Staff are super friendly and offered good service. My friends and I especially loved the hostess who works at night, Guadalupe Diaz Vazquez, she is so lovely and very funny! Food is also really good, we liked that it was different every night. Events are also entertaining but unfortunately because of covid everything does close early, but is definitely worth it. Would totally recommend!

Stayed here with friends for a needed getaway. The grounds were really pretty, and staff were really nice. Our room smelled like mildew. The coatis ( which is an anteater, raccoon looking creature) are over running which totally ruins the experience. You can’t sit out around pool without watching your back. They will take your bags, food and anything else around. They are in hallways looking for room service trays left out ITS JUST SICKENING!!! The monkeys were not quit as bad but they run around jumping on lawn chairs. This could really be a nice place if they could control the animals.

Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time to write your review on TripAdvisor. We regret that your experience at the hotel has not been pleasant. We understand that wildlife can cause inconvenience, we strive to remind guests not to feed or touch the animals in the hotel so that their behaviors are not invasive, remember that they were before us, for the same reason we owe them that respect. Our team works constantly to keep the areas clean and also works to protect the guests and the animals that live around the hotel. Greetings.

I got the platinum suite but the bell boys directed me to the regular check in opposed to the “private” check in that was promised in the package. When asked about why we didnt get a private check in, their response was “due to covid”. But doesnt it make more sense to actually do the private check in than stand on a line with a ton of other people due to covid. The extra perks stated in the platinum package are all lies, you would think you’re paying extra for great service and attentiveness. WRONG. Dont expect the “special dinner” they promised in your package. They are very adamant about 3pm being check in so we were early and decided to grab some lunch while waiting. The buffet was not impressive at all, everything was all dry or empty and not refilled. The waiter “helping us” came to bring us one drink but never checked on us after that. Now that we got to our room, the baby crib provided for my child was filthy, stains all over the side and mold on all sides of the cloth railing. If you wouldnt put your child in this why would you offer it to someone else. So thats already unacceptable. 2nd, the outdoor hot tub had dirt and bird droppings ALL OVER. I understand nature happens but at least make sure the room is presentable to the guest before they walk in. We called the front desk to voice our opinions and then they switched us to another room down the hall. They made sure this room was clean but there was ONE MAJOR PROBLEM. Its 90 degree mexican heat and humidity and they put us in a room with a broken AC. They sent 2 mechanics to work on it and they werent able to fix it and they had my son and I sit in the hot room with no air until almost midnight. Complete TORTURE. When we were waiting for hours for them to find yet another room for us and this time it was out of our hands for the room change. They also had the audacity to bring us to another room that was already occupied by another family. Finally my husband had the last straw and went to talk someone for the 5th time and asked whats going on ?! So finally we were brought to our new upgraded room which is beautiful. Its midnight and none of us had eaten since we got a bite from earlier and all that wait made us miss the show i really wanted to watch and dinner. Now for the new room. The outdoor hot tub doesnt work. And there were open sodas in the fridge. 2nd day there was a bartender at the bar in the main square where they play live music- well we wanted redbull and well aware its an extra cost. He proceeded to let u know its not included. And we said ok. And asked for it 2x, and each time he replied its not included. And we asked for it one more time and this time he decided to yell at us “ITS NOT INCLUDED!!” Excuse me? Is this the type of service that is acceptable to be provided to paying guests. He decided to simmer down once we gave him a piece of our mind too since thats the norm here with the workers. Maria and Rebecca at the la hacienda restaurant were the only 2 of the 4 waiters we have encountered in these last 9 days that gave us good customer service which is extremely sad. And everyone does the complete bare minimum. You pay much more for “platinum” service but the concierges in the platinum lobby have no common sense or care at all. Expect to be greeted with attitude and cluelessness. Our room attendant Rafael and the other gentleman that covered for him on his days off that cleans our room everyday and night are superb- always clean towels and clean room and completely spotless- thank you for always making our home for this past week something positive, we really appreciated the care you guys put into the room. Manuel and Miguel from the Miso Thai restaurant provided us with excellent service. Very attentive and courteous and made sure we had everything we needed. But this is our 3rd and last time here. Never again. We shouldnt be treated like children and felt very unimportant to like this place. Every guest should feel welcomed and should be able to enjoy their vacation we all worked very hard for. It was quite embarrassing because I planned my husband’s birthday trip here and flew out all his friends as a surprise and everyone hated their experience.

My name is Philip and my wife and I have the privilege to do a lot of traveling. In our last trip (just got back) from the Quintana Roo Mx we stayed at 5 different All inclusive resorts. We did this so we could compare them. We stayed a total of about 3 week. That said please understand we are not being paid in anyway to write this and it is an honest assessment. My only gain is to help other travelers. That said I like the facility my 2nd favorite and the food was my 2nd favorite. It was my favorite for the price. The only one I like better was $250 more per night. Likes: The pool is excellent and it is very well taken care of. The food was very good. Both the buffet and the private restaurants were exceptional. The room was very comfortable. The beds are new. They are changed out every year or less. Shower is hot which is unusual. In most places the water gets warm at best and not very much of it. The entertainment was also very good. At Sandos Playa the water was cool and barely dripped out of the shower head. Not good. Not enjoyable. Not recommended. Service was excellent and we will go back here again. Next year we will be going the other direction to Nova Scotia and Greenland. Happy Travels to each and everyone. Be safe.
