We stayed at Habitas for 1 week! It was the most relaxing experience!! The hotel is absolutely beautiful, super chill and the staff is amazing. We loved the restaurant - we just wished they had more variety at their dinner menu, but other than that everything was perfect! Also loved that the umbrellas etc were not at an extra charge, it was more chill than other places I've stayed at in Tulum
The spacious hotel tents are equipped with a fridge and airco, and gorgeous outdoor showers, for that perfect safari vibe. The breakfast at the Habitas restaurant is wonderful. No boring or predictable buffet here, only original dishes with healthy wholesome food. Plus: Ayurveda and other juices and smoothies too. The staff are all very professional yet also very warm at making you feel welcome and appreciated. (If I could make one suggestion it would be to have name tags, because there are so many waiters working here.)
From the guest experience team to the El Moro staff, to wellness instructors to the beautiful jungle that this hotel is situated at, I couldn't have asked for a better "retreat". I leave tomorrow after 4 full days here, I must say it is bittersweet. Everyone has been accommodating and has made me feel welcome. It is not often I can go to a place and just remove my hearing aids for the whole time and feel lonely. I'm so grateful. The site is beautiful. I love the jungle and feel at home with the vegetation. It's eye candy for me. Outdoor showers are the best, FYI. I learned that this Habitats family have their brand in different locations. You can bet I will visit again. Thank you!
Went to Tulum from August 12th to the 17th. I had been wanting to visit Habitas for years ever since I heard it opened up in Tulum. And it did not disappoint!! Upon arriving at the resort you are greeted by the front desk who welcome you with open arms! I was lucky to work with both Luz and Morgane during my time there. They were extremely helpful and made sure your experience was nothing short of amazing!!! I highly recommend anyone even considering visiting Tulum to check this place out. And thank you so much to Luz and Morgane along with the rest of the staff in my making my time while there just amazing!!!
It is a long review but I definitely recommend you to read before booking, if I had read something similar before my travel, I would not have stayed there. My overall experience in this hotel was way negative. In order to be fair, I will mention both positive and negative aspects. POSITIVE Good location, beautiful beach front property very well kept, with a very unique vibe. Outdoor areas are great, and the swimming pool is very relaxing Nice restaurant offering high quality food and drinks Employees in general are great, all of them always very kind with a smile in their face, doing everything to provide you the best service NEGATIVE Wi-fi did not work in my room, had to spent USD 50 buying a local sim card (I am a heavy user of streaming) Amenities items are not replaced, had to beg for soap bar and shampoo reposition more than once Parking is outside the hotel, in the street. There is no sidewalk and during the night there is no public light, so you have to walk literally in the same place cars are running (certain risk of being ran over or robbed). For a hotel with this price I expected at least a valet service. Now, the icing on the cake…I arrived there on Dec 03rd 2021, on Dec 05th 2021 after returning from a day in the swimming pool I realized that all my money was gone, aproximately USD 3.200 was missing from my room’s safe (it was proper locked by me before I left the room). Considering that there was no sign of breaking in in the room or in the safe, there is no way not to think that the robbery was committed by one of the employees. I reported immediately the robbery to the hotel, and they started the necessary procedures (I lost my whole Sunday night due to this, night when I had reservation to have dinner and party in a very nice club there). I ended up the night eating a burger and fries in a food truck. (DID NOT RECEIVE ANY REFUND FROM THE HOTEL REGARDING THIS LOST NIGHT, I PAID APROX USD 400/NIGHT) Next day I had to go to the police station, and again lost good hours of a nice sunny Monday afternoon there (DID NOT RECEIVE ANY REFUND FROM THE HOTEL REGARDING THIS LOST AFTERNOON, I PAID APROX USD 400/NIGHT) My credit cards were not stolen, but as they were all inside the safe too, I was advised by my bank manager to cancel all of them, for security reasons. Tulum is a very very expensive place, so you could imagine the nightmare my last 6 days there were without cash and my credit cards, I lost hours in the phone with my bank manager trying to enable my debit cards and increase the daily limits (DID NOT RECEIVE ANY SUPPORT FROM THE HOTEL, THEY DID NOT EVEN ASK ME IF I NEEDED ANY ASSISTANCE). Additional to the daily hell to withdraw money, my nights literally turned into nightmares, with me and my girlfriend feeling very unsafe and waking up many times during the nights when hearing any outside noises from wind, rain, small animals etc. The hotel has serious security issues. There is no security camera system covering the rooms areas, the property’s fences are made of straw, with a series of holes that allow anyone to enter very easily, the outdoor shower is nice, but the door lock is very fragile, in my room the lock opened by itself with the door weight. The glamping concept is very nice (rooms are fancy tents) but I felt completely unsafe there. I planned this trip, booked the hotel and made a full payment in cash with 4 months in advance, and went there with a very high expectation of having relaxing days, but unfortunately HABITAS totally ruined my holidays, I would never return to this hotel and based on my experience definetely do not recommend you to stay there, certainly for USD 400/night you will find better and safer options. The hotel offered me a deal, refund the full amount without putting the insurance company in the process, saying that this way I would get the refund faster. For my sad surprise, a very simple international transfer, that should take no longer than 5 minutes to be made in any computer or smartphone, demanded me daily calls and messages, each message being responded by them with totally imprecise informations, each day with a different promised refund date followed by excuses. I finally got a full refund of USD 3.200 (special thanks to manager Manuel who helped me a lot) from the hotel, 26 days after the robbery (had a loss of USD 215 because of exchange rate). Although the refund covers great part of the financial loss, the emotional damage, stress and huge frustration of having your vacation being destroyed cannot be repaired. Look for “robbery Habitas Tulum” and you will find other cases.…
I came here with my cousin to celebrate my birthday, and had no idea how taken I would be with this entire experience! Even from booking. Located on an idyllic strip of beachfront Tulum, this place is magic. Many restaurants and places to dance near by, I was very pleased and quite surprised. They introduce you to the property with a ceremony; burning Opal, connecting you with whomever you are traveling, and welcoming you to your new home... welcoming you as a family. We were greeted by Barbie, who was part of the reception team. An unbelievable and warm human, giving us nothing but incredible recommendations the entire time. Things to do around Tulum, and at the resort itself. Very 5 star experience. From the super luxurious and private huts with outdoor showers and bathrooms, to the restaurant that had live music many nights and incredible food, to the infinity pool overlooking the ocean. Everything was amazing, and the service and cleanliness of the resort made it all an absolute win! This experience is the trip of a lifetime, and I look forward to coming back…
From the very first moment you enter the property you disconnect from the outside world. Habitas Tulum is perfectly located just a few steps away from Tulum's famous archeological site and is the perfect place to disconnect from the daily stress of our lives. The hotel invites you to recharge energy through an extensive wellness programming and a delicious and innovative organic cuisine. The service is also wonderful. All the staff makes you feel that you are part of the family and it is like staying at your friend's house. If you plan to discover Tulum in a relaxing mode, I would definitely recommend to stay at Habitas Tulum.
This place is a dream!! The minute you arrive you are whisked away into a new world in the jungle. They have thought about everything and kept to their core values of sustainability and wellness - they have thought of everything from the organic big spray, to being 100% paperless even the checks are signed on an iPad - the rooms are huge and have really big comfy beds and pillows and the shower and facilities are all great - you can totally relax- the activities included were a total highlight of the trip so much variation and you feel like you are at a retreat - such great value it is all included - the staff are all super kind and make you feel like your at “home” and the service was top 5* professional but friendly too - the food was fantastic and organic and fresh - I can’t wait to go back this oasis or calm and luxury and feel totally regenerated after our visit, thank you Habitas!!…
Been there for 6 days as part of my honeymoon trip after reviewing most hotels in Tulum we chose Habitas. To begin with, the staff made our stay very special. They are very prompt and professional. We got the ocean breeze room number 7 and it was fantastic and really clean and comfortable. Staying at Habias Tulum gave us the chance to reconnect with nature while still having a 5 star hotel experience. The restaurant is very nice with a direct ocean view. The location is very close to the main touristic street of Tulum but not in the middle of the crowd. Definitely a great experience.
We used the Habitas beach club as day guests. View was lovely, they had a beach team cleaning up the seaweed however it was a constant build up so the ocean view pool came in very handy! The did reserve this close seating area for guests but wasn’t an issue as lots of other seating options. Food was nice in the restaurant, decor was stylish. We were told we had to have a minimum consumption spend of $100 USD per person but actually wasn’t required once you were in
