This isn’t the best place to visit i was disappointed very little bright spots for me to leave. Pro’s: Bryan the waiter at the buffet was outstanding. Diego another outstanding individual i told him my name once and i was address professionally every single time i seen him throughout my stay. The entertainment crew A+ Only key spots for great food Italian restaurant and rodeo grill the rest was just awful. Cons: Lack of beach towels wash cloths was a huge issue throughout our stay not only for the 3 rooms i booked but many customers complained to the concierge about the issue and it was never addressed or fixed house keeping would never replace your used beach towels when they came in to clean an fixed the rooms. Main pool was closed twice because individuals got to wasted at the swim up bar Threw up in the pool everyone had to leave the pool for the day for it to be cleaned I had to change my key card 5 times extremely frustrating my cell phone was nowhere near my keycard for it to deactivate it. Could not enjoy the beach at all for the 7 days i was there seaweed was awful no net to trap seaweed Please really rethink this hotel I don’t want you to experience what i did and many others if you can stay away for this hotel please do so

Spent a week at Yucatan and was pleasantly pleased. This is my 5th visit to Mexico and would rate the hotel and service to be decent and staff try their best to provide the high level of service. The restaurants and Yucatan buffet was on target always. Night Entertainment was good, loved the MJ show. Room Service was good during the day, but no one picked the phone after 5 pm. sports activities at the family portion was better and it is best to head out there. Spa was ok, went to a spa service on the beach outside the resort ,it was better and more accomplished RMT at half the cost.

Stayed here 4 years ago and loved it but what a huge difference this time around. The resort at glance is aesthetically pleasant. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. Check in and Check out was easy. Our room was cleaned daily. Mini bar replenish, Towels replaced with no issues but the resort falls short from being 5 star or to consider itself a high end resort. Not at all! Beach: 1 out 5 stars Although the resort is surrounded by pools. The beach is what we looked forward to but was extremely disappointed, small and full of seaweed. Piles which cause an odor. Unpleasant!! Food: 3 out 5 stars Buffet was decent or low quality, nothing exciting. The restaurant were disappointing with dishes coming warm. Probably reheated-pre made in advance. Had terrible steak at grill restaurant, the meat was cut terrible. Cleanliness: 3 out 5 stars Most public space weren’t maintained. Tore leather seats, tables, carpets always stained and dirty. At one point a used condom was lying on walk way floor. No joke! Entertainment: 3 out 5 stars Typically resort entertainment. Aqua aerobics, Zumba lessons, learn how make animal out of towels, fruit carving, flipping cups, pool volleyball and nightly shows, karaoke etc… The vibe has changed from a relaxing resort, to party vibes. Catering to 18 to 30 year old drunks. Who like to drink, be loud, no cares and consideration that there sharing a public space with others. Party Party Party! Coco bongo staff aggressively selling tickets to nightly parties outside the resort. Definitely a Cancun vibe but no one is here to pay top $$$$ at a adults only, 5 star resort high end, to re live my early twenties. Such a disappointing time and unfortunately we won’t be returning but if you like spend top dollars and hang around a pool for 6 days with Cancun vibes then this is the place. If not, there’s better 5 star, adults only resorts out there’s worth the money. Overall average resort 3 out 5 stars.

This hotel is decent. Room service is way too slow and food comes cold. Not tasty. My BIGGEST issue (which I’m sure is all of Mexico) You all make me sick, making staff wear a mask outside is the blistering heat is not only a DISGRACE it’s DISGUSTING and should be punishable by law. Who’s catching a cold in the 40• heat especially OUTSIDE!!! Loose the masks, treat your staff with dignity

Sometimes you just gotta go with your gut. Before booking I read review after review. We considered several other resorts but at the end of the day we chose this one. We booked a regular room with no extra benefits. Our check-in and check out day was a Wednesday. We arrived a little after 3. No one was checking in so we had no wait! Received our keys and fancy bracelets,a drink from the lobby bar and we were set. My husband had to work all week so he used the free Wi-Fi and had no problems. Lots of negative reviews about the alcohol being watered down... well they must have read those reviews and had a talk with the bartenders because our drinks were great and sometimes a little too great. Food. The buffet was delicious no matter what meal we were eating. Our favorite restaurant was the Italian. We tried others but found ourselves wishing we had just gone to the buffet. We were never able to get in to the hibachi but that's ok since we have it back home. You have access to the neighboring 2 resorts for food and pools too. It's huge with all 3! To eat at the other resorts restaurants we had to make reservations. We chose 3 restaurants but only made the fondue place. It was ok. But a plus, you don't have to dress up you can wear casual clothing. Guys you are required to wear long pants to all the restaurants except for the buffet. We had a spa day for the 4 of us. It felt so good! For 100 minutes, massage and facial, it was around $150. Pools were easy to find seating if before 11. After 11 the go fast. We stayed at the main pool all week and didn't use any others. This was where all the activities throughout the day would happen. Cookouts and games. The beach. 'Tis the season of sargassum so we didn't go. My cons of the resort: the main pool was small for the amount of guests expected to be there. Not enough seating or umbrellas. Since the pool was on the small side the water was very Luke warm, not cool at all. Pool towels. Upon arrival you should have 2 in your room. We were told you are supposed to call in the evening to have 2 clean towels brought to your room. For our week, we received only 1 when we called and was told the rest of the time they were out. Our final day at the pool we received 2 clean towels. Just be sure to keep up with your towels and hang to dry in case they have no clean towels. Really don't have much to complain about. This was a last minute, budget friendly vacay. Would we stay here again? Yes we would if we were searching the same criteria. Our rooms were 4201 and 4203 with a view on the main pool area.

I don’t even know where to begin. I can’t believe this place can be call as a resort . The place is old and run down . There stains and cockroaches in the bathtubs . There holes in the elevators. The wall paint is chipping away . The food is mediocre with low quality . The liquors is cheap and nasty tasting . The staff are rude . Ali the bell boy is great . But When I arrived and check in at 11. Octavio was rude and horrible. It took them over 1 hour to check me in . By the time it is done, it was midnight 12 . The staff were short and rude . I get it . It’s midnight and thunderstorming but I want to get to my room too. When I get to my room . My key doesn’t work but no one come to give me a new one . I have to run down to the front desk to get a new one at midnight in the thunderstorm . And the place is also part of 3 resorts ; grand Riveria , platinum princess and princess Yucatán . But no one told us or inform us of anything . I only find out because they accidentally drop me off at the wrong place in their shuttle . Your bracelets work for all three places . I booked the room. Directly through their website over 1 month ago . I booked two rooms and request for it to be close together and they dont even have rooms ready for us yet when we get there. They have to look through their system and tell me to come check out the room and check back with them the next day to have a room closer to my friends. I tried to talk to the manger and he said it my fault that I choose to check in at midnight . I check in at midnight because my flight landed at 10 pm at night . And he said if I book through Expedia the rooms will be cheaper because they have a partnership with the site . It’s my fault that I paid more directly through their website . Luis is the manager but I think they send me a fake one to talk to .

Everything about this resort was below average. The food, the drinks, the service - everything. The dress code requirements for men are a bit much considering you're on vacation where it's 90 degrees daily. Also sexist - sleeveless ok for women but not men; thong sandals (flip-flops) okay for women but not men, etc., and if the men had on shorts and/or sleeveless shirts, you had to dine outside. The buffet was a joke and always understaffed. Saw a Cirque du Soleil show (incl. dinner) at another resort, and that was the best meal of our stay. Entertainment is isolated in one corner of the resort. Swim-up bar/pool area had one bartender and one server. No TV remote in our room, and we had to call three times to get one sent up. No washcloths, either. Phone calls requesting they be sent up didn't work - had to go down to the front desk to get that handled. Towels were rarely replaced, even though we followed their protocol to get new ones. One beach towel per person for the entire stay - no extras. Mold on loungers by the pool. The lack of alcohol in the drinks was laughable. Might as well have asked for a fruit-flavored slushie. Several of the elevators didn't work. The one that did made so much noise we didn't feel safe riding it. I do not recommend this resort location nor the hotel chain.

Me and my partner have just stayed at the resort for 2 weeks and had the best time ever. I stayed here 6 years ago with my family and loved it. This time I was worried due to so many bad reviews. All I can say is how far from the truth they are. The workers are all so pleasant and hard working. Every timeyou walk past them they would say hello. Room was cleaned everyday and looked immaculate. Never had issue with the beach towels and mini bar was stocked up always. Entertainment was great. The reps were really good (Rodrigo being our favourite). Fun shows, pool party Saturdays and Karaoke on Fridays. Food was delicious. Breakfast was lovely. Rodeo,Bruschetta and Tao was really good. Me and my partner got engaged at the resort and ate at skylight. We paid for the engagement package and was luckily enough to have been given the rooftop to ourselves to enjoy our special moment (service was impeccable). Bar staff work really hard (Emilio is really good) Beach does have a lot of seaweed. There is workers getting rid of most of it everyday but it’s Mother Nature so not a lot can be done. The only fault I do have for this hotel is the coco bongo staff that try force you to buy tickets by the pool. We booked Coco bongo with Best day who the hotel use because we booked all our other excursions with them so for us it was easier. Ini (Inidayana Angarita hurtado) a coco bongo rep came round the pool the next day to sell tickets. We told her we booked with best day and she just kept asking us why and why we would do that when we was thinking with booking with her. We apologised even though we did nothing wrong and she said she felt sorry for us? This made me and my partner feel very uncomfortable afterwards. Any time she walked past us in the pool after that she would ignored us. Thank you Princess for the most amazing holiday. I honestly don’t know how anyone can fault this hotel.

Just got back from here, and wish I’d listened to my head when reading the reviews a couple of months ago, and talked myself out of changing resorts. If you want drunk American party 18-30 -Rock on, you’ll love it, If you want adult relaxation, peace in your quiet pool. Best go elsewhere. We were block 4, and all we got was boom boom all day with club music from 11am. Most of them never left the pool all day, so guess what they were doing. I picked here for 11 pools, bit of a con really, as most are for the swim up rooms! 5 a la carte restaurants, can’t rate the food in any of them really. 14 nights, and we were fed up with it all. Don’t book the TUI trios, she’ll tell you what you want to hear to get your cash, 14hr day at a water park. Wow, far too long, and too many extras to pay for. Pros for the princess, lovely grounds, plenty wildlife, we even saw the monkeys close up. Cons. Old tired room. Don’t go family side, that’s even busier. Don’t expect to put on weight.

The hotel has a great infra-structure to be excellent and i am sure it was at one time. If you havent booked , go somewhere else that is recently opened as they make teh effort to be good . Pros : Good size rooms Plenty of pools Option to be in the noisy party area or quite reserved areas Good buffet Excellent staff in the restaurants and bars Cons: Tired rooms and loads of issues with AC, leaks, general wear tear Food gets boring after a few days very limited menu at the a la carte and its only open from 6 to 10 No outdoor dinning and beach bar shuts at 5 which is teh best time to be at the beach THE CONSIERGE TEAM are horrible and appaling, No customer service skills, expressionless, they make notes but get nothing done. Will neever apologise even when they get things wrong which is a lot. They are the single biggest reason I will never go back. YOu can tell how shallow they are as they only respond to the positive ones but dont give a f*@k about anything negative or try to fix it Avoid at best
