This hostel stands out in ultra-commercial Playa Del Carmen. The dorms are cheap, at 200 pesos, and breakfast of coffee, toast, and jam is included. There is a nice rooftop terrace and the location is excellent. The have a kitchen space and also a large TV with netflix. There is currently a large construction site next door, so there is... More

To be fair, the wifi worked, it is in a good location, and there is a decent rooftop area and hot water. However, the toilet and shower are in the middle of the communal eating and lounge area - open-plan adjacent to the kitchen. Being a little gassy, I opted to use a nearby public toilet to avoid making noise... More

I was hooked by the price of this hostel in spite of its bad reviews. When we arrived, we were friendly welcomed and everything seemed to be going well. Yes, it isn't that comfortable and clean but we were paying $450 pesos for a private room for two! However, on our second night, my sister (we are two girls) noticed... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights in a single room. Good hostel with lots of information. The pictures suggested i got a thatched room but in fact it was a room next to the communial lounge and kitchen. Good atmosphere but could improve the cleaning.

How is this place still open?? It is mind boggling. This is the most disgusting place I have ever stayed and I am probably the least picky person as a traveler. It is beyond unsanitary and disgusting. It is so hot and rank inside there. It honestly reminded me of a quarantine hut for ebloa patients in Africa. The staff... More

This hotel was much worse than we could have expected. The description online gave the impression of a tropical hut with a thatched roof, tiled floor and nice atmosphere. We found nothing like this. On arrival the guy at the front desk was obviously stoned and didn't really know what was going on, he gave us the wrong room key... More

This place is worse than terrible. We got there and found the reception to be dark and dirty, with the guy at the desk not having a clue of what to do - he had to ask a group of people who may or may not have been associated with the hostel to help him. The room was even worse;... More

This has got to be the most disgusting, unhygienic, dirty, safety hazardous and badly maintained place I have ever seen in my lifetime! The place has holes in walls, dirty mattresses and smelly sheets and pillows!a couple of rats also were residents as they came out the hole in the kitchen to feed on the food left on the kitchen...
