A really lovely hotel, with a unique design, great rooms, and EXCELLENT staff. They were incredibly helpful. They were wonderful hosts, guides, and served us every day during breakfast. The location is very convenient, close to the action but away from the noise, with two convenience shops across the street and walmart 500 feet away, not to mention the beautiful park across the street with live music and food on the weekends.

This is a very nice small hotel with extraordinary service. We stay here every time we are in Playa del Carmen. You feel so comfortable in this place, that you really feel like home. This was our fifth time and we stayed for 8 days. The hotel is excellently located 5 minutes walk from the beach and two blocks from la Quinta Avenida, that is the heart of Playa del Carmen, full of restaurants, bars and cafes, but despite this, the hotel is very quiet and the environment is very relaxed. And this place is cheap when you consider the prices in Playa del Carmen. We strongly recommend it!

Fire at the hotel - no fire alarm and staff didn’t give a dam. There was a fire here in the middle of the night- bloody scary when your fast asleep and you just hear people shouting outside. It wasn’t until I looked outside that we saw flames and smoke and realised it was next to our room. We literally grabbed our valuables and passports and then there was a police woman at the door banging and yelling to get o quickly. The corridors were already filling with smoke. If other people hand trained the alarm I get e to think what the outcome could have been ! Staff didn’t do a roll call or check if everyone had got out - we felt so unsafe that we left the next day even though we were supposed to have another day and night left. Staff don’t ask why we were leaving, offered no refund - just said ok and took the key. Not the way to treat paying guests. They didn’t seem to care if we were ok or anything. Definitely won’t be going back

I think expectations are really important with booking this hotel. On google it's listed as a 4 star hotel and has generally has >4.7/5 reviews. It's not a terrible hotel, however I was expecting a 4 star hotel and that's why the rating is poor. I'll list a few things: -There are no blankets provided in the room. It's Mexico, it gets hot and humid so I'll turn the AC on but then it's freezing. So either face the humidity or freeze? I went downstairs to ask for blankets and the attendant said I was only allowed (1) and it was the size of a full-sized bed, and we are sleeping on a king bed. -There's no phone in the hotel room. It's a beautiful space but windy so it is a trek to go downstairs and go see the front desk to request anything. -The shower head is broken -There isn't any hot water, it's lukewarm/tepid temp On the pros: the space is beautiful, very traditional, and the employees have been very nice. The hotel is also a short walk to the more touristy section, close to the beach, to ADO bus stop (~10 mins walk), to grocery stores, and lots of restaurants/food carts. They also do provide beach towels and the room is clean The area is great, but less noisy and I wasn't woken up by any noise and i'm facing the street. I think if it was correctly rated as a 2.5-3 star hotel I would have set my expectations correctly and those expectations would have been met.

A fantastic, cheap, clean, comfortable and convenient hotel! It’s right next to ADO Terminal Media. If you take the ADO bus from Cancun airport it’s the second stop in PDC and a 300 ft walk to the hotel. Then it’s just a couple blocks from Quinta Avenida and right next to Plaza 28 de Julio which has a fabulous market on the weekends. The attached restaurant has complimentary breakfast which is light but delicious and dinner that is very good as well. The rooftop pool has a great view!

It is a great value to for the price. The room had a king bed. It was VERY clean. It is located about 10 minutes to either bus station (walking distance for sure!). It was very close to some great restaurants, 5th Ave, food carts on the plaza across the street, the ferry to Cozumel, and the beach. It did have a tiny shower.

Just checked out today, gave 5 out of 5 because it was great value for money, the room was cleaned every day and clean towels every day, hot and powerful shower, shower screen leaked and wet the floor but that's what the floor towel is for, the bed was a super king and very comfortable, the inside of the hotel is beautiful, traditional furniture and decor. The outside could do with a bit of tidying up. The breakfast was good, plate of melon, a coffee or juice and choice of eggs, pancakes or trad mexican. If you went down at peak time it was a bit slow but that's the same in any hotel what ever the rating. The staff where friendly and always cheerful. At the end of the day it cost €30 per person per night including breakfast. Bargain in my eyes 5 out of 5. Plus Ray Romano works there...I kid you not.

We love this hotel and stay here every time we visit. Some of the rooms have giant tubs so clean you actually relax while taking a bath in them. The beds are comfortable, the location is in a safe neighborhood, walking distance to a couple huge stores and good restaurants, rooms are clean, very few bugs if any, the breakfast is wonderful. But what keeps us coming back are the amazing front desk staff. They are so friendly and helpful and give SUPERB customer service. We feel like friends returning each year. Thank you for always showing us kindness and being so helpful and amazing. We will sea you next year. Love, the Mermaid

Very nice hotel. Location is perfect, close to everything: beach, restaurants and 5 ave shops. Staff is helpful and very friendly. Breakfast was included, tasteful and delicious. We really enjoyed it. Every night we had entertainment on municipal square which was across the street: concerts, local food and crafts, Halloween parties and so on. Highly recommended.

I had the most positive stay here for 2 nights in June/21, king size comfy mattress, private balcony with table and chairs to sit on, free hot full breakfast included, free drinking water, coffee&tea 24/7, 2 pools and 2 whirlpool/hottubs - one of each on the main floor and the rooftop with lounge chairs around on both floors and an elevator in the building. A gorgeously decorated and functional large room, and private bathroom w/hot water for shower, a/c, ceiling fan and balcony doors open for fresh air, very clean, staff were exceptionally kind and very professional, no issues at all--except wanting to stay even longer! haha Walked in while looking for a place to stay, and got a great nightly deal not even offered by discount sites for this hotel. I HIGHLY recommend if you are in town for any time at all to stay here, its across from the town municipal square, beside a casino, 2 blocks from Walmart and 3 blocks from the beach. Tell em Andy B. sent you! It is THE BEST HOTEL in #playa i have found over 11 months here so far; with NOT ONE complaint i could even think of--and I'm usually quite good at finding the negative things! haha ;)
