened before and we’re sure it will never happen again! We always make sure to give 100% attention to our customers, trying to take the best out of the beautiful Biosphere. As you have experienced, Sian Kaan is a natural reserve, with specific rules for the preservation of the area, for the people living in it as well as for the animals. Allow me to remind you that we are one of the very few companies to start the boat tour only after 8 km from the entrance of the Reserve. I know that in this period those 8 km seem to never end, but the road conditions get worse in this period of the year because of the rain. All other companies, before boarding a boat, have to drive for other 20 km, which means another hour and a half at least, bumping and jumping much more than you did. Since the animals live wild and free in the Biosphere, we cannot guarantee anybody to see them all: some days you manage to see crocodiles as well, but for safety reasons we can’t go looking for them through the lagoon… As for the dolphins, not to stress them out, we cannot surround them or approach them too much. That’s why you had to “wait your turn”, making sure you could see them without making them nervous. As for the turtle on the contrary, I beg your pardon if you couldn’t see any, because even if you loose track of the first one, the captain should continue to cruise until he finds another one. That’s what we always do. The reef -where people do the snorkelling activity- can be seen in two areas only, for safety reasons: I’m sure your guide, together with the captain, choose to took you in the one offering the best visibility. (In the other area, being even shallower, if weather conditions aren’t perfect, it’s really hard to distinguish the corals). Unfortunately though, it the reef was blurry, that’s because of the bad sea conditions, I’m sorry. As for the entrance fee you paid, the 100 pesos do not include only the 34 pesos to enter the Reserve, but also the tax to benefit of the exclusive peer at Visitors’ Centre (remember: we’re one of the very few company starting the boat tour from that point). Anyway, since we are really really sorry for the disappointing adventure you had, we would like to offer you a refund (you should already have received an email about it). At last, please be so kind to note that the comment you wrote us is on the hotel TripAdvisor page, not on the tour agency page.

Posto tranquillo e sempre sorvegliato, pure di notte. Noi non abbiamo avuto nessun problema. Ho lasciato documenti e soldi nelle valigie chiuse.
