We have stayed at the rosewood for about half a dozen times. It is one of our favourite hotel in the world . Immaculate service unbeatable location ultra comfy rooms .. what makes it special is the Personnal touch - almost all staff members say hello are friendly and helpful . The latest relaxed lounge / restaurant Zatote is a welcome addition, Not cheap but priced to perfection.
Such a unique place in a special setting! We were wowed from the moment we stepped foot onto the resort and traveled to our bungalow down the picturesque lagoon… we saw adorable turtles and heard beautiful birds calling - it’s almost easy to forget how close the ocean is and all of the beauty that goes along with the beach, when surrounded by such a lush jungle environment; truly the best of all worlds when it comes to grounds of this resort! Colorful & fragrant flowers, natural stone, gorgeous architecture and an overall design aesthetic that is cohesive, natural, clean and beautiful. This was my third time visiting and I will be returning many more times! In addition to the beautiful surroundings - the service is bar none! The staff not only anticipate every one of your needs, but they do an amazing job at anticipating your wants, as well (with small touches like placing a cool bookmark in the books you leave out or leaving a lens cloth by your sunglasses)! Communicating with your butlers via the app was easy and they always met us during the day to check in. The food is perfectly plated and incredibly delicious and we felt educated about the origins of each item. La Ceiba was especially fantastic and definitely an ‘experience’, not simply a meal. I will truly remember that night as one of the best meals of my life and a very special evening - definitely worth the price!…
Top 5 resorts I have ever been too. Place is amazing. Attention to detail. Food was great. Staff was great. They were great with kids. The rooms are very nice and very clean. I would highly recommend this resort.
This hotel provides a luxury experience from the moment you exit the airport until you enter the security line at the airport at departure. Our airport guide even advised us on which security line was moving fastest that day. Every detail of this place is well thought out. Our room was lovely and large enough for our family. I believe all the rooms are large so you cannot go wrong. The plunge pool that each room has is such a nice bonus. The facilities are well kept and the boat ride to your room upon arrival is charming (similar to four seasons bora bora). However, many hotels have nice rooms and amenities, what sets this property apart is the service. We have been lucky enough to visit many fine hotels and resorts around the world and this hotel has the best service we have ever experienced. Each room has a butter, and our butter Marimar, took great care of us. She ensued all our needs were met (and exceeded). This hotel seems to have a unique approach to staff and treat the staff like family and this in turns lead the staff to take great pride at excelling at their work. You could tell the employees were passionate about doing a good job. It was a novel experience. There are also tons of thoughtful touches like providing us with monogrammed pillowcases, post-sun lotion, welcome drinks and snacks and toys for our children. Each day a new surprise awaited us in our room. I also thought the food was good and there were many restaurants to chose from both at the Rosewood and the three other hotels in the Mayakoa secure complex. They also had a nice kids club and can arrange babysitting services. The babysitter was so nice my kids asked if she could come back every night.…
I don’t even know where to start - everything was so incredible! The moment we arrived we felt like we were at home. Once everything was complete at the reception desk we were taken by boat to our Villa which was such a lovely experience! Accommodation: We booked the Rooftop Ocean View Suite and my goodness, it was worth it. The interior design is spot on and there is so much living space both inside and out. Food: Every meal was incredible. Highly recommend the Yucatan Poached Eggs at breakfast and Shrimp “TJ” Style Tacos at Aqui Me Quedo down by the beach. Pools: Very well kept and clean. We only used the pools in the adult section along with our own pool and loved both. Beach: Beautiful. A bit of seaweed but nothing worth fussing over. They do a great job at keeping the beach clean. For the kiddos: While we decided to be selfish and leave our kids at home we could very quickly see that the Rosewood is a fantastic place for kids of all ages. Spa: The spa was an unexpected surprise. As guests of the hotel, you have complimentary access to the steam shower, sauna, cold plunge pool, relaxation pool and outdoor pool at the spa. The spa team goes above and beyond to ensure the experience is most enjoyable. I cannot recommend trying this experience out at least once during your stay. Butler(s): We will forever be grateful for Gabriel, Johana and Gabriela who were always there to ensure we had what we needed. We loved running into them during the day and chatting together and truly look forward to seeing them again. An extra thank you to Gabriel who knew we were celebrating just getting engaged and left a lovely amenity and card in our room! We would both highly recommend staying at Rosewood and are already planning our second trip back!…
The attention to detail and the level of service we received was beyond 5 stars. This trip was for three lifelong friends to celebrate our milestone birthdays and it is a trip that we will be talking about for a very long time. It is very obvious that Rosewood takes great care of their team members because it shows in all they do for the guests! The food was so amazing that we never left the resort to dine at the other three resorts in Mayakoba. I have personally stayed at two other Rosewood properties (Little Dix Bay and the former Caneel Bay) and this resort is 2nd to none. Our room upgrade was unexpected and a great treat! Champagne O'Clock with complimentary Veuve...brilliant! Ramon, our butler was always professional yet very attentive and made sure we were set up for success in all endeavors. I was very impressed that the welcome tray of treats in our room had been prepared with my food allergies in mind. I am allergic to cilantro so I was very nervous about the dining part of my trip. Silvia, our guest relations manager was just delightful and just so thoughtful. She did extras things to make our birthdays fabulous that were very much appreciated. Daniel, who was part of the pool crew team, faithfully ensured that we had the appropriate shade at the beach pool each of the 4 days we were there. On one occasion, I noticed Daniel moving my umbrella while I was in the pool b/c he noticed the sun had started to shine on my chair. And he moved it without me asking because he knew I did not want to get any sun. Bravo! Daniel, member of the pool wait staff - always waited on us with a cheerful smile. Our beverages and food arrived very quickly. He was very attentive to what we might need. Our stay was an amazing experience from beginning to end. Bravo! Bravo!…
I was really hesitant to return to the Riviera Maya. The seaweed did me over in 2018. Granted, we stayed at the Andaz and obviously it does not compare to the RW, but still... I decided to book our summer trip here with the kids. I booked the three bedroom residence. The residence is absolutely incredible. It is the best residence/ hotel we have ever stayed in. It was a three level, three bedroom suite and I just loved every minute of it. It was located in residence row as our butler called it. I think the disconnect came with the lack of service comparing it to the price. I think, that if I had booked a standard room, (aka, a less expensive room) my review wouldve been 5 stars. The problem here is- when you spend so much per night ($4,500 per night to be exact) you expect perfection. And when the hotel doesn't deliver, it just lacks. There were a number of little things, but one of the big ones was that the hotel over charged us by $8,800.00. They did apologize and told us that the refund would be issued in 11 business days. After 11 business days had passed, we noticed that no refund had been issued. I contacted the resort within a span of 2 days. After 2 days, they finally got back to me and apologized and said that it will take another 7 days to issue a refund. For me, I think... that's a lot of money for a hotel, of this caliber, to be nonchalant about. They did apologize and tell me that they did need approval from management. But still - it didn't sit well with me and my husband.…
I loved grand velas book now!! Best part was my butler Jerinimo was amazing !! He made sure everything was perfectly set up and he’ll me schedule everything. Talk about above and beyond . He set my room up with balloons for my friend bday and he laid rose petals
The Rosewood Mayakoba is my favorite hotel in the world. And on a recent visit, they made sure they would never be knocked off that top perch. It was my birthday and the staff went all out to ensure that my friends and I would have a great time. And despite providing a feeling of total care, they never intruded on our peace.
Where do I begin? We just got back from our very first stay at this incredible resort. The service is top notch! One night while taking a boat to Saffron my purse dumped out into the lagoon. The driver of the boat went back to Rosewood to get someone to dive down to get it. My phone sat on the bottom of the lagoon for 45 min and it still works! The next incredible gesture was when they hand delivered a new insulin pen for my husband since his sunk to the bottom of the lagoon as well. Now that is world class service! I’d highly recommend the snorkel trip through the Mayakoba Dive Center. It’s only $79 usd and was amazing! We enjoyed the gym and spa facilities every day and had the best massages we’ve ever had. I looked forward to returning to the room every night to smell the amazing oil that was diffusing. I loved it so much I bought some. The housekeepers were top notch and thought I’d everything including putting a book mark in my book. The only negative thing I can say is that we were expecting turquoise water which is why we bit the bullet and paid much more for a beachfront suite. The seaweed has hit this area bad although they do a good job of trying to remove it every day. Our butlers were amazing.. Daniel and Xanath Sergio gave us amazing beach service We can’t wait to go back to this world class resort!…
