My husband and I just got married at the Fairmont Mayakoba on August 5th and when I say it was the most amazing day/weekend of our lives I mean it! If you’re looking for a destination wedding, I couldn’t recommend the Fairmont Mayakoba more. From getting basic info and locking in our contract with Xavier, to planning the wedding with my wedding coordinator Maricarmen, the whole process was seamless. Their attention throughout the whole process made planning a wedding all the way in New York so easy and I felt strongly that we were in great hands. They have an amazing list of vendors, from Cherry Blossom for flowers, Dream Art for photography and Encore for DJ/Music. Everyone was so professional. We had beautiful welcome bags made by Arly at Décor and Gifts which were also a huge hit. The hotel is absolutely STUNNING! We had sixty people at our wedding coming from all over North and South America who all stayed in different rooms that were all newly renovated. We stayed in their Signature Casita Suite, and it was GORGEOUS! The resort has an amazing balance of jungle and beach, they have golf carts that take you all over the resort and you also get to dine at the other three hotels in the Mayakoba property. Their beach is beautiful, no seaweed and no waves. They have many activities included in your stay like paddleboarding and a boat tour through their canals that is totally worth it. Their breakfast buffet is one of the best I’ve had, their steak house Tauro is brand new and DELICIOUS! The food at the beach during the day is great, we loved the ceviche, guacamole and quesadillas and of course the drinks were to die for. The food and drinks at our welcome cocktails and wedding reception were FENOMENAL! We had the most delicious strawberry margaritas for everyone when they arrived, and everyone is still talking about them. Their lobby bar is brand new, and they have some great sushi! The staff is so welcoming, super attentive and extremely professional. Our butler Miguel was super helpful, the spa was amazing, Dory who handled our turndown service, was the best, room service was quick and the front desk staff was so helpful and happy to help at any time. It’s been two weeks since our wedding and our friends and family are still reaching out raving about the trip/wedding. They have a beach club with a handful of restaurants opening very soon so we’re planning to return as soon as we recover from our trip. This place will forever hold a very special place in my heart and we will 100% be going back soon.…
We stayed in one of the suites overlooking the canal with a private pool on the terrace. The rooms were recently renovated and enough room for a family of 4. The hospitality was excellent especially at all the food establishments and drivers. We even had our own private butler that checked in on us to help with reservations, taxis and outside and on-property excursions and activities. Rodrigo really made the trip memorable. Lots of fun activities for children (kayaking, biking, arcades and swimming pools). Note that many water sports did have a 12 year age minimum. The buffet was delicious! A definite highlight with all the local and Mexican specialties and fruit. What a great way to end the summer!
We had an amazing dinner at Las Brisas. The food was incredibly fresh. It was also delicious. Edward was our server. We eat out regularly. Edward was the kindest, most knowledgeable, attentive server that I have experienced in years. The view and ambiance is magnificent. We highly recommend Las Brisas. Make sure to connect with Edward if you come. Excellent experience all around!
My stay was brief but very relaxing. The facility was still under construction, but the hotel went out of their way to minimize the impact. The spa was an amazing experience. My provider's name is Kenya and she was absolutely AMAZING. I had two treatments with her, the Mayan Bath Ritual and the Chocolate Food of the Gods. The Mayan Bath Ritual truly had everything you could want in a single treatment; a body scrub, bath, massage, and head rub. I also enjoyed the complementary boat ride with Ulises who was knowledgeable and friendly. There were countless golf cart drivers who were very friendly and helpful in learning the layout of the hotel. The food was delicious and all staff friendly and professional.
Had amazing service at this hotel.. It's is amazing- beach time Edward and Jan and Diego at the tiki beach bar is the best. Amazing people, amazing service, amazing location. This is my 8th time visiting and I'm always amazed.
The food was amazing and the service was even better. Edward, our server, reminded us of why we come back this resort over and over again. Everything about Fairmont Mayakoba is amazing. Thanks for another great vacation.
We stayed in the beachfront premium King room. Amazing and friendly attentative service. We had our own private butler that popped in and out and made sure our trip went smoothly. If you stay in a butler suite ask for Rodrigo! He’s hilarious and very professional. The beachside service was great. We loved Oscar Puc and Filiberto Tun and Nico for beachside service. So nice and took care of every need! The Tauro steakhouse and martini bar were wonderful. We even had a private wine tasting in the wine room at the steakhouse. We wanted to do the water sports but instead enjoyed the beach and our private pool. Don’t hesitate to book!
Perfect time at Mayakoba Fairmont! The food is exceptional and we had a magical meal at La Playita restaurant on the beach. Edward was our server and recommended the traditional Mexican drink Carajillo (espresso and 43 liquor ice) at the end of our meal. The short ribs and pass fruit bomb were also amazing. The service at Mayakoba Fairmont has been so lovely and the beach/hotel has exceeded our expectations. So easy to get around and not crowded. We did the inclusive package and can’t recommend it enough!
I recently had a chance to dive with the Mayakoba dive center. Given the passage of time (2 years) since my last dive, I needed to refresh my skills before the planned two-tank open water dives. Mayakoba Dive Master Gustavo led me through the refresher, and he was excellent. He taught me some new dive preparation tips and reminded me of critical safety skills. Gustavo and his dive boat team took us out for two dives, and they were terrific. The reefs were very healthy, and teeming with interesting sea life. I can't praise Gustavo enough; he was focused on making these dives interesting and safe. I would rank Gustavo as one of the top dive masters I have been lucky enough to dive with. I definitely recommend diving with Gustavo and the Mayakoba team.
The service and food were wonderful at the playita. Leo, Edward and Paula are absolutely fantastic. They make you feel really special. The resort is superb and there is one more special gem at the bamboo pool ... Adrian. He is a professional and an artist. His destiny is to be the best. Greta job guys. It has been a real pleasure and a treat being with you for a week
