Love this resort ♥️ I will be visiting here anytime I can! No complaints whatsoever! The staff make this resort what it is. From the cleaning staff to management they are wonderful people! Everyone works hard to make it a memorable vacation. Every room I have stayed in have been wonderful!
We stayed at the Riu at Rivera Maya for 6 days and absolutely loved the hotel, the staff was super friendly and extremely helpful. The food was delicious. We ate at 5 of the restaurants in the resort. We went with a group of 12 people and all of us were vegetarians. The chefs went out of way to make food for us. We were there when hurricane grace it hit cancun. The staff were working non stop to make sure the place was safe. You could see the staff cleaning every where. The resort was super clean and hand sanitizers all over. At the buffets you had to sanitizer you enter every single time. The check in staff especially Dennys Salmeron was one of the best. Everyone of speak English and always willing to help. I highly recommend going here!!!
We travelled in family and I can say that it is the best vacation we have had! The attention and service from all in the hotel was awesome! 100% recomendable! You will not need to get out of the hotel for nothing, as everything is included, even parties and daily activities!
My family and I recently stayed here. The property is absolutely beautiful and well-kept. We were very impressed with our suite and the large accompanying balcony. The room was very modern which was nice. The food options were plentiful and we particularly enjoyed the Italian restaurant for dinner. The E-Team was entertaining and we liked the variety of activities. The foam party and silent disco were a huge hit with our group. Every staff member was friendly. We particularly want to thank Victor, the bartender at the main pool, for his outstanding service. Nathaly, the hostess/waitress at the breakfast buffet, always greeted us with a smile. There was a small snafu at check-in, but Roman went above and beyond to rectify it quickly. We would gladly come back to this resort!
The Riu palace did not disappoint. We came here five years ago and the activities, pools, and ocean, are mor beautiful now as they were before. The hotels accommodations were sparkling clean. The staff went out of the way to meet our every need. Joel and the Riu activity staff hosted great games and shows every morning and afternoon (yoga, dance, water aerobics, and skills competitions). I’m picky and found that this is the most ‘clean’ and inviting place we’ve ever traveled to. The grounds are immaculate and there’s several pools are pristine. The Friday night ‘white out’ and ‘neon night’ was appreciated by my teenagers. We tried to get them to do a day trip ouff campus but there was no reason to leave. Everything was offered here - including a cirque show, There is something to do for everyone from toddlers to adults. We will continue coming to this Riu Palace in years to come.…
The resort is beautiful, and the staff are wonderful. Check in was fast and we were greeted with delicious welcome drinks. The rooms are very nice, updated and clean. Our room was cleaned and restocked daily. The bathrooms lack any privacy which is stated in other reviews. The downside was the seaweed covering the beach. It was so bad that it made the beach unusable most of the week. The smell was horrible. We were able to walk down the beach to the right and swim through the seaweed to a sandbar where the water was shallow, and we could swim. There were a few days the seaweed was too bad to even swim to the sandbar. The pools were overcrowded all week due to very few people at the beach because of the seaweed and smell. The pools are not large enough to accommodate everyone. The chairs around the pools were all taken early. We talked to others at the airport, and everyone had the same beach experience in Cancun and Riviera Maya. The hotels did the best they could attempting to remove it, but the ocean was brown and packed solid with the seaweed. We thought the food was very good. Our favorites were the Italian, Steakhouse and buffet.…
Very please with Hotel RIU, food was awesome, rooms were clean and spacious, staff was beyond friendly and helpful and provided excellent service, never had an empty glass, we will definitely be back next year
There are some good and some not so good things about this resort. The good is food. Great variety and decent quality. Better than most of other places. Service is also pretty good. The BAD: no beach. It’s unusable. Not a fault of the resort, it’s a common problem in Mexico, but you should not book this place if beach is Important to you. Nightly entertainment is very poor. Almost non existent. But when there is something it’s soooo loud that you are sitting in your room and it’s extremely loud. Like now there is a ROck music. It’s almost 11 pm and I have to use earplugs even in my room. Please avoid with small kids. They would not be able to sleep until after midnight. Towels at the pool: any time you trying to get a towel after 1-2 pm they never have it. We had to walk to the room wet on many occasions.…
Really enjoyed this holiday, hotel very clean, food was varied and always something to chose from, staff can’t do enough for you, don’t have to rush to save a lounger by the pool as hotel is never too busy like some.
Our stay at the RIU Palace Riviera Maya was PERFECT! The hotel was absolutely beautiful! The staff is super friendly. They are all so hard working! The resort is spotless! Santos has a wonderful personality and was so fun to be around. Carlos (breakfast and buffet lunch server) was amazing and super friendly. We can't wait to book our next trip! I would without a doubt highly recommend the RIU Palace Riviera Maya!
