We stayed over Thanksgiving had an awesome time. Ezekiel that works the front desk was super helpful to guide us on anything we needed. Great rooms, delicious restaurant with an ocean view, and awsome spa service!

My wife and I had the pleasure of spending 8 nights here to celebrate her birthday, and our elopement. Ezekiel and the rest of the staff here went ABOVE AND BEYOND making us feel like guests of honor there. We celebrated our wedding with a wonderful dinner at the top deck over looking the ocean and cove and it was fully decorated and incredibly intimate. Best massages we have both ever experienced. The food and drinks at Mina next door were fantastic and we would simply text the hotel our order and they would always promptly deliver our order perfectly! We even had to spend an unexpected night due to a hurricane and we felt safe and reassured the entire time. We will 100% stay again and refer all friends!

We LOVED Maria Del Mar- this hotel made our vacation absolutely amazing. First of all the, the staff and the service are excellent. They are extremely friendly, helpful, and patient. They helped us book trips, get taxis, gave us information, and were always within reach on WhatsApp. We had so much fun with the concierge, front desk attendants and waiters, they always put a smile on our face. Second, our room and the hotel was incredible. The view from our two (that’s right two) balconies was breathtaking. The room was big, clean, beautiful and the air conditioning worked great. I’ll never forget waking up to that view. The hotel restaurant, Mina, was delicious and had a great variety. Don’t miss the swing over the ocean if you stay here- it was another unforgettable moment. I should also note that the hotel staff always went above and beyond to make sure we were safe- they even tracked our taxi to the airport and made sure we got there safely. Everything about this place is perfect and I’m so glad we stayed there. We will be back!

Considering I found Tulum to be extremely overpriced anywhere I went, this hotel had a beautiful property and I was able to fully relax by the pool and on their gorgeous wooden deck overlooking the ocean. I'm having a hard time deciding if it was worth the price however. I booked this hotel over all others because I loved the inlet beach that was unique to this specific hotel. However, the beach was very dirty ( not the hotel's fault) and it wasn't the clear blue waters I expected from some of the photos. Because this is a small inlet, I think a lot of the trash from nearby public beaches ( plastic bottles, straws, bottle caps), gets washed up on this portion of their beach. Needless to say, we didn't use the beach at all and instead had to rent a bike at an additional cost of $10 a day ( I feel like bikes should be a basic amenity to guests included in their stay, especially here where you really have to bike everywhere because there are only a few restaurants in the area) and ride 15 minutes north to Sante Fe public beach ( most beautiful beach though). THE ROOM - It was very clean and had the bare minimum - shampoo, soap, a bottle of filtered water, basic coffee maker, but no mini fridge to store food items. The room was decorated very beautifully and everything was VERY CLEAN. A/C worked GREAT. I feel like any of the rooms would have a nice view as well. My room was on the 1st floor and there was some kind of construction at 7 am every morning which was really annoying but luckily my husband and I were up early anyways to explore so it didn't cut into our sleeping schedule too much. The music at the pool also starts pretty early. The best part about this hotel is the pool and lounging areas. They have a gorgeous multi level deck where you can choose among several spots to tan, read a book, or nap in a hammock. We spent a day just lounging in this area alone, it was wonderful. This was my favorite part about the hotel actually. The staff was extremely kind and friendly. They went above and beyond to give us any information we needed. I would recommend this hotel but would tell travelers to keep in mind all the little additional costs that add up - bikes, beverages, additional toiletries, snacks. Everything in this area is US prices ( like LA, Miami, NY prices..)
