Over the new year weekend my boyfriend and I decided to take the ferry from Cozumel to Playa Del Carmen. We had a difficult time finding a place to stay until we stumbled upon Playa Vintage. A huge room, private bath, and beautiful backyard provided a lovely and relaxing evening. We were walking distance to downtown. I wish that it was not completely booked up so we could have stayed longer!

Booked into the Playa Vintage B&B for our 10nights holiday in Playa. There are 2 villas owned by the owners villa A6 and A9, so when we arrived we waited outside A6 for a few minutes and Alexsandro came and found us as he was waiting for us in A9. We was allocated the Sweet Holiday room upstairs which consisted of 2 good size and comfortable beds, walk-in shower en-suite, large wardrobe and drawers and small fridge. The room is air-conditioned and is very spacious with high ceiling. The garden with a good size pool was shared by around 10 villas but secured and we had the pool to ourselves most time during our stay. We can use the living room and facilities in the kitchen so feels very much like home from home especially when we have a toddler with us. The owners doesn't live in the villas but they visit the site everyday to clean so we can chat to them if need t. The location of the villa is superb as we are located on the Hard Rock golf course in Playacar so very safe, only 5mims walk and we are in the busy area of 5th Avenue and 10th Avenue offers all the shops and restaurants and the beach. Chedurai supermarket is 10mins walk away or there's is a mini-mart and chemist outside the site. We found a lovely cafe hut just outside the site gates which offers coffee for 15peso, toasted sandwich for 30peso and they do other healthy fruit drinks and foods made fresh to order. This B&B is ideal if you want flexibility and very family friendly. We love eating out but we also have the option to get a take away and relax at the B&B if we don't feel like going out. Will definitely recommend the Playa Vintage B&B and f we are ever back in Playa we would stay here again.

Website very misleading. Owners do not speak English, it was hard to communicate. They are not on the premises full time. They provide a phone number so you can call them if need be.No breakfast is served, you can't even get a cup of coffee. Room was on main floor, small but clean. Our bathroom was outside our room and if we did not lock the bathroom door when out, other guests can use it. Had an incident where guest on second floor was locked out of her room. Our bedroom key fit the lock and we were able to open the door for her. No safe in the room, so not very secure. Free access to beach club, don't waste your time. Had to climb down an embankment to get into water lined with boats. Not good area for swimming, lounge chairs were nice but very crowded.

It's located in Playacar,a gated community in the center of playa, the villa has a communal pool and garden that is just fine to relax when we got back from the beach or quinta avenida.....the king room where we stayed also has a private patio overlooking the garden and the pool which it was nice.....the owners were super nice and helped us with anything we needed.......if you want to be in a quiet place but still be walking distance to quinta avenida, restaurants and clubs this is definitely one of the best options in town......

We spent 3 very nice days there. The place is located in a nice, safe a quite area. The owners who live there a very nice and kind people always keen to give good recommendations and tips about where to go and what to do. The rooms are nice, confortable and clean. The breakfast healthy and with good quality. There is also a nice swimming pool on the backyards of the B&B. What you get is definitely worth the price you pay. Carlo, Katja, Gabriel and Adele
