We stayed at the Hilton Playa Del Carmen for 3 nights after being in Cancun for 3 nights. We had a Junior Suite oceanfront walk out room. (tip, upgrade the room it's worth it) This is a beautiful resort. I have nothing bad to say at all, amazing food. Amazing service, just steps from 5th avenue which is always fun. The food here was fantastic! Some of the best meals I have ever had at an all inclusive. We would go back to this resort for sure!!
Several years ago, my then-boyfriend and I went to the Royal (now Hilton) Playa del Carmen for a friend's birthday. We loved everything about the experience and vowed to come back for our wedding, whenever that may occur. 6 years later, he proposed, and the first thing we did was contact the Royal. Paola, our wedding concierge, was phenomenal. She took care of every detail, answered every question, and made what could have been a stressful wedding-planning experience carefree. Every special request, every last-minute change, Paola took in stride and ensured that we had the wedding of our dreams. Our wedding was perfect, absolutely perfect.
I was a bit worried when the Royal changed ownership midway through wedding planning, but there was not a single falter in service or experience now that the hotel is operating under the Hilton brand name. From the moment we walked through the doors, the service was impeccable. Our room was wonderful, and I would like to thank our housekeeper Luz for all of the special touches - rose petals on our bed every day, a luxurious drawn bath the night before our wedding, and delightful towel animals each day. The service team at the restaurants were equally professional and offered great service. Jorge, the headwaiter, provided us with a beautiful moonlit dinner on the beach, and even our daily meals in the various restaurants were impressive. I wish I recalled the name of the gentleman running the lobby - he was stellar. From day one to the moment he left, the service he provided was absolutely unmatched. He was a star.
We are already looking forward to our 1-year anniversary when we plan to return to the Hilton Playa del Carmen. Thank you to the entire team for making our wedding truly magical.
I want to thank the kitchen, entertainment, lobby, and cleaning girls. It has a perfect apartment in the spa, better attention from the reception. gustavo, raymundo and marco. They are admirable. soon I will come with my whole family
We’re still at the hotel. We just went to the tequila bar and I asked for a margarita made with Don Julio, which I have drinking from several of the bars since we arrived. The bartender told me he didn’t have any and that they didn’t have that tequila available. I told him we had been drinking it for a couple of days now. I was told again that it was not available because they had run out and he hadn’t seen it in over three weeks. I told him the bar next door had it and we had it at the tequila bar the night before. He didn’t call anyone to ask, just told us he didn’t have it and offered me Cazadores. I’m paying $600+ a night. At this price point I expect to be treated a better and I definitely expect to have top shelf liquor available, not Cazadores tequila.
There’s too much competition in this town to offer this type of service. Very disappointed!
We had the best visit yet. Our most favorite employee was Armando (Israel). He took such great care of us at Spice that our last breakfast before leaving I gave him a hug! This hotel goes out of their way to make us comfortable. Pool time is great. We met friendly people from all over the world. Tequila tasting class was very interesting. We love this hotel!
