Habitas Tulum - a dream come true
So want to relax and get away from your hectic schedule?l Habitas tulum is something you need to simply experience. Soothe your soul and make TIME slow down a bit at this peaceful beachfront boutique resort. ‘zen with a maya twist.’ Every step was planned and calculated to give you peaceful stay. perfectly curated vibe and a Soundtrack of downtempo calming music sets the tone for this experience. There’s a feeling of Privacy and exclusivity while maintaining a sense of community and connection to the people, culture and land... Every meal at the restaurant was exceptional and we were amazed to learn how they incorporated traditional Mayan ingredients and cooking techniques throughout the menu. The rooms are very Minimalist chic, upscale glamping. Guests have little huts along the property and are supplied with everything you need and nothing you don’t. Morning yoga classes, sound baths and other activities are free for guests and of the highest quality. as a world traveler I want to always pay respect to the cultures, people and land I visit and this stay was everything that I could hope for. Special thanks to Eduardo Castillo and the entire Habitas Tulum team for accepting us into your family. We will definitely be back.
Thank you very much for sharing your magical experience within Habitas, without a doubt we will continue working to preserve that peace, relaxation and magic within Habitas. We hope to have you back soon. Greetings, Habitas family.

Trip to Tulum for my 40th
My partner and I took a trip to Tulum to celebrate my 40th birthday in a warm, loving and relaxing atmosphere. The experience from booking many months in advance to us needing to reschedule was really smooth and streamlined. We chose a Jungle Room with breakfast daily, massage therapy and pre arranged rides to and from the airport in Cancun. Habitas scheduled our ride which was waiting for us after we moved through immigration at the border. Our driver was prepared with chilled water and cool towels to refresh us after a day of travel from Detroit. Neither of us were expecting such thoughtful details but it truly set the tone for a luxury week away. At arrival to the resort, we were offered water and a tour with some knowledge of the offerings and the unique amenities of the space. The layout of the space felt really thoughtfully designed and constructed. My partner and I loved loved loved the breakfast menu and coffee service! The entire team at Moro was personable and on top of the guest experience. It was important to us to learn the names of those who were serving us daily and at the end of our week away, the Moro team had learned our names in return and remembered small details of our dietary needs. Our massage therapists were skilled and created a beautiful sensory environment for our session which was really amazing. We borrowed bikes from Habitas to do some light exploring and it was a nice amenity to utilize. Habitas also reserved our Centoes Tour with a local company. Our guide, Salvador, was knowledgeable of the nature and cultural history of the Centoes we visited. Additionally, he was really enjoyable to spend the afternoon with! On our final days, there was a beach party with a DJ and the morning of our early departure there was the Spring Solstice sunrise meditation event. It was breathtaking to observe and enjoy the music and cultural event. The staff was thoughtful to ensure we received a meal for our first leg of our departure to the airport although Moro, the restaurant was not open for breakfast at the time we were leaving. We were offered a few options and it was delivered to us at the time of us doing our final check out. Overall, the entire process from logistics of reserving the travel and the experience at Habitas was really incredible. Tulum is definitely expanding and there is considerable consequences to the environment that are not without notice as a visitor; that said, there were thoughtful details of eliminating single use plastics at the resort, learning they compost food materials and source ingredients from sustainable suppliers was noticed.
Dear Stacey, Thank you for joining our family and taking the time to share your feedback with us. We sincerely appreciate your support and consideration. It was a pleasure to host you, and we’re looking forward to creating new memories with you soon. With love, Habitas

Absolutely perfect for a beach club experience
Where to begin? We had a magical day at Habitas. We went for the beach club, and despite being a bit sticker shocked when first told about the minimum consumption fee, the experience was well worth the money. The we received service was exceptional from everyone. I felt welcomed in the space, despite the fact that I was only there for a day. The food is health conscious and quite tasty, with fun cocktails if you're feeling a little naughty. It was some of the best food that we had during our time at Tulum. Unlike some hotels, which seriously restricted where beach club visitors could sit vs. hotel guests, we were allowed to sit basically anywhere we wished. The beach was beautiful and tranquil, without the stream of ambling beach walkers that you might expect at hotels further down on the beach. I might have to save up my coins, but I would definitely return to Habitas for their beach club.
¡Hola! Thank you for sharing your kind comments. We are so glad that you have enjoyed our services as our facilities. Also we are very thankfull knowing that you have connected with our vibe and escence. Hopefully in the near future you can stay at our home to live the full Habitas experience. Please comeback! Love, Your Habitas Family

If you want a very unique vacation experience focused on being immersed in nature, wellness, and self-reflection without sacrificing modern luxury, then this is your resort. We loved staying here because Habitas Tulum differentiates itself from the pack - think the antithesis of mega hotel resorts where you get 24-hour room service, loud tourists, swim up bars, and icky cocktails in a plastic cup. At the same time (and I chuckle as I write this...) it's an Instagrammer/ Influencer's delight. You cannot take a bad photo of anything at Habitas Tulum because everything is picture perfect. Service: From the moment we checked the service was exceptional. The restaurant team was phenomenal, friendly, and kind. The wellness staff were amazing - definitely book a treatment. It’s transformative. They use WhatsApp to communicate with you and always checked in daily and responded to inquiries quickly. Activities: Definitely plan your day around the complimentary activities. We loved how the activities were closely tied to learning more about Mayan culture. We especially enjoyed the sound journey and it was exactly what you’d expect - a relaxing journey with native sounds, scents, and healing energy. We loved every minute of it. The beach is beautiful, well maintained quiet, and private. We were lucky that the first few days were the calmest so it felt heavenly to float in the crystal clear waters. You can enjoy laying near the beach and seeing the colours of the sunset change over the sky and ocean. Simply breathtaking! Food: Moro is a phenomenal restaurant - you could eat there all day every day and walk away happy every time. All the food was fresh, delicious and presented with flair. The house cocktails are creative, vibrant and light. I loved trying a taste of different local spirits in the cocktails (never too boozy which is what I prefer). The bar can make pretty much any cocktail you ask for if you prefer something that’s not on their house cocktail menu. I also enjoyed the elixirs during the day - the Green and Ayurvedic were my favourites. The food menu can change based on what is fresh and available which means there is a lot of variety. My favourite dishes were: Breakfast: Mayan eggs, avocado toast, seasonal fruit plate and ginger yogurt Lunch: Shrimp aguachile, fish tacos, steak tacos and guacamole (try the spicy habanero sauce) Dinner: Catch of the day, octopus, shrimp, rack of lamb, skirt steak, and short rib My off-resort suggestion is Hartwood. It was exceptional and a must visit. Accommodations: We had the joy of staying in the pool room and the ocean front room. We agree with the other reviewers that the ocean front room is the way to go. Especially because it’s a touch nicer and you can hear the sound of the waves gently coming ashore (not too loud and definitely puts you to sleep at night). Every room has wifi, sliding glass doors, and an air conditioner so it’s not like you’re exposed to extreme heat or other elements. That is where the modern touches of the resort really help you stay comfortable even though you’re in an actual tent with a thatched roof. I loved the outdoor showers and body products as well. While our pool room was lovely, temperature wise a lot cooler due to the trees providing shade, and quieter, the outdoor spaces behind the room vary compared to the photos on the site because our room didn’t have a hammock in the back. This isn't a critisicm - it's just something to consider when you book to set expectations. I’m really splitting hairs here when I write that because the design / intent of the rooms are exactly what they are supposed to be - lush luxury that feels aligned with the natural elements. Note: There is a high chance you’ll see bugs, lizards, snails, monkeys, and racoons. Don’t let that deter you from booking though. It’s part of the joy of the experience. Transport: We booked round trip airport service - suggest you do this as well and well worth it. Everything you would want to explore in Tulum is really close to the resort so you don’t feel like you’re having to sacrifice time relaxing by the beach to go site seeing or sampling other local restaurants. There are taxis waiting in front of the resort that will take you wherever you want to go around Tulum. There are also complimentary bikes and a scooter rental that they can arrange. We took taxis and felt that worked best for what we were into doing. Misc things: Bring local currency in cash, bug spray, and reef friendly sunscreen - though they will graciously let you use their bug spray if you need it and there is free sunscreen available near the beach and pool. Download WhatsApp in advance of booking if you don’t use it already. Plenty of complimentary purified water is provided in every room. Plenty of towels are provided by the beach. Grocery stores / mini markets are nearby in case you need to buy snacks, drinks or essentials. We were there during the rainy season and it was fantastic even with the occasional downpour. Rain passes by quickly so it doesn’t hinder the fun in the sun.

We had an amazing stay here! We particularly loved the seclusion and jungle feel as well as the upscale "glamping" vibe. You can easily ride into Tulum or walk down the street to the other hotels/restaurants if you feel the need to explore. The hotel will also book excursions - we had a great time swimming with turtles and in the cenotes. The staff were all spectacular - specifically Alex, Carlos, and Eduardo. They were super attentive and made sure we had a relaxing, fun stay. The food at the restaurant was a huge highlight for us - probably the best part of the stay, which we were not expecting. Overall, great stay which made us feel relaxed, but also provided fun when we needed it!

Absolutely extraordinary experience. Everything was heavenly. The property is gorgeous and laid out beautifully. The food is delicious, every meal and nuance on the menu - wonderful. The service at the restaurant from sun up until late night was perfect. Claudio, Angel and Alexis went above and beyond to provide perfect and warm service. Everyone connected to the hotel and restaurant were fantastic, kind, knowledgeable, lovely and understated and fun. As a solo female traveler, I am beyond grateful for the warmth and safety I felt simply everywhere. The wellness center offerings are superb as were the services and the amazing ladies who preside. Among the best massages and functional medicine support I've received anywhere. And the hospitality staff at reception were above and beyond amazing. Barbara, Stefany, Eva, and Julio each went out of their way at different times to provide me with spectacular service, support, recommendations, adding to the comfort of my stay. I am grateful to each one. The night auditor Ruben was also wonderful at his job. I truly felt like family from the moment I entered the property. I stayed in two rooms over 8 days (to give myself two experiences), the jungle pool and the beachfront room - both heavenly in every way. Nice to have unlimited filtered water in your room when the hotel world usually goes out of its way to charge for water. So many lovely touches. I will be back here as soon as I can and I look forward to staying at other Habitas properties. This was truly one of the most spectacular (if not the most) experiences I have had at a resort and I've stayed all over the planet. I chose Habitas because of the reviews. And it is with deep gratitude that I leave this review (I don't often leave them). I came to Mexico last minute for some deeply needed r & r and Habitas exceeded my expectations. G r a t e f u l.

We stayed in the Double with pool at Our Habitas Tulum in early June. The hotel is located on a secluded part of a beach at the entrance to the Tulum beach and is about 2 hours drive from Cancun airport. As a whole, it was an OK experience but probably the hotel had seen its better days some time ago and felt old/tired. For the money they charge, there are now much nicer and newer options available. The beach and pool area of the hotel is nice but no shade/umbrellas are available and so one is constantly looking for a bit of shade as it gets hot very early. On Sunday they turn the hotel into a disco from midday until the evening (7 pm). The place fills up with outsiders, with very loud music blaring. So don't count on having any peace and quiet if you are there on Sundays. (They should inform hotel guests of Sunday disco when making reservations.) The personnel were nice but as a whole, the experience was at best a 3/5.

Came here for a relaxing honeymoon and it was exactly that! Moro was the best food we had the whole week, and the service was excellent. We loved Roger and all the staff were very friendly and hospitable. Had the most relaxing massages and the entire wellness area felt like pure bliss. We stayed in a pool room and would recommend if you’re looking for more of a quiet peaceful space away from things. Would definitely stay here again, thank you so much for having us!!!
