We ended up eating here several times, and enjoying the sky bar for a couple evenings. The food is delicious, the atmosphere will absolutely charm you, and the small staff will take care of you like family. (Thank you Flo, Susana, Angelica) On our first visit, Flo took care of us, and when he noticed me swatting a mosquito he immediately delivered insect repellent to the table without me even asking. That really showed attention to detail and care for the customer. Flo is amazing! Angelica runs the Sky Bar operation, and she took care of us like a friend would. I highly recommend Ciel Rose restaurant and Sky Bar to everyone who visits Tulum!! I miss it already. Note that this is the jungle, and there WILL BE mosquitoes. We loved this funky hotel - traveled with my 3 college age kids to Tulum. Ciel Rose is a hip beach cafe/ bar on jungle side of road with rooms in back - we had the treehouse double palapa - large comfortable room in a great location. Flo the manager was so nice and fun. If you want glamour not your place....if funky loft like room in a jungle with cool hippy funky vibe - you will love. We did!

After arriving from Cancun airport for my 2nd trip to Tulum I was pleased by the initial presentation of the room. However after booking through booking.com for 2 rooms and paying quite a lot of money, to see one of the rooms advertised outside for a fraction of the price was a little annoying. The rooms had no A/C which meant a very hot nights sleep. Towels we're not changed during our 3 night stay, rooms are cleaned at 2pm at the earliest which meant we had to wait outside for it to be cleaned after lunch. We we're told by the owner that the breakfast (toast, fruit, tea coffee and fruit juice) was unlimited, however we we're told by breakfast staff we could only have 2 slices of toast unless we wanted to pay more! Spoke to management who said would then speak to the staff... Only to have the same problem the next day. Suffered terribly with mosquitoes in the dining area and in the garden. Disappointed in Tulum itself this time and by Ciel Rose. …

We stayed nearly a week and were able to experience multiple cabanas (thanks for the upgrades, Guillaume!) and loved it all. The beds are comfortable, the decor is fun, each unit has its own hammock and deck, and the staff are super friendly and accommodating. We've recommended it to all our friends and will definitely be back! Be sure to check out sunset from the observation deck!
