Pro -The restaurants are close to our room. Cons - No ala carte restaurants open at lunch. Menu selections are poor. Portions are skimpy. Servers need direction. No servers come to check to see if everything is alright. The Maitre'd is no where to be found. Most food is poor to

Negatives: I was a little disappointed at the small beach area but it can't be helped. Also, there was a ton of seaweed when we were there. It was obvious it was a seasonal problem; however, the resort could have done a better job of raking what they could as often as possible.

Would not recommend this hotel I would not call it all inclusive as they charge toi sit outside the restaurants unless you are staying in the premium apartments. During the day drinks are served in plastic cups which is understandable when people are in and out of the pool,

My husband and I went to Tao for the sushi bar. There are three different menus at Tao, each of which you can only get based on where you book your reservation for. There are three hibachi grills that sit ten each, 6-8 4 top tables that serve a dining room menu, and a

This was my second time visiting this resort. It did not disappoint. The check in was smooth, the room was great. The housekeeper was awesome. The groundskeepers worked so hard to keep the grounds beautiful, right down to the girl cleaning the ashtrays. Room service always came

You have a travel concierge that will talk to you the day after your arrival. They will book your return shuttle to the airport. You book all your excursions through them. Do it that way because it’s a lot less hassle and you bypass the regular lineups.

I honestly think it depends on who your neighbors are and perhaps which building your room is in. I did notice that buildings 4 & 5 seemed to have fewer smokers (I believe those swim-out rooms may also be more expensive because the patio furniture looked more high-end than the other blocks). If you really run into problems, I'd suggest you see the concierge in the larger lobby - they were extremely helpful to me during a medical issue we experienced and I'd be willing to bet they'd go to bat for you to change rooms. May isn't high season so the resort probably won't be anywhere near full, so I'd imagine you could switch if need be. Tip: Ask for a room in building 4 or 5 :) Have a wonderful vacation!

Check-in is 3 pm so likely, your room won't be ready until then. But they'll keep your luggage for you - my best advice is to pack stuff to wear to the pool or beach (including flip flops) at the very top of your luggage so you can just quickly take it out, put it in your beach bag, change in one of the bathrooms, and be able to still enjoy the day before you check in.

They have a shuttle that leaves the hotel at 9, 11, 1 and 4. We went on the 9 am and it was 30 mins door to door, but that was during their rush hour, so it may be faster during other times. They charge $4 US per person each way - I'd definitely suggest you take the shuttle over a cab, because it's associated with the hotel. They drop you in a little bus area that is right in the middle of the strip. Take a photo of the outside of the shop so you remember where to come back to for the shuttle back to the hotel! You can definitely NOT walk there - even if you were up for a crazy long walk in the heat, it is not safe. It's a long way on the major road. I heard that this shuttle is FREE for those folks on an Air Canada vacation package (and maybe other packages?) - which we were, but we didn't know this. I can't say if it's true, but def worth asking your on-site rep if you're on an AC package.

"Building one is the quietest. The Canadians hang out in the lowest numbered rooms - farthest from the reception area."
"Call ahead to request a 'quiet' room if you're not keen on party noise."
"just ask if you prefer a quiet room away from the main pool or one right infront of it if you are there to party!"
"If you're a non-smoker, you may prefer a room on the 2nd level"
"If not booking in the platinum side we recommend building 4 (closest to the beach)"
