We've been to Rosewood Mayakoba several times and they never fail to impress us. Their service is just impeccable. Food quality is fantastic, and we always feel every penny we pay is absolutely worth it. Keep up the good job!
Such a unique place in a special setting! We were wowed from the moment we stepped foot onto the resort and traveled to our bungalow down the picturesque lagoon… we saw adorable turtles and heard beautiful birds calling - it’s almost easy to forget how close the ocean is and all of the beauty that goes along with the beach, when surrounded by such a lush jungle environment; truly the best of all worlds when it comes to grounds of this resort! Colorful & fragrant flowers, natural stone, gorgeous architecture and an overall design aesthetic that is cohesive, natural, clean and beautiful. This was my third time visiting and I will be returning many more times! In addition to the beautiful surroundings - the service is bar none! The staff not only anticipate every one of your needs, but they do an amazing job at anticipating your wants, as well (with small touches like placing a cool bookmark in the books you leave out or leaving a lens cloth by your sunglasses)! Communicating with your butlers via the app was easy and they always met us during the day to check in. The food is perfectly plated and incredibly delicious and we felt educated about the origins of each item. La Ceiba was especially fantastic and definitely an ‘experience’, not simply a meal. I will truly remember that night as one of the best meals of my life and a very special evening - definitely worth the price!…
We just returned from 4 nights at this property. It lived up to every expectation and 5 star review that I read. The rooms are extremely spacious. The food is fabulous. The grounds are beautiful. What sets this place apart from any other resort I have been to is the service and attention to detail. Everyday it was something else that took me by surprise that just made the trip that much better. I played golf one day and came back to the room after dinner to find my golf shoes had been shined and they left some skin care product for sun burn with a personalized note on it. Just one example of a hundred I could give. We are already counting the days until we return.
Rosewood is our home away from home. We always have a luxe and relaxing vacation. The service is impececcable. The food is amazing. The attention to detail is unmatched. The accomodations are luxurious. Thank you!!
It was wonderful to finally return to our home & our "family" at Myokoba. Staff worked hard to meet our every need. We plan on getting back to our favorite location soon. The staff anticipated what we would enjoy before we could ask for assistance.
This review is long overdue. My husband, two children (ages 3 and 4) and I stayed at Rosewood Mayakoba for a week in the beginning of March. From the minute we stepped foot onto this beautiful property, the Resort Managing Director Daniel, Resort Manager Mariajose, our Butlers Frank and Xanath as well as a number of other staff members ranging from Golf Cart Drivers, Pool Waiters to Kids’ Club Employees, ensured that each of us (including our children) were treated with so much care and attention. Although Rosewood Mayakoba is a sprawling resort, the genuinely warm staff made us feel like we were in a small, quaint town in Mexico, where we were greeted with smiles – and by the middle/end of our stay – greeted by name. While attending the special and highly recommended farm-to-table, prix fixe La Ceiba dinner (with flowing wine, mezcal and/or tequila), members of senior management mentioned that they want guests to feel like Rosewood Mayakoba is a home away from home and that the staff is an extension of family. They deserve all the praise for creating an environment that reflects those sentiments. No wonder so many guests we met during our stay were repeat customers. In addition to the accommodating, unmatched service, the food throughout the resort was phenomenal. Having lived in Mexico, I appreciated that the resort didn’t shy away from the rich, wonderful flavors of authentic Mexican cuisine. Finally, the grounds were immaculate and majestic. I loved the juxtaposition of the beauty of the lagoon and the beauty of the powdery white sand beaches along the Caribbean Sea’s clear blue water. Our time at Rosewood Mayakoba exemplified relaxed luxury. If you are considering a high-end resort that caters to you as a couple or as a family, I highly recommend Rosewood Mayakoba. It’s a special place. It’s worth the splurge, and we plan to return. Thank you again.…
Rosewood is incredible in every way. We stayed in a lagoon over water suite and received transportation by boat a few times which was so fun. I woke up every morning and watched a family of turtles swim outside our room. The housekeeping team is AMAZING, they think of everything, they leave eyeglass cleaning wipes by your sunglasses, put bookmarks in your book, change out to the coffee to what they notice you prefer. My husband and I loved riding the beach cruisers parked outside our suite to the beach, pool and restaurants, but golf carts come quick when you aren’t in the mood. The beach attendants are so nice, they bring you bottled water, complimentary bites to eat and cocktails and our favorite meals were there. You MUST try the shrimp tacos from Aqui me Quedo, we also loved the tuna tostada and believe it or not, they had a great burger. I loved that they served my wine on the beach with cubes of ice made of the same wine! Luxury at it’s finest. Each morning we loved the Mexican breakfasts- chilaquiles, Mexican poached eggs were our favorites. Our favorite dinner was at Agave de Azul but we also had dinner at Banyan Tree Saffron (like Agave Azul better), Cello (get the charcuterie board!). I honestly can’t say enough good things, it’s obviously an expensive place to stay but they go above and beyond to exceed expectations. If I had to give one critique, I would say it’s a little on the quiet side, no music by the pool really and no real night life, but that was fine with us!…
This resort is beyond excellent. The stunning accommodations, the delicious meals, and most importantly the service is superior! We found no reason to leave the property. All of our needs were meant on property. We will definitely enjoy another visit to the Rosewood Mayakoba soon.
My husband and I just returned from an incredible 3 day stay at the Rosewood Mayakoba where we went to celebrate our anniversary. Rosewood is paradise and we’re still glowing from our trip. Yes, it is expensive but you’re paying for luxury and luxury is what you get. All the staff are incredible and everyone is so friendly. They go above and beyond to ensure every request is met and you feel pampered your entire stay. We booked the private transportation from the airport which I highly recommend, it sets the tone for your stay. We were greeted with cold water, beer and wifi in our luxury Escalade and the driver had an excellent playlist. When we arrived at the hotel we were given the most delicious welcome drink, quickly checked in and then taken by boat to our beautiful deluxe overwater lagoon suite. The trip was a surprise for my husband and he was blown away when he saw where we were staying. Our butlers, Lili and Omar, did everything to make our suite a dream. We dined at Zapote our first night (Tuesday) where they had a bartender from Mexico City (delicious cocktails) and incredibly fun live music. The next day we enjoyed the Kuxtal Sensorial Garden experience a very unique 3 hour spa session that connects you to Mayan traditions. Marta and Nancy took such wonderful care of us and we left feeling completely rejuvenated. That night we went to a pre-fix dinner. When making our reservation a week before I asked that it be passed on that we are vegetarian / vegan and if modifications could be made for our dinner. When we arrived this had apparently not been passed on BUT the chef proceeded to make us a 10 course tasting dinner all vegetarian / vegan on the fly! On that note they have a wide variety of vegetarian / vegan options throughout the property and they are all delicious. Our final day we spent time at each of the pools and beach and continued to enjoy the wonderful hospitality. For our final night we had a private dinner at the cenote which was just spectacular. The ambience was incredible, the food delicious and the service wonderful. Huge thanks to Cynthia who spent a considerable amount of time helping me plan this perfect evening. Throughout the week we enjoyed room service for our breakfasts while we lounged in our private pool and lunches at Punta Bonita (I’m still dreaming about the beer battered avocado tacos). Miguel at Punta Bonita was so kind and took wonderful care of us. It goes without saying we had the absolute best time and can’t wait to go back. Thank you to Amy and Dario from concierge for helping me plan the perfect trip! If you’re looking for a chance to treat yourself look no further than the Rosewood Maykoba!…
The resort is absolutely breathtaking! All the details go above and beyond to make you feel special. The staff is incredibly welcoming and thoughtful. The grounds are spectacular. We loved traveling by golf cart & it’s so fun to see everyone riding bikes. The Rosewood is perfectly appointed without being stuffy. The food is delicious. Our kids had the best time at all the kids club activities. We felt very safe with them with the Mayakoba staff. My husband and I even enjoyed date nights while the kids were at movie night! Our butler went above and beyond to surprise our children with special treats throughout the week. Our ride from the hotel to and fro was seamless and the driver as well as the welcoming committee/department committee was very helpful navigating the airport. We booked again next year while we were checking out! It truly is a very special place and we look forward to coming back as well as visiting other Rosewood hotels…
