Loved, Loved this Hotel Condo Property! The location is right next to the Beach,at the end of Calle 38. Condo 102 was on the first floor and the condo opened up to one of the two pools this hotel has on the property. The second pool is an infinity pool and overlooks the beach. The condo has a kitchen large living room and a dining area. the bedroom has a king-size bed, bathroom very nice! Everyone from our host Rolando to Mario, Omar, and Hannah all super professional and polite. Hope to come back in December.
Apartment smell due to humidity problems and it showed it has not been maintained over the years (e.g. oxidation). Additional charges to our credit card were made using our deposit for false claims (cleaning the dishes which we didn’t use at all). Reception was useless. Not recommended at all (Apt. 304)
Date of arrival - November 23, 2019, left early on Nov 27. On arrival we found the condo fast, checked in easily - beautiful area! Then we quickly discovered the poor state of the condo. Mold & mildew in and around the shower and bathroom, most fixtures (taps) heavily corroded. Gum stuck on the side of a night table. Bed comforter stained, damaged. Good AC but no dehumidifier - smelled of mildew... Messaged the owner who said he would send cleaners - never happened. No beach chairs, no umbrella - for a condo almost on the beach?! Table on the deck/balcony was broken - the top was falling off the X-shaped legs. The roof pool is nice, but all the chairs & cushions are tired/dated. The elevator frequently wasn’t operating, and the water was off for most of an afternoon & morning - no showers & buckets of water to ‘flush’ the toilet. We left a day early - couldn’t stand staying any longer. Pictures attached....…
If you want to enjoy Playa del Carmen, his 5th avenue and also be in a quite enviroment, this is a perfect place. Located on 38th street just steps from the beach and 2 minutes from the 5th avenue. Peaceful and quiet. A lot of restaurants nearby. Love it. Recommended 100%.
Seriously the best! The concierge was the most amazing guy, so helpful and gave the best recommendations! Clean, close to the beach, had a great ac unit, kitchen, walking distance to amazing restaurants and bars. Roof top pool was my kids’ favorite, and the view is incredible from it. We had the best time!
Highly recommended! Unit 107 has a lot going for it. A spacious ground-level 1-bed 1-bath unit with a super comfy king-size bed. Access to both pools is easy, and access to amazing beach even faster, only a 1 minute walk. Jorge Aguilar at the front desk made our trip even better, supporting our stay with valuable information about local attractions, transportation, and generally being a great guy.
Rented 306 thru Playa Moments. Great price, smooth check-in, and then... WOW! Apt is very clean and pretty. This unit is on 3rd floor and overlooks the pool and a bit of the west side of the next bldg which is covered in vines and palms. Despite facing SE the balcony was shady and cool and got a nice breeze off the sea. Bedrooms were very quiet although no view. But the best part is THAT PRIVATE ROOFTOP TERRACE AND POOL!! What a surprise! The little pool also faces SE toward the beach with a peekaboo view of the water and a great breeze. And then there’s a separate HUGE terrace with enormous built in sofas and a pergola. Four nice chaise lounges with pads. Flowers and peppers in the landscaping. What more could you ask for? Oh, maybe a large pool and patio area with grill, tables with umbrellas, loungers? Check (central courtyard). How about an ocean view adults only infinity pool with swim up bar (unstaffed) and more loungers and beds? Check. Free parking immediately next to building, with friendly security dudes to keep an eye on things? Check. Free wi-fi? Check. Concierge to recommend outings and restaurants? Check. Convenience store on the ground floor? Check. Casual open air Greek restaurant in the building? Check. Elevator? Check. Plenty of towels including beach towels? Check. Ceiling fans in every room and great A/C? Check. Yes, there are always minor issues with any rental. Water pressure in shower was so-so but not inadequate. No toaster. Wifi required re-login daily. Not a lot of dishware and the like, but hey there are like 50restaurants within a 10 minute walk, so why cook? Bedroom windows open onto common open air hallway- a little odd but they were covered with hurricane shutters anyway so we just ran the A/C at night instead of a cross breeze. Also odd, the entrance to the apt is into the second bedroom instead of a hall or the living room. There is a little construction noise with the project to the west but we could only hear it when up at the pool, and it wasn’t bothersome. No beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. in the unit. The beach is very close (50 yards maybe) but not really usable due to erosion and smelly seaweed. No restrooms at upstairs pool. A table and chairs up on the terrace would be nice. If you expect a kitchen with every conceivable gadget, an unobstructed view, a firehose in the shower, and a perfect beach out your front door, you might be disappointed. If you want a beautiful, safe, quiet and convenient place to relax and enjoy the weather and scenery, within walking distance of great beaches and restaurants, GET THIS CONDO before I come back and rent it for the rest of the year. ;)…
We stayed in penthouse 305 for 1 week. The couch was broken. The reason for picking a penthouse was in order for the kids to get the opportunity to take a swim in their own pool, However, the pump in the pool was broken upon arrival and for the week, we stayed in the condo we were not able to use it. We pointed out the problem, but the process for things to be fixed in this condo is very slow. The pump was not delivered during our stay - unfortunately. The beds were very hard to sleep in. For 3 days I tried to have the reception find a solution. In the end, I had to talk to the housekeeping myself in order to get help. These are not beds suitable for people with a weak back. For the first 2 days, we were not able to get a bath. We had no water in the shower, which also was pointed out. The housekeeping is very nice and makes very nice art with the towels. Highly appreciated when traveling with kids :) The concierge, Lilian, was very helpfull. But those persons were the most positive assets to the service at the establishment. The infinity pool is very nice with the sun mostly all day. Such a shame that this area is not for kids because that is for sure the most beautiful part of this condo hotel. You could consider having this pool open for families in a sudden hours a day. The beach has for a very long period not been accessable from the end of the road. That has - of course - nothing to do with this condo hotel etc. However, it is such a shame, coming to a beautiful beach area which is not exciting. You therefore have to transfer you further down the road for access to the beach. The location is excellent in regards to the city and there is parking just in front of the hotel. Safe and easy. I would wish that the service at this place would be upgraded. Just as I would wish that things would be done in a more sufficient way. This could be a fabulous place for exploring a beautiful area.…
We loved staying at this Condohotel. The condo is very spacious with big bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. They have a very nice rooftop pool. I would splurge for the private pool villa next time. It is very quiet at night. We bought groceries to make breakfast. The location was perfect it was very close to were 5th avenue begins. Beware that there's not much of a beach area to lay out due to erosion. You have to go to a beach club. We didn't mind because we loved hanging out in the pool area.
This is a luxury condo hotel next to the beach and La Quinta Avenida. I highly recommend this hotel, not only because of its location but because of the friendly and super helpful staff. When we arrived, we learned the electricity was out and it would be out for another two hours or so, which meant we were unable to check-in. During that time, Keshi the concierge person gave us a tour of the hotel and recommend a place to eat. When we came back, we learned they had upgraded us to the Penthouse, as a compensation for not being able to check in sooner. WoW! We sure did start off on the right track in Playa. I am so glad we stayed here, our vacation was perfect!!! We could not have asked for a better hotel and location. If you do decide to stay here, please talk with Keshi, he is a superb concierge and guide. He will recommend you the best places to see and where to eat, and the best part you will not have to spend as much as you thought you would. Oh by the way, the penthouse includes your own little pool, so if you can splurge!…
