Hotel's Favorite
We have traveled throughout Mexico and many other places. This was our first visit to Playa del Carmen. We love it here. Part of the visit we stayed at this property. It is so beautiful and perfectly maintained. Excellent helpful staff, and excellent location. Everything you need is a short walk. We can’t wait to return and stay in a villa with rooftop view of Cozumel. Sadly we return home tomorrow.

This hotel was so centrally located, clean and a great price! The rooftop has beautiful views! Also, we had a queen suite that was huge and continental breakfast in the morning was a nice plus! The staff was awesome and I will definitely stay at Acanto in the future.

My wife Carol & I had a marvelous stay the Acanto Hotel Boutique! The location just steps off 5th Avenue cannot be beat. We had a broken AC unit in our room and they upgraded us immediately to a lovely condo unit. It made our stay seem a dream. The hotel is a beautiful oasis in the heart of PDC. We loved the wonderful outdoor breakfast each day and lounging poolside on lazy afternoons. While the grounds and rooms made us feel welcome it was the staff that made our stay truly memorable. We cannot thank our new friend Miguel enough for his cheerful and constant attention to our every need. He went above and beyond day and night to make sure we had an amazing stay! Liliana at the front desk couldn’t have been more helpful and was always ready to help. All in all we would heartily recommend the Acanto Hotel Boutique to anyone visiting PDC. We absolutely fell in love with this old world charming hotel. Located in the middle of all the action of Playa. The property is sparkling clean. The room was spacious and so very comfortable. The staff here are WONDERFUL. They made our stay so great that we plan to return when we visit again. Liliana and Miguel were always super helpful with any of our requests and recommendations. My only complaints about the property itself is that the elevator wasn't working properly all the time, so I was scared to use it. We also had issues with the temperature in the living room area, but it was okay because the bedroom area was always cool and comfortable. The property is older, so some things look old and outdated, such as the hair dryer, ironing board and some of the utensils/equipment in the kitchen. Perhaps going through the guest rooms and making sure that things are working properly and up to date would help. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here because we were super close to everything we wanted to do and at night we weren't bothered by any noise. We also enjoyed the simple breakfast provided by Miguel. Fresh fruit, pastries, yogurt, coffee and toast. It was perfect to get us going in the mornings. They also had water available for us to refill our bottles throughout our stay which was super helpful because it was HOT as balls. Despite the little issues we had, we plan to book with Acanto again in the future. Again Liliana and Miguel were wonderful, and our room was super comfortable. Highly recommend them!…

Hidden Gem! Amazing location and wonderful staff. This lovely was very well maintained. Helpful staff and a nice outdoor breakfast. Spanish style decor. Would definitely stay there again. Felt very safe and very walkable. Close to restaurants and Fifth Ave.

The hotel and room were very clean, nice and spacious. Breakfast offered with a wide variety of food. Delicious fruits. Beautiful swimming pool. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is just perfect for a walk around the city center. The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. Miquel was working very hard to serve us an excellent breakfast and answer all of our questions about local attractions and more. We will recommend your hotel and hopefully stay again.

Great front desk opened easy check in offered water on a long hot day helped with luggage. Showed me around very nice spacious one bedroom suite.
