Ajal Tulum was an incredible experience. We were well taken care of from the minute we arrived. Pros: Mr. Pink kept in communication immediately after booking. Ana our host tailored everything to our needs and the type of experience we wanted. If you are looking for an experience out of the ordinary this is it ! The food from the kitchen was incredible, it was easily the best food we had in Tulum. We were able to visit the nearby Cenote which was perfectly hidden so it was not overcrowded, and also a short walk away. Not far from the beach and the town , a cab ride is always necessary to get there. Ana gave us a taxi contact who I was able to text to ask for rides when needed , this made it very easy and convenient. Of course there are bugs you’re in the jungle, but don’t worry the mosquito tent and bug spray in the room helps a lot ! Cons : The sign to get there off the highway is hard to see at night, I don’t know if that is intentional but our cab driver had to make several u-turns when taking us there. Once we learned where we were we were able to guide them. The cons aren’t much just what could be worked on, we had an unforgettable time, and plan to come back!

Thank you for staying with us and for your appreciation for what we've created. Tropical environments always come with little flying friends. The hidden sign is partially intentional. Sorry for the inconvenience. But once you know where we are, it's easy to find your way back. Thanks again and cheers to wonderful experiences.

Property's Favorite Review
Absolutely wonderful! My wife and I stayed here in May 2022 and it could not have been nicer. The room was private and perfect down to every detail, especially the cleverly designed shower. And the food was absolutely superb. We will dream about those meals for years. The cenote was an excellent place to swim in crystal clear water with fish and hammocks. Don Carlos, Ana, and all of the staff were impeccable and kind throughout. We liked it so much that we decided to stay on-site our entire stay. This is an absolute gem and we could not recommend it more!

Ajal Tulum is a true jewel, a rare place in the middle of the jungle. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in Ajal a d could ‘t have chosen a better place. Ana our host planned every detailed to perfection. She prepared the menu beforehand and even asked for our favorite song to play at our arrival. We had a couple message at the tree house suite to then have a delicious meal prepared just for us. We met our guest Mr. Pink who greeted us and spent time woth us. This visit was magical and we plan to return soon. This place is romantic and unique. A perfect venue for any kind of celebration. We are truly grateful for the great time we had in our tree house getaway.

Me and my son spent a wonderful day here in Ajal. If you are looking for a place in the jungle with nice staff, I highly recommend Ajal. Ana organized also for us a Cacao Ritual which was a wonderful experience. The cenote Escondido is at walking distance from Ajal so you can enjoy swimming, diving or jumping in this magnificent cenote as well. Thank you Ana for the nice conversation.

I recently went here for lunch and drinks. What a beautiful warm calm place in the middle of the jungle. Got the best hospitality from lovely Anna and Ulises. Anna made the best mezcalita maracuya for me and quesadias were muy rico too. She took us to show us the special type of bees that live inside trees. Overall wonderful experience. Highly recommend

I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels and the treehouse was truly unique and enchanting. You wake up to a gorgeous view of tropical greenery that usually birds only have access to. The on-site shef prepared delicious meals with freshest ingredients.

My partner and I were lucky enough to be able to spend 8 days and 7 nights here in mid-June. Absolutely everything from arrival to departure far exceeded our expectations. They treated us not only like royalty, but like family. Over the course of our vacation here, that is what John, Anna, and Eli became, mi familia. John was the most kind and gracious man, and also the owner. The be able to talk with him and spend evenings and dinners with him and his fabulous host Anna was a blessing. The chef, Eli, cooked the most incredible meals every night. Though we usually ventured out for breakfast and lunch, we ate dinner here every single night. We became so excited to see what they were cooking up for us each evening, true authentic Mexican and Mayan cuisine. Anna is also an incredibly talented aesthetician and masseuse; we got and rejuvenating facial from her that left us feeling years younger! The tree houses were nice and private, and while a little spartan, had everything we needed or wanted. There is no AC, but the fans above the bed and the portable fans that they charged every day for us made a huge difference! The hammock on the porch was fantastic... now i want a hammock at home! The shower was probably my favorite part of the room as it was actually outside! And had plenty of not just warm, hot water! I could go on and on, but instead you should do yourself a favor and stay here. The road getting in is a little bumpy, but well marked and going slow gives you a chance to appreciate the jungle, plus it build anticipation to a well worth it destination. Cant wait to go back, love from Maine! André and Jacob

Ajal Tulum, from the moment I arrived to my reluctant departure, was and is a magical place, and an amazing experience. Nestled in the jungle of Tulum, my room was comfortable, well kept by Tere, and I did not have to want for anything, because Ana took care of everything for me! Ricardo, Cholo and Franklin attended to my luggage, keep the grounds pristine, and provided me with a tour of the property. The meals at night, from Chef Eli, beyond delicious, with fresh vegetables, seafood, and the most amazing guacamole and ceviche, accompanied by local wine. Every night was a culinary adventure, and the mornings filled with melodic sounds of the birds from the far reaches of the jungle. Thank you for this amazing experience, Mr. John Pink, I was sad to leave the magic of Ajal, and look forward to my return, so I can watch the sunset from the jungle view tower with a cold libation, and wake up to the peaceful sounds of the birds as they bring in another day in the jungle.

I booked a Cacao Ceremony and dinner at Ajal and it was an all around amazing experience. The owner was very kind and knowledgeable making booking easy. The ceremony itself was beautiful, we left feeling so at peace, it was very moving. The food and drinks were delicious and the staff were so kind and generous. The manager, Ana, showed us all around the grounds and told us all about the property, wild life, and vegetation in the area. The view from the watchtower was so gorgeous at sunset! This was an all around memorable experience and I can’t recommend it enough.
