Thank you Hernandez & staff for providing a beautiful quiet retreat outside the hustle of downtown Tulum.
Turquoise Petit is a small, beautiful & funky boutique hotel. Although it is about 20 mins walk from downtown Tulum & a drive or bike ride to the beach, this was its attraction. Tulum was very busy with tourists when we visited & this hotel provided a peaceful retreat. 2 swimming pools & plenty of lounging space to chill on lounges, hammocks or at a table outside your room. They also offer free use of bikes to ride into town, the beach, ruins or cenote’s.
The staff were lovely & very helpful. Good breakfast included each morning, fruit, cereal, eggs, toast & coffee. Rooms were very simple & well appointed. King size bed was very comfortable.
We found the beach strip of Tulum too hectic & intense for our liking. It reminds me of the Kuta/Legian strip in Bali.

Lovely boutique hotel in La Veleta! The hotel is far enough from downtown and the main strip so it's very quiet at night. Taxis are easy to come by, so I was able to get to downtown and to the beach without issues.
Breakfast was plentiful and delicious: eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, fresh fruit juice, and bread. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and yes, the place looks just like the pictures.
I loved it so much, I've already booked my next stay. :)
Tip: No ATMs nearby.

During my stay everything was accommodated. Karen was incredibly helpful and you could tell she loves what she does. My ride transport was accommodated for a great price in comparison to taxis and my bedroom always felt like I was at home. She leads a team that works proficiently, professionally, and diligently. All of these people enjoyed their work environment and it felt like everyone was a family there. Lovely music played daily and the pools, rooms and ambiance were held to high standards. The smells were very fresh and breezy. It was a great experience! They even have complimentary breakfast which always tasted authentic!
P.S
There is the SWEETEST outdoor kitty who will keep you company.

My husband and I were coming to Tulum on our honeymoon. We arrived in Tulum around 9:30pm after traveling all day and surprisingly found out that Turquoise Petit could not accommodate our reservation despite having confirmed our reservation with us just the month prior! Their front door man did not speak any english and so you can imagine how frustrating this was for us after traveling all day. We had received previous emails from the hotel regarding our reservation but they never mentioned that we could not actually stay there. After a lot of google translate we were informed that our reservation was transferred to another hotel. We then had to take a second taxi to our new hotel. It was fine and the staff were nice and we appreciate them transferring us to a price comparable hotel but we had banked on the free bike rentals from Turquoise Petit and our new hotel did not have bicycles for everyone. They only had 2 and were not free and were monopolized by another couple during our entire stay. So we had to spend quite a bit of extra money on scooters and taxis, roughly $400 USD more than planned!
We later found the email from Turquoise Petit explaining the reservation change in our SPAM folder because they sent it from a phone. They even asked we confirm this change, which we never did. You would think they would try to follow up any way possible! They had our phone number. This customer service experience was awful! The pictures of this place and the reviews are nice but I would not stay here till they can confirm their construction is complete. It is wrong that they are taking reservations when they can't accommodate them!

My girlfriend and I stayed for 4 days in October in the King room with the tub. While the stay itself was pleasant, we were massively over-charged when we arrived. We had booked the hotel online through their website to avoid Airbnb, but when it came to check out through the website, the price we were charged was over $300 more than the price we had been shown on the website. When we raised this issue with the General Manager of the hotel, she agreed that there had been a mistake through the online booking service and ensured us that we would be payed back. After months of trying to arrange payment and the new General Manager Jesus acknowledging that our reimbursement “was a fact” - we have still not been reimbursed. At this point, we are doubtful that they ever intended to reimburse us, and feel entirely scammed. Both the hotel and the management did not help us …! Also the hotel was under major renovations which were loud and not very visually appealing. Nothing was offered to us, and we were not made aware of them prior to arrival. We are extremely disappointed with our experience and will never recommend to anyone.

Highly Recommend! Turquoise Petit Hotel Tulum is a hidden gem. Location is good, not too far of a walk to the main street. Breakfast, coffee, tea every morning was the perfect spread accompanied by beautiful jazz music and paintings by the hotel owner. The staff was always very attentive and personable with everything we needed including check in and out. The property was the epitome of Tulum with two pools and jungle vibes. Very quiet area and property. The common area was a perfect place to lounge and get work done in the morning while eating breakfast. Rooms were a great size and clean. Bathrooms had all amenities included. Can not beat the price either! Thank you for a wonderful stay, will most definitely be back again!

Staying here right now and will update after our stay, but wanted to post sooner rather than later about the construction on two sides of the hotel. It is very, very noisy. Granted, you're probably not in your room during the day, but if you want to enjoy either pool, think again. As for our room (king room "C") the shower is clogged. Asked the front desk to send a maintenance person and, although she said she would, she told my partner later that they would address it after we left. Another noise issue is the hookah bar across the street that plays obnoxious music until way too late. Lastly, the hotel is NOT adults-only, if that matters to you.
Location is great, though, and the rooms are comfortable, modern and clean.

Me and the hubby decided to throw caution to the wind and stay outside the popular resorts. Instead we wanted to experience a home-grown authentic Tulum vacation. This was amazing!! We are from Indianapolis Indiana, and we are about as mid-western as it comes. We knew nothing of Tulum or the area. We just knew we wanted something different in a vacation. Turquoise Petite and Tulum owe us nothing!!
We were very close to Tulum Ave with its shops and restaurants. We were in the heart of the city and not too far from the beach. You need to be adventurous and ready to manage your stay without someone holding your hand every step of the way. Wilbur our Concierge was helpful and patient with us.
The room was darling and surprisingly peaceful and relaxing. There was no TV, which was a perfect way to engage us into daily activities and adventures.
They did serve fruit, juice, coffee and eggs upon request daily. No complaints there.
This is a hidden gem in the jungle. I could go on forever.

Driving it's about a 28 minute ride. I would not recommend walking as it's about a 2 hour walk unless you really enjoy walking.
